First visit: We can not wait to return! Hands down our new favorite restaurant! Our servers name was Moe and he was so helpful, kind and the service was quick! ***Update, second visit. Walked in tonight at 8:31 and was told they stopped seating at 8:30. We said we have a long car ride in a small car. Still no table. The girl behind the register was so rude and annoyed. Their hours are advertised as 9pm closing. This was misleading and they should publish that they stop seating at 8:30. Because of this we will not be returning. The contrast of service from our visit last week to tonight is wild. No matter how good the food is, it's not worth being treated poorly. I changed a 5 star to 1.

Always freshly baked bread served before you even order. Try their super delicious garlic dip, the fattoush salad and also shawarmas. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic service. This restaurant is the best one in Livonia!

I have been coming here several months. I ordered food every 2 to 3 weeks and always had good service. On my last 2 visits the service was poor and the food was cold and burnt. Bread was tough. On a second visit the wrong food was served. They were supposed to replace food but acted like they did not know what I was talking about. I informed them of the waitress’ name and they still were claiming they were unaware. The waitress said it would be no problem to replace the food. This was about a week later and I heard someone in background saying “That was burnt food.” Manager-never said name- agreed to replace it after several questions and confronting statements about the order. He seemed very reluctant to correct their mistake. When I arrived the food was ready but no soup or bread. I asked and manager said food plate was bad and I did not say soup. I told him whole meal was bad and didn’t soup come with meal. In a confrontational manner again he said “you had your soup!” I have driven 25 min to this place in pandemic and high gas prices but never again. This customer treatment is sub standard by far. I have worked quality management and this is poor. There are other places with higher quality food and respectful customer practices. My recommendation is go somewhere else.

I order food from here quite often. Great food, but the girls who work the counter and the phones are usually super rude on the phones. There is another Mediterranean place right around the corner that gets my business now.

It pains me to write this review. I was one of the first customers to patronize Palm Palace when it first opened over a decade ago, and I have continued to patronize this establishment during this time. However, I will no longer do so for the reasons stated below. On October 24, 2020, my girlfriend and I arrived at Palm Palace for dinner. There were still several hours of operation before closing, but we were the only customers there. It was slightly chilly outside, but we decided to eat out, reasoning that it would not take long since no other customers were there. As we seated ourselves, we confirmed with an employee that they were in fact serving patrons in the dining area. Two different staff members observed as we took our seat as the only two patrons there. We then sat as employees passed by, one after the other, looking at us but saying nothing. We reasoned that perhaps they were immensely busy due to a large influx of takeout orders, but the dearth of vehicles and takeout customers who arrived negated this theory. After waiting between 10 to 15 minutes as the only patrons there and watching employee after employee walk by only to look at us and then continue on, I called the restaurant on my cellphone, still seated in the dining area, to confirm that they were in fact serving dine-in customers. A man named Yusuf answered the telephone and confirmed that they were in fact serving dine-in customers. I inquired nicely why, then, had my girlfriend and I been sitting in the otherwise empty dining area as employees walked by, acting as though we were not even there. Sounding surprised at what I had told him, Yusuf assured me that he would send someone out to take our order. Pleased with how diplomatically I had handled the situation, I continued to wait, expecting some hurried server to come scrambling over to our table, apologizing profusely for their oversight. But it never happened. Much to our surprise, the envisioned apologetic server was not forthcoming. After several minutes, we left, leaving the dining area completely empty. I expressed my dissatisfaction to an employee whom we passed while walking to our vehicle to leave, but he appeared to care less about what had just transpired. My girlfriend and I then proceeded to Shish, located at 37240 Five Mile Road in Livonia, and there we enjoyed a merry evening dining out with impeccable customer service. This is how businesses fail – one customer at a time. Goodbye, Palm Palace. Hello, Shish.

Big disappointment. Has gone downhill last couple years. I understand price increased now a days. But both a 25% increase in price, and a 50% decrease in portion. 20 bucks for a bed of humous and a bit of chicken and a bag burnt bread. 2 maybe 3 oz of chicken, and a pile pine nuts.

I used to enjoy the food here, but this time it was awful. The grilled veggies we ordered included half an onion which was raw in the middle, half a green bell pepper WITH THE SEEDS AND STEM STILL ATTACHED, and 2 mostly raw whole carrots with patches of peel still on them. The hummus was good. The bread was hot. The zesty gallaba was resting in a POOL OF OIL which I poured out and measured because I was so angry. It amounted to about a quarter of a cup. I would never eat here again, to be honest. There are much better options available in the area. If your kitchen is so careless as to leave the seeds and stem in a sweet bell pepper, I can't imagine how careless they might be with food safety.

I've been coming here more than 7 years. I've watched them grow into a second unit in the strip mall. We've recommended this place to family. People we've referred, have even left good reviews in the past. I can't do that now. Every part of the experience was poor. There was confusion about who was going to seat the people waiting before us. It took over 10 minutes to talk to our waitress after we were sat. We had to ask for twice for water, and didn't get them until halfway through the meal. We asked the waitress at the table next to us for water but we're told "I'm not your waitress". When the appetizers came we were only given two plates for three people. I had to go to the front of the restaurant to get an extra plate. The table next to us from earlier, who had bread, was eating it over their napkins, which was complicated by only being given two for a table of 3. So one of them was using half of the napkin from the bread bowl. The smoothie we ordered didn't come until almost the end of the meal. The food we were given was cold (I can't really believe it came from the kitchen that way). The parts of our order that they got right we're good. After we paid, on the way out we had to walk through some "discussion" between the person taking carryout orders and some people waiting to pickup their orders. I've literally watched this place grow and been proud to recommend it to others. It makes me very disappointed to see this place in this state. Assuming the discussion we observed is a one-off, this place may still be viable for carry out.

Eat here at your own risk. My friends had our family over for dinner, when we got there we decided to order carryout at Sheesh (Saturday 7/9/22). We ordered $100 in food, including a platter, 2 meat combination trays and 4 salads with bread. We ate dinner, and hung out then left and went back home. As soon as we got home, myself my husband and my almost 10mo old got very sick. (Food poisoning kinda sick). My best friend told me that they both were sick as well. Three of our kids who didn't have the food were fine. She called immediately the next day and they said the manager wasn't in and would call back, he NEVER called back. She called again and when she finally got ahold of him, he explained that we "didn't call immediately" which was a LIE. He refused to call back and that he would refund half of the meal. He was calling us liars saying that it wasn't the food that made us sick which in fact it was. We each have our own families and homes, that was the last meal that any of us ate before we became ill. He then tried to make the excuse that we didn't call right away which was also a LIE. They were closed when everyone was on the toilet the entire night and also she called immediately that morning and he continued to avoid the call. When he finally answered he stated that it was our faults and that the food was fine. He never once took responsibility for never calling back or even looking into the situation. Bad business, bad food, and contamination. Will never eat here again. McDonald's would have been so much better. So gross.

Ordered two mains, one with fries and one with rice without nuts, a salad, a soup, picked veg, and hummus. What was delivered: two mains with uncooked vegetables, rice with nuts (a nut allergy!), two salads, pickled veg, and hummus. What we didn’t get: No fries, no pita bread (who ordered just a tub of hummus???), and no nuts. Also, the picked veg had jalapeños in it and was far too spicy for my dining companion. The menu did not say “spicy” or indicate peppers in any way. I’m thoroughly disappointed because the meat was very tasty! But I couldn’t each much else due to nuts. If you have allergies, this is not the place to go. If you have food sensitivities, this is not the place to go. If you like eating your hummus in any manner except on a spoon, this is not the place to go.

Food was fresh and flavorful. Warm fresh naan and (romesco?) dip appetizer was really nice! Beef kabobs were very tender and not over done -perfect medium. We also tried Chicken Shwarma. Large portions -come hungry! Service was good on a Friday evening. Will return!

If you're looking for a restaurant that offers bread that looks like it's been run over by a stampede of wildebeests, then this is the place for you! I must admit, I was disappointed not to receive any garlic dip for my bread, but hey, at least it made for a good paperweight. As for the food, I'll give it a solid 6 out of 10 - which is pretty generous considering I had to use my fork as a crowbar to pry it out of the plate. But hey, if you're looking for an arm workout while you dine, this place has got you covered! Overall, if you're in the mood for a restaurant with a unique bread presentation and an unexpected workout, then give this place a try. Just don't forget to bring your own garlic dip!

Had to wait 11 minutes to pay for a carry out order as the girl at the cash register was on the phone taking orders. As everyone working there could see I was waiting, as well several other people, a boy who was bagging orders, finally came over. When I complained about the wait. He said he as busy! The smarter response would have been to apologize. I suggest teaching your staff that customers come first, & greeting customers in a friendly manner. Anyone of your employees could have rung up our order as the restaurant as the restaurant not busy. Very disappointed!

Absolutely the BEST babe ghanoush around. Large helpings for hungry people, and the sampler plate is enough for two people plus! Great prices, good service, wonderful food. It gets a little crowded at dinner time, so plan on about 10 minute wait.

I always enjoy this place. I have recommended Sheesh to friends. The food is always good as is the staff. And the food arrives hot in a timely manner. When busy, I would pick lentil soup to go...always good, especially with the warm pita.

Good tasting food. Never been disappointed here. Big portions, too. I took home more than I had in the restaurant. The garlic and sauce are great mixed together and make a great dip for the fresh bread. Highly recommended.

Unfortunate carry out last night experience- we ordered sheesh combo which had NO LAMB, 2 small tough pieces of beef, 3 chicken pieces & a few meatballs. Carrots - the only vegetable - normally there’s onions& peppers. Salad was sent with large pieces of lettuce, a few chopped carrots- poorly made. This is the 2nd carryout that came to us this way. No more.

This is the best place to eat if you need to loose weight. I think I’ve lost 7 pounds in 24 hours already from the food poisoning. They are filthy in there, they don’t wash their hands, and they don’t follow safe food handling!

One of my local favorite restaurants! Their lentil soup is one of the best in area and their pita is always hot and fresh out of the oven. Whether you dine in or just pick-up for takeout you won't be disappointed. Every time I visit this place is always busy, sometimes you may not be able get through over the phone so be patient and try again, they handle a crazy amount of phone orders. It's hands down worth the wait though!

Why charge me for food that you don't have?

I always place my order at this restaurant, and I drive from Ann Arbor cause the by my house doesn’t have good service. For past 3 times, they made my order incorrectly. Last time soups were sour, but I didn’t complain, today when I went to pick it up, I mentioned that soups were sour so double check my order cause I can’t drive back all the way from Ann Arbor. They just looked at my face and made no comment. I was expecting at least a sorry, but nothing. I was furious when I got home and items were missing, missing 2 of the chicken tenders orders, 4 oz Garlic, and my hummus. I called the restaurant and the person I was spoke to was rude and wouldn’t let me finish what I had to say. Never coming back.

Sheesh has been my go-to place for middle eastern food. The taste is really authentic from my perspective and the portion of the food is generous. We always order the sheesh combo for 2 people and it has chicken kebab, beef kafta and grilled beef. Make sure you also order their hummus - very creamy and beat the store bought ones. The reason I give four stars are they sometime make mistakes with their food. sometime they mistaken fried with rice (ok, we can live with that). Recently we ordered tabouli salad and it was overly salted. you can see the salt with naked eyes....it seems the food consistency needs to be improved. overall, I still like this place and support their business.

Hands down, the best arab food in Plymouth. They make their pita fresh in house and their chicken shawarma when ordered with tahini instead of garlic sauce are a dream.

Food is good. I am a regular that has been coming here for years. I simply was trying to get someone's order one day and was treated with ultimate disrespect and attitude by this fat, brunette with glasses name Ana Li or whatever. Horrible individual that was taking her bad dat out on a regular customer. Until they fire her I wont be coming back. The manager did apologize for her rude behavior and offered a free sandwich.

  • 1/5 Fahd M. 3 years ago on Google
Please stay away. If there was a restaurant that exemplified quantity over quality, this is it. Ordered sampler plate combo, sheesh combo, and falafel. Kabob and Shawarma pieces were huge but lacked any flavor. The beef kabob was rare and chewy. Falafel pieces looked great from outside, but actually undercooked inside due to large size. The fattoush lacked flavor and had few soft pita chips. Who puts soft pita on their fattoush?? Rice and Tawook were the only items that tasted okay. Ended up throwing away half the food due to poor and barely lackluster quality. Anyways, I hope they take steps to address the food quality. A ton of people get drawn to the place due to stellar reviews. It's misleading.

Used to love this place, and I am sure we will love it again, but for now, skip it. They are overwhelmed with carry out orders and cant get them correct. Too many errors. When all this is over, go back and get a meal there, the food is great.

This place used to be awesome, but the last couple of times I've been there the quality has slipped a bit. Their salads used to use mostly romaine lettuce but the last time it was iceberg lettuce, the tomatoes were old and soggy and the dressing isn't the same either. They still give you several pieces of warm bread but if you ask for an extra garlic paste they charge you a dollar, even though I left a $2 tip on a carry out. Hopefully it was just a one off experience at least I hope so.

Ok first off, the food continues to be very solid, service is prompt for takeout, and they're friendly. However ... While everyone has a mask on, many folks aren't wearing masks correctly! During this time it's important in a business like Sheesh that proper precautions are taken.

Most kitchen staff did not wear a mask,, staff in the front did wear masks. Phone was busy for 15 minutes, placed order in person and told 20 minutes. 35 minutes later got my tawook fatoush salad which was actually just 1 grilled chicken breastbwith no tawook seasoning. Food was decent, chicken had 0 flavor.

I was very appreciative when the bus boy came and wiped my table down when I requested. The food was delicious. I got the lamb chops and they were cooked exactly to my liking. The bread was also very fresh I do recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic Mediterranean experience and definitely will be returning with more friends and family

Upon 1st looking at the menu it might appear expensive, however don't be fooled. Portions are generous. Taste is incredible. I have been to many middle eastern restaurants and this is the first one to serve salsa with a Mediterranean twist. It had cumin in it. Very tasty. I had the Swordfish Ghalaba that was excellent. The fish was tender without being mushy, almost like a fresh poke. The meal came with 2 sides.

I have enjoyed going to this location for the last ten years. Have not gone for the past two years due to Covid. Service in the past and food had been A+but today it was not the Sheesh food or service. I felt as if ownership has changed. Hygiene was questionable as well. Service part one can forgive because of shortage of labor but other aspects I am having a hard time to reconcile. Very disappointing.

One of the best middle eastern restaurants in Metro Detroit! We enjoyed the lamb tips with hammous as an appetizer, followed by chicken ghalaba as our entree. Fantastic meal as always!

The waitress ran my credit card 4 times with four different charges. When I checked my statement, only two had been voided. When I tried to get it fixed, it took four phone calls and 50 minutes. The owner was insisting that we were getting a free meal. Not cool.

The veggie sampler dish is so much good food! The staff was kind and the food was tasty. It felt like a healthy, affordable, and quick take out option.

I was craving Lebanese food and just outside Dearborn, but Google Maps led me to Sheesh. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the mixed combo plate. The meat was cooked perfectly and there was a healthy serving of grilled onions and veggies on the plate. The fattoush and crushed lentil soup were amazing. If you're ever in Livonia and want authentic Lebanese cuisine, this place is amazing. You will probably take food home with you as the servings are very generous.

So I went in today for the first time around Tuesday 7pm and waited a couple of minutes to be greeted and than finally our server came and sat us. She was a thin caucasian girl she never mentioned her name. So we knew what we wanted already and I didn't see anywhere on the menu that it was halal. So I asked her if the meat was halal and she looked at me and said what's that?? Than she says sure like I told her a joke. I told her to ask someone that's brighter than her so she did. She came and said everything was except the quail and chicken liver. You're working in a middle eastern restaurant know what your serving first and the owners need to train the staff better. I really didn't want to leave her a tip but my conscience didn't let me so I left her 15%! The lamb chop wasn't well done it still had some pink in it but they definitely charred it. The lamb chili was gamey and very watery. The beef kafta was also gamey and undercooked. The best thing was the bread and garlic butter which wasn't complimentary but no complaints on that!

Some of the best lentil soup in the area! Get the hot bread - every time. I absolutely love their food. It's always great. High quality meat. Excellent baked goods. Delicious seasoning. I'd highly-recommend.

The bread here is amazing, fresh and baked on premises. I had the chicken kabob, overall good just a bit too burnt in parts. Lots of rice with the entree. I would definitely eat here again.
