Gasaba is located across the raging river, progressing slowly. If a bridge could be built across the river I could easily reach my home.

Our first stop from Godkhali Ferry Ghat. The place was good, has a small marketplace and also have auto and toto services to other places on that Island. One can also avail boat services to different ghats as well.

A pivot point for the Sundarbans of West Bengal and a gateway to tourists. It has a large population and acts as a hub to many surrounding villages. Good place for photographers too

It is a nice place. We reached here after a one day long launch journey amongst the lovely mangrove forests of Sundarban. Our launch was docked at the ghat for around half an hour. You can visit 2 historically relevant places at walking distance from the Gosaba Ferry Ghat- 1. Lord Hamilton's Bungalow 2. Rabindranath memorial You can breathe in a lung full of fresh air at the place that revitalizes the mind and soul.

Good place for a day trip. One can take their bike on the boats however the process is totally manual and people drag their bike on the boat while boarding. Not at all recommended for heavyweight bikes

A messy ghat, need to be extremely cautious as the tides come and go they deposit soft mud on the steps and can be very slippery. Check the condition of the boats before hiring them. We hired a small boat to cross over and it had loose planks and one of them caved in injuring a fellow travellor. The steps are wet muddy so pls take care with baby steps. Do not rush to avoid falls and injuries.

One of the busy Ferry Ghat in the Sundarban region. The people who are living in Satjelia,Gosaba,Mollakhali etc most of the time use this Ferry for their out going to Kolkata. This ferry ghat is situated on the bank of Gosaba river, where the ferry is operated in between three locations of Gosaba,Pathankhali and Gadkhali.

Padma river attached, matla, attached , environment good boat for transport gosabe market. The gateway to Sunderbans, the Gadkhali Ferry Ghat is an important place for the local citizens and tourists alike. To reach the Ferry, you need to get down at the Canning Railway station, hire a bus or something and ride on it for some 30 kilometres or so. The ride is a horrible experience with the broken roads and rash drivers. The Ferry Ghat is just like any other ferry in India, with litter lying all around thanks to insensitive tourists and locals alike. From here you can get on passenger boats to go to Gosaba and other places or if you're a tourist, board your boat and get ready for the Sunderbans trip.Main ferry ghat connecting Gosaba and surrounding islands. Much needed of Jetty. Vehicles and goods transport are very difficult.,One of the points of entry to the Sunderban ecosystem, this busy ferry terminal with Canning as its nearest railhead, acts as a lifeline for the locals of Gosaba and innumerable other islands and also for tourists venturing into the national park.Vital junction to enter into Sundarban area. This ferry ghat is well maintained and safe in comparison with other ferry ghat of this area. Auto rikshaw, Shuttle car and private bus all are available to reach Canning Railway Station. It take one and half hour to reach Gadkhali from Canning.People of Amlamethi, Arampur, Bali Hatkhola, Bijoynagar, Chargheri, Dayapur, Dulki, Ganesh Pur, Gosaba, Harishpur Ramnagar, Jahar Colony, Kachukhali Ramnagar Bazar, Kachukhali, Lahiri Pur, Luksh Bagan, Manmathanagar (M), Pakhiralaya, Parash Moni, Rangabelia, Sadhu Pur, Santi Gachi, Satjelia, Satyanarayanpur, Uttardanga have several options when it comes to a good Ferry Service Providers. In this area, there are 11 Ferry Service Providers . Gosaba Ferry Ghat is a very popular Ferry Service Providers in Amlamethi, South 24 Parganas. Popularity wise, Gosaba Ferry Ghat ranks No. 2, behind only a few other ones like

Gadkhali ferry ghat is just a ferry ghat like other many ferry ghats in Sunderban area. But sunset and sunrise is beautiful. This ferry ghat is one of the important entrance to Sunderban national tiger πŸ… reserve. Ferry service management for local people or daily commuters is very poor. I use this ferry frequently but I hate the management. They should stop carrying motor bikes in the same boat when it increases chance of accident. There can be a separate boat just to carry motorbikes and cycles. Even there is no such rule to carry how many people and motor bikes together in one boat.

Very congested place. Not well maintained. The Hamilton Bunglow should be accessible to visitors too.

From Gadkhali ferry ghat we went to this Gosaba Ferry ghat . Here is local market. We availed medicines . Tourists can get their requirements items here. Because after this Gosaba Ferry ghat there you will find no more shops or market to while travelling on boat in Sundarban. From this ferry ghat you can visit this Hamilton banglo park.

The Sundarbans is located around 100 km from Kolkata. To get there from the Kolkata, it takes at least four hours by car and then boat.It takesΒ 5 to 10 minutesΒ to travel from Godkhali to Gosaba Ferry Ghat, but one motor boat will be available after 15 to 20 minutes.
