What else to Say about Nandi hills, many writers ,poets and Nature enthusiasts have already written about it. Must visit place when you come to Bangalore. Foggy, dreamy and Magical place โœจ๐Ÿ”ฎ Not advisable to visit at summer. Food and water facility is available at the ticket collecting center as well as at the top of the hills. Parking can be bit tricky ever since covid protocols have come to existence.

Too much crowded. We started our journey at 4:00 AM & still got stuck in a never-ending jam. Almost waited for 1.45 hours before reaching the parking ticket spot. Always go via 2 wheeler & more early morning.

This is one of the big hills in Bangalore with 1700 feet high and towards north side of Bangalore. It's greenery and biodiversity is well balanced and maintained. The road from Bangalore airport is good, but you will have to wait to enter due to shortage of parking space. The early morning sunrise view is the best to witness. Lots of birds and snakes to watch out for. You can spend half a day here at ease. For courts are there with some good options as well.

Nandi Hills is a hidden paradise! This place is pure bliss with its stunning hillscapes and intriguing historic caves. The journey to the top is like a scenic adventure, unfolding layers of natural beauty that leave you in awe. The panoramic views from the summit are nothing short of magical, it's like nature's own masterpiece. The historic caves add a touch of mystery, making the visit more than just a sightseeing trip. It's a journey into the past, exploring stories etched in the rocks. What stole my heart is the serenity that blankets the entire hill. The gentle breeze, the rustling leaves, and the whispers of history create a peaceful haven. It's not just a hill, it's a sanctuary where you can escape the chaos and immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings. Whether you're a history buff or just someone seeking tranquility, Nandi Hills has it all. I absolutely loved every moment spent there โ€“ a perfect blend of nature and history that makes it a must visit destination. It's a place that stays with you, and I can't wait to go back!

Nandi Hills is a breathtaking hill station, surrounded by lush greenery and scenic landscapes. The drive up the winding roads is itself a beautiful experience, and once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The sunrise and sunset views from Nandi Hills are simply spectacular. Nandi Hills, located in Karnataka, India, is a popular tourist destination known for its natural beauty and historical significance. Nandi Hills is a fantastic destination for a day trip from Bangalore. The scenic beauty and pleasant weather make it an ideal getaway. Whether you're a nature lover, history enthusiast, or an adventure seeker, Nandi Hills has something to offer to everyone. Just remember to respect the environment, follow local rules, and keep the place clean to ensure that others can enjoy its beauty in the future. Nandi Hills is easily accessible from Bangalore, but the road leading to the hill can get crowded during weekends and holidays. It's advisable to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion and to get the best views. The facilities at Nandi Hills are decent, with a few eateries and small shops selling snacks and refreshments. There are also public restrooms available, but they may not always be well-maintained. It's recommended to carry some food and water with you, especially if you plan to spend an extended period there.

Awesome view and nice getaways with family especially with kids.. Lots and lots of hungry ๐Ÿ’, we saw one monkey crying with hunger.. Kids loved the view and they were so happy and were not ready to come back.. Cool breeze and nature at its best. No words to express beauty of nature. Now they are not allowing vehicles to the top, need to park down and climb steps to get up to the top.

A very nice place but you have to pick and choose the time to go because if you go at the wrong time you won't be able to enjoy this place. First of all avoiding the weekend would be a very wise decision. The crowd is way too much in the weekend, you just won't be able to enjoy the place in peace. Also in summers the daytime is just too hot and sucks your energy. Best time would be in monsoon followed by winters. Weekdays would be preferable as the crowd will be less. Morning is the best time to go, though I feel in monsoon you can go anytime. So overall if you pick a right time, this is a lovely place else it just feels like another place with lots of people. The road to reach there is absolutely beautiful and high quality. It hardly takes an hour or so to reach the hills. Ample parking is available. Also I guess there is a route via treking to reach at the top which could be explored.

They opening the gate too late these days like after 6 am issuing parking ticket at checkpost it self that takes time even more like 1 hour total you'll reach my 7 or 7.30 am at view point. Doesn't matter you come early in the morning or just in the morning.. total disappointed by the service of local police and forest department or Karnataka tourism department.

One of the most famous getaway destination for the people around bangalore. The hill station attracts a lot of tourists on a daily basis and most of them are bikers. The best time to visit would be early morning 6am to witness the sunrise! It closes at 6pm. Do check the recent changes made for visitors before going.

If your lucky enough can see that cloud bed form. Otherwise normal fog only and careful with monkeys. It's better to go weekdays or working days only otherwise huge crowded and traffic will be there. I prefer better to go in bikes with friends. It will be a nice experience. I just visited here 3 times.

Monsoon season is the perfect time for a ride to Nandi Hills. Low clouds, clear visibility and cool breeze makes it a great outing. Initial part of the 65 km odd ride from Bengaluru is through heavy traffic and lights. However, as you cross Hebbal, the road opens up and traffic thins out. Vehicles are allowed to the Nandi Hill top from 6 am to 6 pm and charge of โ‚น50 each is collected at the foothills, near police check post. The road is narrow, and winding with almost 40 hairpin bends. The parking lot at the top is congested with four /two wheelers. Don't expect much from the couple of restaurants which are choked with tourists. Better to carry own drinking water and light snacks. Overall, most enjoyable bike ride and outing during excellent weather.

Time matters to visit this place... Recommended to go early morning. Have hotels on Hilltop. I went by 6am there.. It's really awesome. Roads are good. The ticket has a line approx. 20 members at that morning 6AM. For me, it was 70 rupees for 2 tickets, including bike parking. Very reasonable. There is also a bus facility ~30 per person, and can avail who can not walk to Hilltop.

Kuvempu had once told in his poem why crave for heaven when heaven is on earth. Poem is one thing you can feel mentally but this is the place which actually makes you feel it. It indeed is a heaven on earth. The dopamine rush you experience out here on an early morning is just incredible. The rest of your day will be a bliss if you start your day with seeing the sunrise at the sunrise point.

Best place for a weekend trip but i prefer to go on weekdays for less crowd. The road is nice and has a good parking space, I prefer to go by a 2 wheeler and not a car. Ticket charge is also affordable and the hotel is also good for snacks. You can spend a lot of time in that place to see the fog and walk through the garden.

Amazing place for Sunrise and Sunset lovers. We went there in early morning, we started at around 3 AM in the morning from Bangalore and reached foothill of Nandi Hills by 5 AM, By 6 AM gates opened and starting towards the hill top. There are two viewing points one which is having an bridge sort of structure which is more crowded and other is less crowded and natural as well. The distance between the two is around 100ms only. Toilet facilities are also available there.

Excellent location, visited around 8am, still foggy it was. Beautiful views and picturesque location. Enjoyed the drive and walking to top of the hill. Visited temples located on top of the hill on rock. Have few restaurants on top of the hill. Entre fee Rs.20 and car parking fee Rs. 60. Timings 6 am to 10 pm. Prefer to see sun rise and sun set. Mornings you can enjoy the fog particularly in winter season. Enjoy your visit.

It's beautiful but OVERHYPED... If you have been in mountains of Himalayas then don't go.. Far more than this you already have been seen.. Maintenance is also very low according to footfall.. all view points are not clean and serene... pond in temple is also dirty.. So many monkeys are there... be aware of them..

A nice place not very far from the maddening city crowd, pollution. I went over the weekend but I haven't experienced heavy crowd or traffic or waiting time. Went straight up the hill and took the tickets. Pleased to see the sunrise which was beautiful, the climate was great and there's a nandeeshwar temple on hill top. You can Trek or take your bike which is better and you can enjoy the day. There are a lot of spots to sit and breathe fresh air overlooking the sunrise or sunset. There are cottages on the hill top run by KSTDC and you can book them online. If you are looking for a short day trip it's a good spot.

One of the amazing places. Nandi Hills in Karnataka is like a calm hideaway that is not so far from Bangalore. The roads are twisty; be careful while driving.Parking space is good, and paid toilets are also available. The best time to visit is around 7 a.m. in the morning for a sunrise view. It was an amazing experience. The views were really peaceful and breathtaking. After reaching the top, don't just stand at the view point; try to cover the entire hilltop by taking a walk on the footpath. its really worth seeing the entire hilltop, not just the view point. Beware of Monkeys๐Ÿ˜†

I always avoided this place because locals kept saying it is overrated. It is not! It is just beautiful. I was lucky to have visited this on a weekday when the crowd was almost zero and weather was perfect. December rains are the best!

A must for nature lovers. Take a walk around the hill through the footpath. Lots places to reat and ease over the top. Please Note: 1. Beware of traffic on Sundays and holidays, the road upto the hill caan be really crowded. 2. Start early so that you can spend lot of time on the top and avoid a lot of traffic as well. 3. Plastic bottles are not allowed so carry fiber or metal bottles. 4.. there are hotels on the top, so carrying food is not a must.

Superb place for a single day trip. Plan well and reach early to avoid waiting time as limited traffic is allowed in the hill. We started by 2 pm from Bangalore and rsached 4 pm and enjoyed cool evening. You can watch sun set also. Always go in a car which can manage hill climbs.

You may face crowds on weekends even at early morning. The best view from hill is at early morning when the sun rises. Bus tour is also available there. Restrooms are available.

Good for visiting when in Bangalore, if you're planning to witness the sunrise then be ready to watch clouds, fog on roads and no visibility as you go uphill, you will witness really good serene view which are instaworthy and aesthetic. The place is crowded even on weekdays so come in 2 wheeler because the traffic here is really wild uphill, you will be struck in jam while people with 2 wheeler will complete their visit. No plastic bottles or any kind of plastics are allowed inside so bring water in your steel bottles. Trekking will be fun with groups, they have a garden area where you can relax after walking a lot. The top point has restaurants and temples. Parking is chargeable with minimal price, entry tickets are also pocket friendly. Enjoy your trip.

One of the best and Good place to visit in the winter and Early Morning. we Have to reach there before 6 am to watch the beautiful sunrise. Beautiful and scenic views, reasonably managed and maintained place, could be better. Digital payment mode either not available or may not work due to limited connectivity. Ample car parking available. Restrooms are not clean and not maintained. Limited options for food are also available. Never the less, a go to place if you want to enjoy driving in midst of greenery and love nature. Highly recommended! It's a spectacular view. There are good restaurants here for refreshments. Parking facilities are available. The gardens and the lake are beautiful spots for photography. Beware of monkeys and take care of your belongings. Listen to the weather reports before going here in winter as sometimes it gets too foggy and difficult to drive.

A must go place at the top of the hill you will feel so amazing. I went there with my friends in 2015. This was a bike ride on Sunday. You will find many bike riders on the way and many cafes. The road is amazing and after reaching at the top you will get to see clouds and many things. Just sit and enjoy the view. Buy the ticket outside and also there is a parking place outside and you will find restaurants around.

Wonderful hill station and a historic temple. Nandi Hills, or Nandidurg, is a hill fortress in the south Indian state of Karnataka. Tipu Sultan Fort, a summer retreat of the namesake 18th-century ruler, features stone carvings and wall paintings. Prisoners are said to have been thrown to their death from Tipuโ€™s Drop, now known for its panoramicย views. Local Hindu temples include the hilltop Yoga Nandeeshwara Temple, guarded by a huge statue of a bull (nandi)

The beauty of hills therapeutically affects personality, body, and soul. Such a large number of studies are done to comprehend the impact of hills beauty to the human cerebrum. Notwithstanding the beauty of a magnificent hill helps in bringing down circulatory strain, enhance response time, upgrade mindfulness, efficiency and furthermore enhances the general prosperity. In addition to the beauty of the mountains, there is also natural beauty. A scene that calms the eyes with peace of mind and serenity. The atmosphere of such a place is an atmosphere that brings coolness to the body along with the mind. Due to the height, such places are always cold, so such places are very comfortable in summer days. In India, the height of a hill station ranges from about 1000 meters to 2500 meters. Such places are very attractive and interesting to the people, because such places have the beauty of God.This time I had the opportunity to visit the hill station with my Brother . I was very excited and happy at that time. I had the opportunity to visit the famous Nandi Hills in Bangalore... The place is surrounded by mountains and natural beauty. It was my first visit to this beautiful spiritual and lovely place. Its clouds, mountains and lovely surroundings attracts tourist a lot.. If I got a chance, I would visit the place again for sure.. Feel in love with the Hills.. Just mesmerizing and charming. Do Have a visit everyone.

Awesome place to visit. However, it is over crowded on weekends. On Sunday 12-Jun at 5:30 am it was hard to negotiate vehicles. Police allow only to go up at 6 am from police check-post at foothill.

I visited this place on weekend. Place is beautiful. You need to park your vehicle and buy tickets to enter. However, if you want to see sunrise you need to leave in the middle of the night. Because place is too much crowded. We did reach to the location on time but, there was a ruckus and no space left for parking. I am not so happy with the management over there. Because, the one who went first, couldn't able to return because of too much rush. I would say traffic management is poor. After waiting for 2 hrs we finally parked our bike near parking on the road & went upto hill. Place is mesmerizing, foggy & beautiful. There are ancient temples around 1200 years ago. Adding few pictures!

Went on a weekday. Reached about 8.00 am. Less crowded at that time. We could able to see the fog that covered the entire area. More than that there is a lot more to see inside the Nandi hills as you can see in the map that I posted along with this review. Entry fee 20/-. Parking provided with a fee. Nice place to hangout with family, kids and friends. Public Toilets and restaurants are there.

The place is full of natural beauty as it is maintained by the Horti culture dept. Full of trees, plants and flowers which are half hidden in the misty clouds. Best place for a weekend trip but i prefer to go on weekdays for less crowd. The road is nice and has a good parking space, I prefer to go by a 2 wheeler and not a car. Ticket charge is also affordable. You can take a drive early in the morning to grasp the sunrise for an amazing view.

One of the best place to visit around bangalore. The view from the hill top is good and one can experience the close proximity to the clouds surrounded. The best time to visit is during sunrise and the next best time is sunset. The entry to the hill top is open from everyday 6am and ends at 6pm due to security concerns. The hilltop road is well maintained and is around 8Km. One can reach hill top easily, I saw people cycling to the hill top also.

The drive to the hills is really great! Itโ€™s more fun if youโ€™re driving or riding in groups. The curves along the way through the fog is a mesmerising drive.

Title: A Breathtaking Retreat: Exploring the Enchanting Nandi Hills, Karnataka Rating: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† Nestled amidst the captivating landscapes of Karnataka, Nandi Hills stands as an enchanting hill station that takes your breath away. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this serene destination, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. Nandi Hills is a perfect getaway for nature lovers, adventure enthusiasts, and anyone seeking tranquility away from the city's hustle and bustle. The first thing that struck me upon arriving at Nandi Hills was the awe-inspiring natural beauty that unfolded before my eyes. The hills were draped in lush greenery, and the gentle mist that embraced the surroundings added an ethereal touch. As I explored the region, I discovered numerous viewpoints offering panoramic vistas of the valleys below, with the distant horizon painting a vivid sunrise or sunset. Each viewpoint was a testament to nature's artistic prowess, leaving me in awe of its grandeur. The historical significance of Nandi Hills is another aspect that adds charm to this destination. The hill derives its name from the ancient Nandi Temple located at its summit, dedicated to Lord Shiva's sacred vehicle, the Nandi bull. The temple's architectural brilliance and spiritual ambiance make it a must-visit for devotees and history enthusiasts. The ancient fortresses and monuments scattered throughout the region further contribute to its historical appeal, providing a glimpse into the past. For adventure seekers, Nandi Hills offers a range of thrilling activities. Trekking enthusiasts can embark on exhilarating trails that lead to the hill's peak, providing a rewarding sense of accomplishment and stunning views along the way. Paragliding and cycling are also popular activities, allowing visitors to soak in the scenic beauty from a different perspective. Moreover, the cool climate and fresh air make outdoor activities even more enjoyable. To enhance the overall experience, the local administration has developed well-maintained pathways, gardens, and seating areas for visitors. These additions make it easier to explore the hills, while also providing spots to relax and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings. Additionally, there are several eateries and stalls that offer delicious local cuisine, adding a gastronomic delight to the visit. However, during peak tourist seasons, Nandi Hills can get quite crowded, detracting from the tranquility one seeks. It is advisable to plan a visit on weekdays or arrive early in the morning to avoid the rush and fully immerse oneself in the natural splendor. Overall, Nandi Hills offers a rejuvenating escape from the chaos of everyday life. Its scenic landscapes, historical significance, and thrilling activities make it an ideal destination for a weekend getaway or a day trip from nearby cities like Bangalore. Whether you're seeking a spiritual experience, an adrenaline rush, or simply a peaceful retreat, Nandi Hills in Karnataka promises an unforgettable journey into nature's embrace. Source: ai

This place, yeah its heaven. It was all sudden plan for us but finally we made it to Nandi hills, when we reached it was stormy wind and light rain which was definitely an unexpected move from nature, but what's the joy when you are not surprised. We went in the month of November for Sunrise, though we couldn't enjoy the sunrise as expected but we enjoyed the clouds though which was a different level of beauty. Either you can plan for Sunrise or Sunset but don't be disappointed if you miss the Sunrise, you can wait and have your lunch there on the top in couple of restaurants available and have your lunch. Wait to see the Sunset, if you don't have any other commitments. Enjoy the trip.

Nandi Hills is a beautiful destination that's perfect for a weekday getaway. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, thanks to the stunning views. Having visited both on weekdays and weekends, I must say that weekends can be quite chaotic, with too many people and noise that can spoil the experience. Additionally, getting tickets and parking can be quite a hassle during peak hours. To truly appreciate the beauty of the place, it's best to arrive early, around 6am, to catch the sunrise. It's an ideal spot for a day trip with loved ones of all ages.
