When I tell you these tacos are the best I've had...I mean it. The service was friendly and the food was beyond fresh tasting and the tacos were stuffed full of steak. I WILL be making another 30 min drive to that taco stand!!

I went to this truck during a mild hangover. And honestly, this place was a little underwhelming for me. I ordered 3 quesadillas; 2 steak 1 chicken. For the steak quesadilla, the meat was cut up too fine for me. It wasn't to the point of ground beef, but I was hoping for more like thin strips. There was also too much cilantro and onions on them. There was so much that I am surprised that it all didn't fall in my lap when I was eating them. A small portion of the meat was gristle as well. They did give you grilled onions with them though, which I thought was nice. With that said, the steak could have used a little seasoning as well. Now as for the chicken quesadilla, A+! The chicken quality, the texture and the size was perfect. Another thing that I liked was the orange sauce. It added so much flavor to these considerably bland quesedillas. Now I will say that these quesadillas weren't small. They certainly filled you up. But I wouldn't say that they were a steal for what you pay for. It was $12, which is pretty standard if you ask me. Overall, this place was okay. The chicken quesadilla was very good, while the steak quesadillas just filled the void.

I absolutely loved it. The food was tasty and filling. I had chicken quesadillas and my partner had steak quesadillas. They were so fresh. Loved the green sauce. We also shared a hibiscus tea which was tangy and refreshing. And the setting was rustic yet amazing! I'd love to return!

I have been coming here for almost 10 years now. They are consistently on point every time. This is a family owned business, and they are a very friendly family that makes you feel welcome every time. The food is phenomenal. If you haven't tried this, you are truly missing out on a Detroit gem.

I've been searching for the best steak burrito in Detroit. I think I may have just found it with this one right here. Everything I wanted in a burrito. $10 out the door. Excellent!!!

Very authentic Spanish cuisine! Their corn tacos (beef with everything on them) and chicken burritos (of course everything on them) are DELICIOUS! My wife and I go very frequently and since our first day trying them, never a failed visit in any form! As long as Tacos el Cabello is in Detroit this Scott family will always be loyal customers! We love y'all family vibe at your location as well! Keep it up guys!

Great tacos from here. A permanent food truck in Springwells, this taco joint was a great last minute stop for my girlfriend and I. The chicken tacos had amazing flavour. Perfect location for this place.

Overall this is an outstanding taco truck. Specifically the Chicken Quesadillas are exquisite!! I don't know what the seasoning is, but it is a must try for anyone who goes there. Lastly, they have call ahead service plus a drive through window!!! P.S. go to the fruit trailer behind El Caballo taco truck.

Outstanding food truck tacos, many types of meat with a choice of corn or flour tortillas. Our favorite were the asada followed by the carnitas. The burrito was worth the visit alone but all the tacos were great. Make sure you get the creamy green sauce, grilled onions, and pickled onions on there for spice and crunch.

My visit to Tacos el Caballo was awesome! Their burritos were really, really good – so tasty and filling. The service was quick and the people were super friendly. I'm definitely planning on going back for more of those yummy burritos!

This is a must do if you want street tacos in the D without being worried about getting robbed. Staff is awesome, food is way more than you could really eat. I got four tacos and a burrito. Made it through the four tacos and had to stop with the burrito-just too much. Can’t say enough about the price and quality of food. Neighborhood is pretty good too, plenty of parking on street and in their little lot. You can eat here as well weather depending.

I've ate at every taco truck in southwest and this place is by far the best, and that's saying alot. Not sure why because it's the same type of tacos but they do something different because there tacos are just better.

I love the asada burrito. Their green sauce is really good on it. I think I might stop by there today after work. 😋

Delicious! The portions are a real good size regardless of what you get and they taste great. The burrito is huge and you get the most bang for your buck when ordering it. The sauces are also all really good, and if you can handle the spice, try the red sauce. The staff in the truck are real nice and get you your food within minutes of ordering.

Great torta! It was massive and delicious. The tostada was just alright, I'd stick with the tacos or torta!

I stop here any single day of the week, the food is on point. One of my favorite stops during my lunch break, food is always served within a good time range. Always tastes phenomenal. Never disappointed.

I absolutely LOVEEEEEE this place, I could never eat tacos and enjoy them ANYWHERE else but here lol. My family will travel to come to southwest justfor their tacos and they never fail to give good service.

Easily a top contender if not the best Mexican street food in Detroit. Tacos, tostadas, and horchata are fantastic. Ask for consume and the cart that’s usually set up just behind the truck has great fruit and desserts. Quick service, accepts most forms of payment, and always friendly. A real gem.

Seriously the BEST tacos we’ve had in the entire Detroit metro area! They’re delicious and they have the *proper* amount of cheese and moisture! I can’t get over how hard good tacos are to find (maybe I’m spoiled coming from California) but this place is fantastic and will give any other quality taco shop a run for their money!

Easily the best tacos I've had in my life. Not super pricy, good portions, delicious. The tacos were so good I forgot to take any photos before eating them. My only regret is not getting more. If I ever come back to Detroit I'll have it again!
