If you love nature and want your children to see what actually is nature then visit this place, it's soothing one from the mad rush of daily life of the crowded cities, you should visit to feel nature, it's beauty, to experience how is the wild life, to understand even the wild don't disturb the other living without any reason. Who once visit will definitely love to visit this place again and again. And please don't litter the nature like we did with the cities, atleast something should be remain as natural as it is.

This is not like a normal National park like Corbett or Ranthambore. We took the Chilla Route and the drivers there don’t have any knowledge of wildlife. They only take you for a jungle “drive” and not a safari and charge 4.5k for that. Guides aren’t available. Any sighting or spotting will be possible only if you have a keen eye. The drivers just keep showing you deer and peacocks. Ours couldn’t even spot a langur. They can’t spot birds either. All the wildlife we saw was courtesy our own ability to spot them out. The driver would just “drive” and wasn’t even looking around.

A truely bohemian adventure spot. Just chill enjoy the lush green forest and lurking elephant troops or a solitary cheetah prancing alongside you.

Spread over in a huge area, Rajaji National Park is a best place to visit in summers. In winters there is highly faded chance to spot tigers, leopards etc. but you can see other animals anytime. Suggest you to take full day time to explore the park.

Something my family loves doing.. we have been to rajaji quite a few times and the experience has always been good. Good staff. On your visit you can expect elephants, spotted deer, sambar, leopard, wild boar, a very good variety of birds. I've liked the cheela range to be better which is a part of rajaji.

MULTIPLE ENTRY GATES TO THE PARK – Chilla gate, Haridwar Mohand Gate, Dehradun Asarori Gate, Dehradun Motichur Gate, Haridwar Ranipur gate, Haridwar Rajaji’s accessibility makes it a feasible and quick getaway for city folks for a wholesome experience A BRIEF HISTORY 1983 saw a Mergence of Rajaji Wildlife Sanctuary of Uttaranchal with Motichur and Chilla wildlife sanctuaries that gave us this majestic beauty called RAJAJI NATIONAL PARK. The Park draws its name after the late C. Rajgopalachari (also known as Rajaji), a famous freedom fighter and last governor-general of independent India. Rajaji was among the first few recipients of India’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in 1954. A BRIEF GEOGRAPHY Being located in a transition zone between temperate western Himalaya and central Himalaya, the Park has a splendid species diversity that quickly gets etched in the eyes of the visitors. Representing the Shiwalik ecosystem, the Park spreads over the Pauri Garhwal, Dehradun, and Saharanpur districts of Uttarakhand. The Motichur and Rajaji sanctuaries are contiguous and are separated from the Chilla Sanctuary by the river Ganga and the river Chilla. River Song is also a significant attraction in the Park that echoes the sound of various species of migratory birds. It spreads over an area of 820.42 sq km and is open to visitors only between Mid-November to Mid-June.amid abundant nature.

Rajaji National Park, Uttarakhand The park nestled between the Shivalik ranges and the Indo-Gangetic plains. It includes Haridwar, Dehradun and Pauri Garhwal Districts. Due to dense forest, the environment forms a habitat for a number of animals. Once visit place.

The man made and natural water bodies are running dry. No recharge is being done by tankers. Please take care. There is a lot of population pressure and cattle pressure on the forests.

Rajaji National Park is an Indian national park and tiger reserve at Shivaliks, near the foothills of the Himalayas. The Park spans over an area of 820sq. Km which includes Rajaji, Motichur and Chilla wildlife sanctuaries and parts of Dehradun. It is a paradise for nature lovers like me. The park is home to elephants, tigers, leopards, deers and ghorals, and a wide variety of birds like peacock, vulture etc. It was named after the famous freedom fighter C.Rajgopalachari popularly known as "Rajaji". It has mainly four Safari Zones (Chilla, Jhilmil, Motichur, Ranipur) in order to manage and balance the number of tourists. The park opens at 3pm on summer and 7am on winter or monsoon seasons and remain close for some days due to heavy rain or fog. We visited this park on a weekday on summer at near about 1.30pm and so we have to wait for near about 2hours to enter the jungle area by sufari. We visited the chilla zone. A 36 km drive in this safari zone is very popular. It takes 3-4 hours to complete the safari. From entry to Mundal Sot track passes through dense forest as well as open Chaur. It is example of a mix jungle. Asian Elephant, Tiger, Leopard, Spotted deer, Sambhar, Langoor, Barking deer, Jungle cat etc animal found here. Pied, Great Hornbill also main attraction on this range. We have seen wild elephants, peacocks(male and female), vultures, mostly spotted deers, sambar, monkeys and some footprints of other animals as well, the guide had shown us. Though we have not seen any tiger or pied or hornbill but I'm not much disappointed as it was my first jungle sufari. I can say I enjoyed my 4 hours(approx) journey .❤️❤️

A national treasure of India, Tiger i am not sure but other animals can easily be spotted once you on their Jeep. No waiting and easily you can board Jeep once you park your vehicle. Keep plenty of time with you to relax and enjoy nature. Do carry your snacks and water bottle when you go inside with them.
