Holey Bakery/Oro has some of the best savory and snack items in Dhaka. Their ribs are hands down my favorite of its kind compared to all steak places I've been to. It's always a welcoming and cozy environment there. Always love visiting this place.

The ambience and hospitality of the place is great. The staff are very professional and responsive. Really like that water is complementary here unlike a lot of other places. The food is very fresh, no doubt about it. Their bakery items, especially the breads are extraordinary. Tried the Shakshuka and Simple sandwich. They taste alright and depends a lot on your taste bud if you would like it or not. But both of them are very expensive. The normal simple sandwich is 400 and the shrimp one is 600 but there's very little taste of shrimp there to justify the price gap. Their desserts are a must. Very unique and well worth it.

Visited Oro Bakery with family and had a delightful experience. The bakery offers a diverse range of treats, each showcasing quality ingredients and thoughtful craftsmanship. The ambience is cozy, creating a pleasant atmosphere for enjoying their delicious offerings. While the variety was impressive, and the taste was generally excellent, there is room for a slight improvement in the presentation. Friendly staff and the overall positive experience. Definitely recommended 👌

They don’t have any signboard outside the place, but it is easy to find as per google map. Some reviewers seem confused between Oro Dhaka and Oro.They are different places with different type of menu. Good service and food.Since i went there late afternoon instead of morning,i ordered Shakshuka instead of something sweet. Like many reputed establishments in this area, this one seems to be frequented by expats and foreigners.Usually that means the place is quieter, which i prefer.

A beautiful Cafe. Has a vibe! An upmarket crowd. Had a roasted vegetable soup--superb, had a likeable burnt taste. Sandwiches had the yummiest mouthwatering taste. Lemon marringue for dessert was super. Excellent service.

Always a pleasure coming here. I ordered Salmon in bagel- it’s good, but I would recommend the salmon in croissant next time The burger- juicy and yum. Perfectly seasoned The lemon meringue tart- it is not my usual choice but this one was pretty good. A little too tart but beautifully married with a cup of hot coffee The cafe is a cute little area with self service a and chill vibe. The most civilized thing they do is that the water is free. Really amazing

By far my favorite place to eat in Dhaka! The quality of the food is outstanding and the prices are quite reasonable. I go here almost daily and still don't get tired of it, given the variety of menu options.

I would love to visit this cafe once in my life if I got the chance to visit Bangladesh. I would love to go to Dhaka and visit this cafe. I have heard about this cafe in Quora about the infamous 2016 Dhaka Holey Artisan bakery attack. Hearing about the incident left me very sad. I couldn't believe me eyes reading about the incident. But anyways leaving aside the dark past. I would like to and definitely want to visit this cafe once.Thank you.

Their pastries are loaded with premium quality ingredients and are super tasty to eat, yummy to look at. Be careful, it's so dense in quantity, one slice will be too heavy for one person to consume. The high price is justified.

As always they are an absolute delight, and the entire menu is fantastic. There is not one item there that it is not up to the mark in general. They are definitely the best bakery in town. No reason to repeat how fantastic their sandwiches, shakshuka and paella are! But try the new pasta items, they are amazing! Unusually so, I think they also make really good burger! My new favorite, the roasted beetroots with cream cheese 😋

Please come to this place. The food is amazing and the quality is excellent! The freshness in their fruits and their freshly made pastries just make the food so much more tasty. The service is always good and it's just a good place to go after a long day of work. You really should come!

Very beautiful cafe. Very clean and wonderful to sit and enjoy a book. Staff very nice. Known them for years. Food has taken a dive. Also people all around were complaining as the waiters didn't follow instructions on how customers wanted their dish. Granola and yogurt had rancid taste possibly for the granola so we returned it and they didn't charge when we pointed it out. I would always go back as it could be a one off thing. Coffee could be better.and wi fi would have been even better. Wi fi is available even in road side stalls!!! Or maybe they don't want people to order one coffee and sit and use wifi all day!!!

I always visit the bakery and enjoy their wonderful bread and pastries and also coffee. The only problem is the fact that the majority of the staff don’t put on their masks despite the fact that they have hung a note at the entrance door that masks are mandatory! A very strange behavior in an era where Covid has changed the way people live and interact with each other. I have brought this to their attention and they would put their masks immediately.. but that’s an instant reaction that doesn’t last long. The norm is putting their masks on their chins. I really hope they can correct a behavior that is no longer acceptable.

The sourdough bread is definitely worth the visit to the bakery. My constant in Dhaka was their breads and cakes. I will recommend it to anyone visiting Dhaka and looking for a brunch place with good vibes and nice food.

Though the products are expensive, but definitely it produces some best stuff. I liked the varieties of breads, particularly the bread with jalapeno and pieces of cheese. The service is not very friendly. Packings are good. So is the presentation. I enjoyed cookies and coffees too. The parking is available at the street.

Holey Artisan Bakery is a bakery headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was described in The New York Times "as among the most beloved restaurants in Dhaka".It is a sister company of Izumi. History The restaurant was originally located on Road 79 Gulshan-2 near the diplomatic quarters of Dhaka. Its clientele consisted of locals and the expat community in Dhaka. The bakery was attacked by terrorists on 1 July 2016. In the attack, 18 foreigners, including 9 Italians and 7 Japanese were killed. The restaurant was closed after the attack, before reopening in the ‘Rangs Arcade’ building at Gulshan, described as more secure by the restaurant on 10 January 2017.[3][4] In 2019, a second branch was opened at 'Rangs FC Square' also in Gulshan, which is now renamed as ORO. The bakery owners plan to turn the former building that housed the restaurant into a residence for themselves. In September 2016, Holey Artisan opened their first overseas branch in Bangkok, Thailand shortly before reopening in Dhaka. There are currently three braches in Bangkok.

An excellent brunch place. You walk in and the aroma of the fresh baked goods engulf you. Everything is made in house. The food is excellent. If you have a sweet tooth, try their triple chocolate brownie, it's really good.

(Translated by Google) Some items are overpriced, but this is the best bakery in Dhaka. The polite staff. It’s cozy. At each visit, sellers make the child a compliment (free) in the form of a small bun. Very nice and tasty.

My go-to bakery for a lot of reasons, chief among them the gazpacho soup they make. Great vegetarian options, from quiches (mushroom recommended), and sandwiches (vegan love and caprese equally great) to their in-house greek yogurt (paired with granola). Great desserts too, especially the triple chocolate brownie and the orange muffin (warning: only try my dessert recs if you're an incorrigible sweet tooth like me). I do not recommend their shakshouka though.

Salmon benedict was probably the best that I've had so far in Bangladesh. French Toast was also delectable, and portion size was substantial. Price was also pretty reasonable considering that food quality was really good. Only complaint would be service was not up to the mark.

Clearly one of the best modern bakeries/eateries our country has to offer. Their Pastrami sandwich on rye bread was quite decent! The meat could be a little more pink, but all in all - top notch!

Used to love coming here before but unfortunately as most places in Dhaka, it’s withered away. The menu has been the same since as far back as I remember and the service staff just don’t seem to want to serve customers at all. They love a good chat though amongst themselves behind the counter away from approachability. In dire need of a refresh because I genuinely don’t want to quit on the spot. It’s been a great spot for a quick lunch.

We ordered roasted beef croissant, burger and chicken katsu sandwich. Out of the three the roasted beef croissant sandwich was the best option but the croissant was way too crispy. The worst of them all was the chicken katsu sandwich. The taste was a bit off putting, the choice of bread didn’t seem to go well with the whole dish and ofcourse they take a good amount of time to serve the dishes and honestly after tasting the sandwich I felt like it wasn’t really worth waiting for that while.

Food is impeccable here, always been... Arguably the bistro/cafe in town. Service is usually amazing too. One thing I would want to suggest to the management, now that they are serving more main courses, is having the waiters take your orders at the table instead of the diners ordering at the counter... Just my 2 cents

The food is always good, not a problem. I always buy bread, sandwiches and gazpacho to take away. HOWEVER, I find it very regrettable that, in a time when daily new cases of COVID are back above 1000, you have such a laid back attitude on mask wearing. During the 5 minutes I have spent in the shop, I have had to ask another customer, who was standing just behind me, to put his mask on, which I should not have to do as it is YOUR job. I also saw one of your waiters walking around the place without a mask and, when I told you, your answer was very dismissive. You can do much better than this.
