Butter garlic prawns must try and the vibe of the place is amazing

Excellent food with humble service with great sunrise view in mahabalipuram, this place is open till 2 am on week days and 4 am during weekends.. Great sea food with the breeze from the bay of bengal is worth spending your late nights and compromising much needed sleep. Meet Franklin who has the great attitude towards providing awesome service and their food is the best in mahabalipuram.. Love food! live long healthy!!

Had visited Mahabalipuram on 17th Feb with my wife. Found this place in the Fisherman colony on the Mahabalipuram beach for lunch. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor (without elevator) of this hotel. They have rooms on the below floors. There were no much options in sea food. There was just red/white snapper fish in different sizes, prawns, squids and crabs. We decided to go for a medium size red snapper fish in tawa masala prepration (costed us INR 700/-). We also opted for prawns in chettinad preparation (costed us INR. 300/-).the red snapper fish was fresh and pretty good in taste. Although we would have preferred french fries along with the fish, but they said it out of stock. Also lemon wedges were missing and got the same reply as out of stock. The prawns preparation was ok and we had with chapati. There was not much option of beer. There was only the British empire local beer available only in tamilnadu. It costed us INR. 400 (MRP mentioned on the beer bottle was INR. 160/-). Would have preferred other beer options like Carlsberg, Budweiser, Tubourg or Corona. Service is little slow and is ok if you have time at your disposal. Apart from food, the view was awesome. You have a 180 sea view from the side tables. Although it just had a few tables in this restaurant floor. Would recommend people to try other options in the area like Bambino, Kalo or moonrakers considering the variety of fishes they may provide and the liquor options.

We ordered Tawa fish & some other dishes too, I feel it’s too pricey and not worth it, I had tawa fish and very next day I got severe stomach ache & I have been in stomach pain for more than 6 hours, we spend 1300 something for Tawa fish alone which is really not worth it. They don’t have proper menu, ambiance, view Is good. Service also I can understand it took some time to prepare food but I really very disappointed about cost of Tawa fish.

Before coming we called the restaurant to ask at what time they will be open and they said at 2 PM and they gave also the adresse but once arrived they said it was closed till 4 PM. Very bad organisation. We came from far just to eat at this restaurant. I do not recommande this restaurant.

Highly disappointed.. Except ambience nothing is there.. If u ask them anything they will say no.. Also i ordered lobster.. They overcooked and gave it and they charged 1000 for that.. Waste of money..

Fantastic experience with the food, we ordered Indian fish curry and squid fry. Indian fish curry added with mango was amazing and it was really worth to pay 400Rs for Rice and curry. Squid was okay okay. You must try this Indian fish curry here

Starters had a little bit of masala but tasty, service was slow, ambiance was nice but a little hot as there wasn’t enough fans.
