I spend a lot of money at this Kroger weekly and the prices just don’t stop getting higher. Yea, inflation is a thing. But, Kroger top execs made record profits this year. Before taxes, The ceo makes in a day what 2 employees make in a year. I always hear chatter from employees on how things aren’t fair and it really bothered me when the cashier who has worked there for what seems forever told me they didn’t get a raise this year. Kudos to all the staff at the store who create a great environment. Shame on the top execs who continue to profit during “inflation”.

Just like most of the world’s grocery stores, Kroger has been selling rotten, molded, and spoiled food. It’s sad because that should be the last thing that people should have to worry about as inflation is at an all time high. People, if you buy something from the grocery store and it’s molded and appears old— RETURN IT. It doesn’t matter if it was 5 cents, return it. I bought some beautiful oranges from Kroger the other day, peeled one yesterday and there was mold all over. Returned it. I just bought watermelon yesterday, it says on the top to buy it before August 6th. Today is August 6th, why did the watermelon smell like rotten cheese??? I’m curious to know. This is sad. These grocery stores are robbing us blind.

VERY RUDE STAFF i would do negative stars if i could. I took back bottles 5/11/22 at 1 p.m and went to take my bottle return slips to the self check out closest to the return center (Apparently that is not allowed anymore) i scanned my slips and put them into the self scan spot for coupons and nothing happened after so i call over the attendant to ask what happened not knowing you couldn't put them in that way anymore and she starts with well if nothing was happening then why did you keep putting them in? Well sorry ma'am maybe I've had a long week of work with no sleep and a very sick new born at home sorry i wasn't paying very much attention. I don't think that is much of a reason to be rude and snippy. I will never be spending my money in this place ever again!

I went shopping at the Southgate Kroger store after work 1*9*23. All the U scan lines were to the back of the store. I scanned my items at Uscan #21. The Uscan began blinking with a message saying an attendant is in the way(i never requested). I looked over and waved at the Uscan clerk names Alex to come assist us. Alex looked at us & took 3 other people that were after is before he came to help us. Once he came over.. Alex says "this machine has been having problems all weekend"! I said my order disappeared while waiting for you to come over.. i never requested help. He became very Belligerent with us which was very rude and DISRESPECTFUL! WE took our groceries over to the service desk to ask for help from a manager. A guy wearing glasses behind the counter wearing a cashier name tag stated he was the MGR. We explained what happened..he said he couldn't do anything but ring up our ENTIRE ORDER ALL OVER AGAIN. Never apologized for the rude & curd behavior from Alex at all. I explained that this will be my final time at any Kroger store & I'll be sure to let the media and my 43K social media followers know..This is not a store I will advise anyone to go to ever!

Nice new store they have everything food, clothing, meds, wider shopping lanes than any other Kroger I've been too

First time going here I really like it. Perfect time to go is at 6am in the morning 🙂 We have Super Kroger RIP to Super Kmart♥️

Coolest Kroger ever. Clean, Well stocked, well lit, helpful employees and fuel points. Also digital coupons help cut the bill.

I love this store the customer service lady is great and always very helpful, and friendly and the store and restrooms are always clean. The only thing they need to do is rotate there stock better ,have found some outdated products..and THEY NEED TO GET MORE AMIGOS ANd KEPT THEM CHARGED.. EVERY TIME WE COME HERE MY HUSBAND HAS TO GO HUNT ONE DOWN OUTSIDE FOR ME.

Large store with large selection. Very clean, and organized. LARGE cheese and seafood selections. Meijers across the street does not have this. Also, the deli/bakery is bigger then the Meijers across the street.

Favorite grocery store to shop, always clean, always someone around to help. Produce top notch (100X better than what Meijer puts out), deli awesome, kroger brand salami best around. Dear Kroger Management, GET SOME NEW FREAKING SHOPPING CARTS, half the carts don't even roll.

I really want to thank the 2 men in the meat department tonight. One was the man working in the meat and the other was the man working in the seafood. I work long days and rarely get to eat good dinners but tonight i was able to and i only wanted a dish i love with chicken and rice but i did not want to buy alot of chicken so it would not be wasted. My husband and i went to the meat counter as they were closing up. I took my chances and asked if it was to late to get a few pieces of chicken. The men made sure i got it. I was very grateful for their kindness and for going out of their way for me. I know they wanted to clean up and go home after a long day but they stopped and did it for me and i appreciate them very much 🙂

Today while scanning at U scan we used number 21 there was a problem we continued asking for assistance and Alex was rude and started arguing and cussing at us when he knew there was a problem with the machine why not close it instead of telling your customer off then we went to ask for a manager who was wearing a cashier tag he insisted he was manager and was just as rude as Alex again assisting us with attitude rudeness slamming g our bags and saying he can't to nothing about that employee store was full lanes in u scan had lines to the back both sides store workers are rude and don't assist or know anything we were very disappointed and disrespected by these employees I feel the media needs to know that workers are there to do a job not disrespect and belittle customers as nice and convenient this store is to me I will never use again and voice how disgusting the employees are at this location do better Kroger we are your consumers

Kroger was given extensive money from the government that enabled record profits even during the Covid-19 shutdown. Not one to take care of the customers, Kroger has dramatically risen all of their prices this year.

This would be a great store if they didn't have them AT&T people there all the time ( which are sub contractors for at&t) They are nothing but scamming people with the so called deals they supposedly have. They are not deals. It took me forever to get my bill down from $300 back to $95. I should have never left Metro.

Very rude!! We went to pick up groceries today and the girl that brought them out seemed like she hated her life. She didn’t give us our receipt, didn’t ask if we had coupons or ask if the substitutions were ok. She handed the bags to my husband very rudely!! Then I tried to view the digital receipt but kept getting an error. So I called and the guy that answered the phone was also rude, asking if we left it in the trunk. We have a van. No trunk! Just wanted to know if maybe the error is going to be fixed on the app. Maybe the sit is having issues. I’m missing things and would like to know WHAT I PAID FOR!! Asked for a manager and he said they were both outside. Then Click!! Hung up on me.

I love this Kroger! I have to admit-- the best part is pushing your cart through a smooth parking lot! They never have long lines & if they do... They always open more registers! My favorite part of the store is the floral area. I love that I can buy babies breath sperate and the selection is always beautiful, fresh, and flat out perfect!

I was scheduled to pick up a grocery order between 8-9. I checked in a few minutes before 9. After waiting 20 minutes, I had to call Kroger customer service. Turns out the whole delivery stuff left a few minutes after 9. Absolutely ridiculous that I showed up on-time for a scheduled time and the staff just went home. Why give people an option to come at 9 if you are going to ignore them for not coming earlier? And this is after multiple orders where the staff gave terrible products. For example, I once got a very old package of bacon that was open and missing pieces. The whole department needs new managers and workers.

Shelley is an awesome cashier, I look forward to seeing her anytime I go in there! She’s fast, friendly, welcoming, and the best at bagging the items. I’ll avoid the self check out lane just to see if she’s working :) I love talking with her and she’s so helpful if she see’s me struggling with my cranky toddler, she’ll try to cheer him up. She’s the sweetest!

Always clean, not stinky, friendly staff and fully stocked. I drive an additional 10 minutes because this store is literally a world of a difference compared to the store on Dix in Lincoln Park. It's amazing how Kroger would let the Lincoln Park location be in the condition it's in, then have this store.

It was nice to see other things besides food. They have some nice clothing. The only thing i didnt like were the higher prices compared to a regular kroger store. Walmart market places have similar prices to their superstores and cheaper than here.

The lines in this place are outrageous on Saturday mornings. Super long lines but they do not have all their self-check out aisles open. They should open the 6-8 on the right side in the mornings instead of the 4 on the left side because it takes way too long to check out.

Boycotting Kroger. Sunday morning 8:30 am and there are TWELVE customers waiting to check out in just ONE line that is open. Line slowly moving. With all their new profit levels you think they could open more registers. Classic bad management and corporate greed.

This place is huuugeee! They have great sushi there also! Always FRESH and plentiful!! Also boar's head deli sold there as well 😊..I love that I can save money and time with this one stop shop! They have everything!! 😍

I wanted to write this review to say that Sara in guest services and Danny that was in the produce sectionhelped me and did a wonderful job today with my situation. Thank you Saranyou are a great and very personable person. Thanks again Danny, you helped my wife and me get what we were looking for when the shelves were cleared out. Thank you so much to both of you guys you make this Marketplace Kroger a supermarket we love to shop at even more now.😊

Store was clean and employees were great. However, supervisor Michelle was profusely yelling at employees who were doing their best and working hard. Very unbecoming

Linda in the Deli Department is awesome! We had a party for 50 people scheduled and the company we purchased subs from messed up and did not make them. So 3 hours before the party started, I happened to be in Kroger and Linda came to our rescue! Within an hour she made 7 - 1' subs for us. We will definitely go to them next time!
