The historic graves at Hussaini Dalan in Old Dhaka often go unnoticed, but they hold great significance. Hussaini Dalan is not only a Shiite center but also a landmark in Dhaka that has a rich history spanning many centuries. While it is known for its religious programs, especially during Muharram and Ashura, it is also an exceptional heritage site in Dhaka. As an imambara, Hussaini Dalan evokes a spiritual connection with its visitors. People can be seen worshipping and even crying, creating a solemn atmosphere. Among the notable sights are the 'tazia Mubarak', which are intricate and decorative miniature grave-like structures that commemorate Imam Hasan and Imam Hussain. Black flags and swords can also be seen, serving as reminders of the mourning and martyrdom at Karbala. These artifacts and elements contribute to the imambara's purpose as a place of mourning and remembrance. Apart from the spiritual side, the environment & beauty of this place also attracts many.

The Hussaini Dalan is an Imambara that was originally built during the later half of the Mughal rule in the 17th century in Dhaka. It was built as the Imambara of the Shia Muslim community. Hussaini Dalan was the venue for majlis or gatherings held during the month of Muharram, tenth day religious gathering commemorates the martyrdom of Hussein.

Visited here last year. This is mainly an Imambara of the Shīʿa culture. It's open for everyone, but the one visiting here should remember it's sanity and respect it.

The composition of scenic beauty with a serene ambience was remarkable. However, I encountered an eerie old lady. 1. While I was looking at my phone for pinpointing the location, she started criticizing the entire gen z for their mobile addiction. 2. Also she told me this is a holy place, so better to come here bathed and in the utmost pure state. 3. She also advised that there are some graves nearby, so better not to bring my girlfriend here. Being creeped out and surprised, I left the place as fast as I could. It's recommended to seek information about the whereabouts from someone before heading there.

One of the most famous destinations for the Shia people in Dhaka. Centuries old structure is quite beautiful and a heritage sight. I have visited recently during the month of Maharram. Thousands of people were there to celebrate or I would rather say mourn for the descendents of Prophet (PBUH). But after seeing the surroundings I would say it was like a fair where you can different types of products.

I visited this place multiple times and found it quite calm and this makes this place very beautiful in this busy city. People come here to pray. There is a pond on the backside of the mosque. The architectural design of the building is very arresting. The eye soothing view from the mosque can make anyone cheerful in a very short time.
