Kuzzo's is pretty good food. The taste of the chicken and waffles was great. The waffle was a really good quality and flavor. The chicken was a tiny bit dry when it came out but the onion and gravy covering was awesome. You have to wait a little bit to get your food so don't dine in if you're in a hurry. But the wait is worth the flavor if you have time. Enjoyed the experience and was very tasty.

Kuzzo's did not disappoint! We went twice while in Michigan so if you're ever in/near Detroit, GO! We both had chicken & 2waffles "(Big Red" - red velvet and "What Up Doe"). The waffles were delicious and the chicken was well seasoned and nice & crisp. I also had a side of grits which were delicious and had the perfect consistency (which is important to me). The mimosas are on point as well.👌🏽 The staff were VERY friendly & hospitable. The overall ambience was nice as well. (Check out the wall art.) I suggest you go as soon as they open or there will be a wait. It gets crowded quick!

My friend and I had a delightful brunch! In my experience on this trip the customer service was pretty good. I do see where improvements can be made. That positive direction needs to be reflected within management. They have a lot of potential to be even greater. The owners have to want that and develop a great culture to continue to succeed. That area is growing rapidly and looking great! I hope they have continued positive growth.

Waited 40 minutes for my food to come out . My eggs were cold even the plate was barely warm . My waffle was also cold and soggy .The catfish was hot and delicious . I was excited to try this place after flying into Detroit . So I asked the waitress to bring me a hot waffle and send the manager over for feedback . The Human resource manager’s daughter came to resolve our complaint because there was no manager on staff . While she stood speaking to us I ate a piece of waffle with what appeared to be some gum like substance in it . She did immediately apologize and offer to comp my meal once I found the gum like substance . Prior to that she made excuses saying they don’t open until 10 so although they were open when we arrived the kitchen was not ready to serve . Not only was the food subpar but the service needs some serious help in the customer service department . Taking ownership, apologizing and immediately resolving the problem is the best way to turn a bad experience around . I had high hopes for this place . I’m still grossed out by whatever I found in my thin waffle .

The worse omelette I have ever had in my life. I ordered a omelette with Cheese, Bacon, Chicken Breast, Spinach and Mushrooms. I got a hunk of eggs, cheese and spinach! Not a piece of meat no where in the omelette! I work in Royal Oak and had the food delivered and this has to be the worse food I have ever gotten from anywhere!! My advice, STICK TO THE CHICKEN AND WAFFLES. Omelettes are horrible! The grits are dry and taste like water,! No butter not even in the bag. Just a disgraceful experience. 😩

Ordered the Salmon Croquettes with potatoes and softly scrambled eggs. The Croquettes were ok but overcooked w/no sauce available. The eggs were overcooked a little bit asked for softly scrambled. However, the vibe was nice & cozy gave me a diner vibe with nice music and great artwork. No parking had to walk a little ways. My cousin ordered the chicken & waffles the chicken was good but the waffles was basic and no real flavor.

HORRIBLE!!!! Visiting from ATL and this was extremely terrible. First when I walked in, I waited at the podium patiently to be seated. The older lady who is a server, came up and stuck her ear out like she had an attitude and proceeded to sit me WITH AN ATTITUDE. Our server didn’t speak to me while I was waiting at the table for my friends and came by the table and dropped off silverware and walked off without speaking. She eventually came back and took our order but was helpful during the ordering process. Fast forward, we barely touched our food because it was a mixture of nasty and cold. We then asked for something to be taken off the bill and they only gave us $1-2 off for the inconvenience. GET IT TOGETHER! Definitely won’t be back.

Food is great, the greens and the Mac & cheese—almost make you feel like you’re at home and your Grandma just cooked Sunday dinner! The Kool-aid is on point and makes you remember your childhood—carefree and sweet! The chicken is bomb, and everything else coming out the kitchen looked great as we waited for our food! Service was excellent, HONEY is awesome! Really makes you feel at home—we will be back when we visit the D again! Come check this place out!! Support black-owned businesses!!!

Everything was outstanding. The atmosphere, our server Autumn, was excellent, and the food was beyond good. I highly recommend their egg rolls. Outdoor seating is available. Full bar with great cocktail.

We went at a perfect time 2 pm, no wait. The food and service were good. The atmosphere was really nice. One complaint I wish there were more lunch options on the menu. Overall, everything was good.

The best thing in the Midwest. Could beat out Waffle House Easily with the Right Branding and messaging. Great experience and the “Tender Love” is my favorite dish. Will try the Southern entrees next.

Alright, look, not a place for a quick bite. It's not fast food...buuut it's worth the wait. Best chicken I've ever had from a restaurant. Waffles are amazing, and the salmon patties are really good, too. Staff is amazing!

I ordered thru DoorDash, which I feel my experience would have been better if I dined in. However the food was hot and fresh when it arrived. I ordered the Big Red waffle and tenders, Wings with Kuzzo’s Sauce and 1 order of Salmon Croquettes

I was greeted immediately upon entering. There was a DJ in place when I arrived. The music was too loud. It felt like I was yelling to have a conversation with my friend. The server explained that the music volume was because of the restaurant size and the size of the DJ's speakers. It was a challenge to have a conversation. The service was good and the food was delicious! Our server, Amanda, provided service with a smile. Overall, it was a good experience and I will return but maybe not on Saturday afternoon.

First time visiting but I will come back. I had chicken and waffles and loved it. I'm not a fan of the combination but decided to try and was very pleased. The restaurant has the signature of the city. True Detroit pride! I loved how they display a few reasons that make our city great.

Listen…. Yall…. I cook and rarely eat out. I stopped here (reluctantly) because of what I’ve head by word of mouth. I’m sooooo glad I did! OMG… Listen… GOOOOOOD FOOD! Well seasoned! Excellent and friendly staff! I was greeted by every employee I saw. Listen…. I didn’t get a before pic but come by!! This place is GREAT!

Food was good. Definitely glad I checked it out. My the chicken on my sandwich was over cooked and dry. Mac & cheese, Koolaid and the red velvet waffle were on point. Server was good but not the best. Could have been she was the only one waiting tables but I am not sure.
