Really kind and welcoming service! Food quality is good. Food portion sizes are moderate to smaller. Price is what you should expect: higher than diner, but lower than fancy restaurant. Scones have too much frosting on them... However great quality as far as scones go. Loved my omelette. Sweet potato fries are great as well! Warm atmosphere with tight space- gets a bit busy. So come in at a good time!

This is a good place if you want to have breakfast on a weekend with your friends and family. The ambience is moderate to good. But the one thing is really liked about the place was the quality of the food and service. We had a chicken sandwich and a Veggie Omelette which was great to taste! The service was prompt and good. Not too expensive either. Overall, a perfect place for breakfast on the weekends!

Carry out orders are ALWAYS undersized and are ALWAYS missing something. It almost seems like it’s done purposefully to save money since you’ll be long gone by the time you actually see your food. Used to be our go to breakfast spot, but I think I’m done after the latest order where the burrito was roughly half the size it used to be (this was was like 4 inches) and came without the requested pico and sour cream, again. Previously had issues with chicken sandwiches where they had to be remade because they were pounded 1/4 in thick or less. Can’t justify spending my money here anymore.

Been coming here for a few months and it's definitely one of my favorite diners. The menu is diverse, food is phenomenal and the service has never been less than outstanding. If you're looking for breakfast, the breakfast burrito here is on another level!

First time here, and I wish I lived closer so I could go regularly! Our server, Cate, introduced herself as a co-owner and gave us some info about the cafe since we hadn't been before (the kitchen cooks from scratch where possible and uses locally sourced ingredients whenever they can). Cate was friendly, enthusiastic, and warm, and obviously cared a great deal about the business and providing great service. She gave us a complimentary monkey bread for our first visit, which was SO delicious - freshly baked, pillowy soft in the middle and with a lovely cinnamon sugary crunch to the outside, with a drizzle of sweet cream cheese icing. I ordered the honey & apple grilled cheese and a cup of the creamy tomato tortellini soup of the day. The soup was delightful, with the sweetness of the tomatoes and the little savory cheese tortellini. It definitely tasted fresh and homemade. The sandwich was buttery sourdough bread, grilled to a wonderful crunch, with melty cheese, crisp apples, fresh bacon, and a honey drizzle that pulled everything together nicely. I got sweet potato fries with the sandwich, which tasted fresh and were fried to a perfect crisp. My friend got a banana walnut pancake, sausage links, and home fries, all of which looked wonderful. I can't wait to be in the area again to try more of their homemade marvels!

My husband and I love coming here every weekend before we go grocery shopping! It’s our usual breakfast spot because the service is AMAZING and the food is so comforting. We love the servers, especially Sara, Renee, Leah, and Orlando…they’re the absolute best to talk with!!!! Food never disappoints and it can be crowded but that’s because everyone loves to come by for good food and even better vibes! Signed: The Harris on Sundays

I was photographing a marriage proposal at a Catholic Church right around the corner from this place and needed a place to come for a quick lunch, coffee, and WiFi. Family Table Cafe really came through as a top notch family diner, a perfect place for brunch. Their menu is stacked with variety, one side breakfast, the other lunch. Coffee is brewed well and refills are free as expected. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken wrap and upgraded to the sweet potato fries. Usually, with a meal like this, I would be chugging glasses of water because of the saltiness, but Family Table did it right! The sweet potato fries had a delightful crisp and sweetness paired with the perfect amount of salt. The buffalo chicken wrap had a nice buffalo kick in every bite, which was nicely curbed by the fresh crunchiness of the lettuce, carrot, and cucumber. In summary, if you happen to be around Downtown Auburn Hills, the Family Table Cafe would make for a brunch date, quick bite, yummy food, and very reasonable prices

We were seated quickly and our server was very attentive and kind. I ordered the bagel and lox and it was great, plenty of toppings and decent quality ingredients. My girlfriend ordered the waffles and they looked very crispy and nice. The coffee was above average, but nothing truly special.

Nice little diner when you don't feel like one of the hundreds of chains. Parking and location was great. Outside patio dining available. Opted for 3 eggs and toast to get a feel and they executed great. No marmalade for all of you who choose to jam on it. Over easy and not gummy. Friends liked their sandwiches and fries. Nice change of pace

Great food and staff. Hopping place on a Sunday @8:30am. Snagged the last indoor table by the door. Immediately greeted and seated and asked if we wanted a beverage. Despite the activity, our server did a great job of attending to us. Food was excellent and fresh tasting. Pricing was as expected or maybe even a tad cheaper for the area. Lots of guests came in the door, but nobody waited more than 5-10 minutes before they were seated. As other reviews have mentioned, this place knows what it is doing. I would definitely recommend it!

Awesome experience! Wonderful service (Leah was so friendly and attentive to us). My Breakfast Quesidilla was really good. My wife said the same about hers and my son really enjoyed his Southwestern Omelet. Highly recommend 🙂

Came here for the first time and had high hopes due to hearing such great reviews of Family Table. It’s a very inviting and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and I would probably come back to try the lunch menu and other items. The food was just alright in my opinion. The Parmesan grits I had heard great things about so I wanted to try them. The grits themselves were bland and lacking seasoning. If it wasn’t for the Parmesan tuile, I’d say they would be a total miss. However, when eaten together, it wasn’t half bad. The breakfast quesadilla was not bad. It was what was expected. I think I really need to dive into the menu more in order to get a better review. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get breakfast/lunch. My only wish is that they were open later for dinner.

Just had take out breakfast and WOW. Lots of really good food. Omelet was fantastic and pancakes were as good

  • 1/5 Tuesday M. 4 years ago on Google
Had waffle, scrambled eggs and bacon. Everything was tasteless. Poorly scrambled eggs. Cheap bacon, the waffle tasted as if no seasoning of any kind had been put in it. The one star was for the ok cup of coffee. Server was nice. Tables were nicely done but floor looked like it had not been cleaned this winter season.

This is one of our favorite spots. It's clean, fairly quick service, and delicious. I honestly haven't been disappointed in a single dish. Also, ask about their monkey bread. It's pretty phenomenal. Soo much so that they run out sometimes.

I dine in this place often! This is my favorite spot to have a bite. I visit this place regularly. The meals are great, the staff is helpful and the charge is decent. I like being in this restaurant for a tasty dinner.

The food was fine, service was friendly but definitely not a place to go if you're in a big hurry.

  • 3/5 Kayli B. 2 years ago on Google
Let's start with the positive things first. The restaurant is so cute, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, the coffee was delicious, and the presentation of the food was fantastic. Unfortunately as soon as I took a bite of my eggs benedict I was disappointed. It was the most bland meal I have had in a long time. I attempted to add just a bit of salt to help it... and then all I tasted was salt. I was very disappointed.

  • 5/5 K R. 2 years ago on Google
They seem fully staffed, and to be that way in this season they must be doing something right. The waiter was very polite and all the food was great. Prices are reasonable.

I can understand being busy. But if you quote me 30 min for carryout and it ends up taking an hour thats not cool. Especially since I had somewhere to be. Then I get my food and my portions of potatoes were so small. It was sad. I attached a picture just to show becuase when I called they tried to say well it's supposed to be a small side. I'm like no you gave me about 10 pieces and I order this all the time when I come and it's never this little amount. And just after having to wait an hour. And then I see my carryout is ready I had already paid and i had to go be like hey can I have my carryout that's been ready and sitting there for almost 5 minutes as I was standing waiting.

  • 5/5 Aaron S. 1 year ago on Google
Went there on a Thursday morning...so not too busy. Which made the atmosphere great. Nice small family owned restaurant. Our server was very attentive and polite. Food was great. Only reason I did not give 5 stars on the food was due to lack of seasoning in the sausage gravy. Everything thing else tasted great, which emphasized the lack of seasoning in the gravy. Not going to stop us...going back there again and again.

We absolutely love the Family Table Cafe and it will be a part of our visit from here on out as we come to Michigan to visit family. Cate & Brandon (the owners) are the most caring people we’ve met. They support the local community. You’ve got to have a cup of coffee there (the best tasting!) as it supports the local high school business program. Lots of great flavors on their menu. We went for breakfast and had a hard time deciding. I went with the breakfast burrito simply to try the homemade chorizo. It did not disappoint, so much flavor and not greasy. Family members ate the giant blueberry pancake (I was bummed my tummy had limited space), and the southwestern omelet (that came with the most amazing Parmesan grits). Service was amazing, you literally felt like you were visiting friends. No hurries, no worries. Can’t wait to visit family in Michigan again so we can have breakfast here.

This was a super cute family resturant that has absolutely amazng food. This was our first time there and our server Isabella O. gave us great suggestions for food. We ordered the Pesto sandwich, a with a side of tator tots, a Cali Benedict, and a side of sausage gravy and biscuits. We cant wait to go back and try more!

Had a bit of an awkward first experience here yesterday. We walked in for takeout because our friends had just ordered some & recommended it to us. The restaurant was mostly empty, yet we stood next to the “please wait to be seated” sign for a few minutes. I grabbed a menu to start browsing over & we ended up scooching forward & standing at the “breakfast bar” so we were out of the way of the front door. All of the restaurant staff made eye contact with us but did not greet us or say anything at all to us. After 5-8 minutes of standing there, wanting to put in an order, a staff member rolling silverware told us about the cash register hidden in the back of the dining area where you’re supposed to order from. We ordered our food, sat at the bar & it didn’t take long for it to finish. The food itself was pretty good but my husband wasn’t given any sour cream or salsa for the quesadilla he ordered. Not a bad place, we just would’ve liked to have been greeted properly.

This place is the greatest for breakfast! The staff is super friendly, high energy, great vibe. The breakfast food is extremely fresh and nicely prepared, like homemade. The cleanliness and upkeep shows a lot of pride. We can't wait to try lunch!!

Went to eat at this place as it was close to Mi-combat. I ordered a burger and fries as I did not want to get too full and thankfully it was not huge. The burger was excellent and the fries were good as well. The waitress and the rest of the staff was attentive and quick for refills. I would go back there again. Thanks again.

Love this family owned restaurant! I usually get a few orders of their fresh cut potato chips to go! Their food is real deal fresh. Try the scratch made scones with dark roast coffee. Monkey bread is so good but you have to get there early!

  • 3/5 Gregory W. 9 months ago on Google
Complimentary Monkey Bread was nice, but overly sweet, and free refills on orange juice was unexpected. Mix of locals and tourists was good, but staff paid a bit more attention to regulars imho. Took a coupla tries to get beverages in timely manner and no water. Hollandaise sauce on Benedict was overly seasoned with paprika which put color to orange and unbalanced flavor. Eggs poached hard, ordered soft. Hash browns way over done. Description as "bakery" is a bit exaggerated. There's one small display of a few baked goods. Overall, mostly average at best.

A piece of small town dining. Family table is nothing more than a quaint diner and it pretends to be nothing more. It's firmly found it's place and is happy to be there and so are it's customers. The place is packed for breakfast, especially Saturday (closed Sunday) but the turn over is fairly quick. It's the usual selection of breakfast and lunch entries with healthy portions and reasonable prices. If you like sweets be sure to try the monkey bread. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Parking out front is limited but there's plenty in the rear. Frankly in that downtown area its probably the best breakfast you'll find, granted at the time of this writing options are limited but as the area grows im sure Family Table will hold it's own.

Absolutely Fantastic. I met here with several others of my brothers in Christ for a breakfast and discussion. Iron sharpens Iron and that's what we were there to do. The food was great. The service was even greater. Everyone is smiling and happy and it shows in everything. The coffee overfloweth my cup, and dark roast at that! The owner came by and prayed with us and gave us a free monkey bread. No, I was not bribed with monkey bread for this review. Honestly, this place is great. We will be back on the first of the month every month, and my wife and myself will be here on some Saturdays too.

My friend and I heard good things about this place so decided to try it for brunch. It did not disappoint. Justin, our waiter, was friendly and took his time to explained the menu . I had the veggie bowl. The vegetables were fresh and cooked nicely. My friend had the Avocado Eggs Benedict. She really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic hole-in-the-wall cafe. Couldn’t recommend enough. I got helpful recommendations from the wait staff when I mentioned it was my first time in. After ordering, it only took a few minutes for the food to arrive. The food was delicious and priced really well. I’m making this review half for you, and half as a reminder for me for the next time I’m in the area.

Best chorizo omelet and chocolate chip pancake I've ever had.

  • 1/5 Ganai B. 3 years ago on Google
The First time ordering and will be the last time. My spinach mushrooms feta omelet with egg whites was cold, rubbery, and missing the feta cheese. The biscuits, and the waffle were also cold and soggy. The second order pancakes and eggs required re-heating. I tracked the order and my delivery person waited for the order to be prepared and came straight here only about a 4 mile trip straight down Auburn. The delivery was timely, so my food should have had a little warmth to it. I rely heavily on grocery and restaurant deliveries so I can avoid going out unless it's absolutely necessary, because of my medical issues. I'll happily take my business elsewhere I just can't justify supporting a business that doesn't support me.

This is the best restaurant in the Auburn Hills area. The food always tastes very fresh and delicious but with diner prices. All of the employees are beyond friendly. They are also accommodating to substitutions and requests for my child. The name is fitting for the family atmosphere they provide.

This is a fantastic spot for breakfast in downtown Rochester. They have outdoor seating as well, and their service is very quick. Their food is very good as well, 8/10 on a bad day, 10/10 for breakfast alone. I meet with a friend here once a month just for breakfast outside.

  • 5/5 Catherine B. 3 years ago on Google
I absolutely adore this place! Not only is the food excellent, but the staff has a light about them that can't go unseen. Their menu is diverse, the building itself is always clean, and their ticket times are quick and efficient. I especially love their breakfast quesadilla and the chicken caesar wrap! If you are to support any small business, let this be the one!

Hands down the very best place to eat in Auburn Hills and probably all of Michigan...Maybe the United States. The service is more than great, and the food is beyond 5 stars. I wish there were more stars to give this place because they honestly deserve them. I'm vegetarian and have ordered and eaten multiple dishes from thier menu. I've now been coming here for over a year, and have never been disappointed. If Gordon Ramsay came to Michigan I would recommend he come eat here because I honestly don't think he would have one bad thing to say about this place. This restaurant makes me proud to live where I do. Thank you family table cafe for always giving me and many others exactly what they need. I place they know they can trust, no matter what they order. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐♾

Haven't been here since the new ownership took over a while ago and now I know why I haven't. Took 40 mins to get breakfast for a two top. Server never checked on us. Food has bland and greasy. Toast was drenched in whirl. Omelet's are over cooked, biscuits dried out and premade gravy is just horrid.
