Among many reputed hotels in the city, Sundarban Hotel has its own popularity among many people of the country. The elderly hotel is famous three star hotel beside 5 star Sonargaon Hotel. You will be pleased with all the facilities of the hotel at a reasonable price. My experience is not very great but not less of it. I rate this hotel 4 star for satisfactory service.

The rooms are old and rusty, dark. Stayed there for 3 days on 5th floor with hubby and kids before flying back to US as it was closer to other things I had plans for. They don't have any connecting rooms where I could feel safe to stay with my kids so we stayed in one room with 2 double beds. Room service is not there. Breakfast room employs were rude and behaviors of food service team is horrible. Yucky breakfast items that came with my room offer. 1st morning went down with kids to eat breakfast in dining area but there behaviors were as if they were doing me a favor! Next morning when I called to send breakfast in my room, response was that they don't do that and I should go down to have breakfast! When I told them my kids were still sleeping...they felt like obligated to bring it to my room :( But you get what you pay for, right? Personally I wouldn't stay there ever but it's a place to stay close to prime location non expensive way.

I stayed here in 1991 as a British Airways overnight passenger awaiting our flight from Dhaka to Sylhet. I was 9 years old at the time... It was OK, food served in the night was OK too!

Can't comment on the rooms and other services, as I went to the restaurant only. The place looked old but well kept. Gave me the 70s feelings for some reason. I found the tiles that I saw in my childhood. The service was prompt as I got my tea quickly and it was good, the price was 80 taka.

The lobby needs to remodel big time. Once you step into the place , you feel like this place runs down.

The worst hotel ever. I’m pretty much sure that the hotel is very good for stray dog or rats. I found a lot of cockroaches and creepy insects. Receptionists are useless and liars. The hotel should be demolished.

Vintage looking environment inside and outside hotel. Due to central air conditioning system smokes and viruses travel through each room. Specially if you are a non smoker it will be tough to withhold the nuisance. Rooms are large enough. Regarding bathrooms, never expect big.

Rooms are furnished with old furniture. Room rent is high, no options for single bed room, most of them are twin bed. Food is not very good. Room service is average. Location is in a suitable place for those who comes Dhaka for a packed list of govt/private works to accomplish.

The Kawran Bazar SAARC fountain is next to the Sundarban Hotel in Dhaka. A 24-hour front desk, an ATM, free WiFi throughout the hotel, and other amenities are available at this establishment. In front of the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, the hotel is situated 300 meters from Petrobangla. The hotel's rooms come with a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, and a closet. Beautiful refrigerators are available in every guest room. Each morning at the Sundarban Hotel, a superb continental breakfast is served.
