I
FINALLY
DID
IT!
I've
been
meaning
to
check
this
spot
out
for
the
longest
but
getting
downtown
during
the
week
can
be
tough.
Nobody
I
know
seems
to
have
an
affinity
for
trying
cultural
foods,
so
I
soloed
it
today
and
I'm
so
glad
I
did.
The
owner
Ty,
was
the
kindest
and
very
warm.
I
peppered
him
with
questions
about
the
seasonings
and
he
explained
that
he
can't
get
what
he
needs
locally.
Luckily
his
Mom
still
resides
in
Nigeria
and
ships
most
of
the
seasonings
necessary
to
make
this
masterful
creation
stateside.
The
fufu
is
as
I
imagined,
tastes
somewhat
like
mashed
potatoes
(to
Americans
that
the
closest
descriptor
I
can
think
of😂).
Though
he
offered
a
fork,
I
know
eating
with
your
hands
is
culturally
the
way
to
enjoy.
So
I
dug
in
with
both
hands.
I
had
the
egusi
stew
with
fufu
(goat
meat)
and
there
are
other
options,
I
ended
up
having
quite
a
portion
to
take
home
and
I'm
not
sorry
about
it.
This
is
beyond
incredible,
the
flavor
profiles
are
something
I've
never
experienced.
I
can
taste
the
curry
and
African
spices
after
Ty
described
them.
What
a
place,
what
an
owner!
Don't
WALK,
RUUNNNNNN
and
if
you
want
someone
to
join
you
let
me
know😂😂
Tatse
&
Alobosa
Bar
is
also
on
Doordash
