AL-Razzak, one of the most popular restaurant in old town, Dhaka, Bangladesh. All the dishes here are fabulous! Their service is too good. All the menus taste superb! They are keeping their quality always very good. From breakfast to dinner, there are several types of menus. The Mutton mutton Kacchi and the Faluda here are very much renown to all. There is no beef here. I will happily recommend everyone to be here once to taste any of the tasty foods here.

Traditional foods suits everyone appetite. As the amount of spices are well put together in foods which will not be like too salty or too spicy. Though the mutton curry I got came up with only 2 oily pieces apart from that the Chanda fish and chicken curry was very good. I liked it. Stuffs are well mannered..resturant can be more clean specially the toilet area.

A very renowned multi-cuisine restaurant in Old Dhaka, with availability of breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner! Additionally they have Sweetmeat shop and Juice Corner! It was a special location for people of all classes! But after having breakfast here today it felt like the food quality is degrading slowly over the past few years! I hope owner takes notice start to fix problems asap!

This place used to serve good food before. After visiting yesterday i was so upset! I ordered a kacchi biryani which costs Tk. 350 but they served me cold biryani and also the amount of food wasn't enough. I asked the waiter why the portions were less and he said it is what it is. So i just didn't eat there at all. After speaking with the locals, i got to know the previous chef was good but now they lost their name in the market.

It is one of the best restaurants in the place. The area is very busy all the time, which can be overwhelming for many people. If you want to take a break and just hang out, this is a great place. I have heard people come here from different places far from this location just to have food here. I definitely recommend this place and test the food here. I am sharing the menu picture so you can decide prior to coming here. Another thing was that the price was reasonable too. I went there second time and it was good. I tried the Firni but didn't like it that much, not worth it.

Well known Bangladeshi restaurant. Price wise, very reasonable. Basic setup for sitting arrangement. There are 2/3 private rooms available for dinning. If you ever plan to be there, please try Kasir Regala.

Very popular restaurant in old Dhaka. Renowned for it's delicious foods within reasonable price. Varieties of mouth watering continenetal foods & desserts are available. But they do not sell beef. Staffs are prompt and friendly. But they should improve their cleanliness. Recommended.

It's a busy place and it's crowded most of the time, prolly for that reason they couldn't provide a satisfactory service. Ordered their famous lamb leg roast and chicken jhaal fry.. leg roast was pretty decent but it was not tender and chicken jhaal fry was average. Don't go there with high expectations or you'll end up really disappointed

Absolutely horrible. Complete waste of my money. I visited on 24 January 2024 at 3pm. Waiter accepted my order of bhuna kichuri & mutton tehari & mutton musallam. Came back after 15 mins, holding 2 pieces of chicken biriyani! My ordered 2 dishes weren't available in kitchen and him being the waiter himself was unaware, how illogical! Given we were in a rush, like any job holder at 3pm would be, we accepted the 2 chicken biriyani. The mutton musallam was an entire CHORBI piece with 10% meat sticking to its side. I asked for it to be changed, and he changed it after 10 mins while I had 0 gravy. Now, why did I order a gravy curry? So that I can have it my rice, right? If gravy curry arrives after 10 mins, how will a person keep sitting and waiting, while chicken biriyani rice becomes cold? We ate cold and dry rice, although laying 240tk for a changed, delayed mutton musallam which came back with 35% meat and 65% chorbi! Taste of all items? Super duper average. Go to any bangla hotel on Dhaka city and they will serve better food, with good meat portions and non delayed timings! The tomato bhorta had so much extreme salt that I felt the chef had personal enmity with me! Tomato bhorta was 1/10. Chicken biriyani was 3/10. Mutton musallam was 2/10. The finni was 2/10, if you melt a pran candy, it will taste better. The doi was 1/10 and had smelly after taste in our tongue. Waste of 800 টাকা! I will never visit again. If you are interested in wasting your money, pls go and drop the money in trash can but never visit this "হুদাই নাম beche Chola রেস্টুরেন্ট".

One of the renowned restaurants of Old Dhaka. I have visited several times with friends. This year I have visited it again after more than 5 years. Traditional Dhakaia food is available here. Specially their plain rice and mutton glassy are mouthwatering. I have tasted mutton rezala and also mutton leg roast. Just Can't describe how delicious it was. Everyone should try their food at least once in their lifetime.

Tried this place for breakfast quite a few times. Deshi breakfast tasted good every time. Restaurant is old dhaka style.basic wooden chair table.but clean.waiters are good and helpful. They are busy so at times you have to call waiters to order. At breakfast time you have to wait 10 to 15 minutes but you get piping hot food here. Try their most popular “Paya” for breakfast. Paya means slow cooked soup (mutton bone Specifically hoofs used). Squeeze a little lemon and Wa lah …Order a bread like nan or tandoor roti with it. And plz order their tea….too good.

For ramadan its open till 3am for sehri. But the place gets overcrowded and the staff gets disorganized to maintain the chaos thus food quality and service downfalls. Other than that typically on normal days they are very good and also their food is good. Wouldn't suggest for family sehri in this place

I had breakfast, vegetable, chicken soup and tea. I never had chicken soup better than this one. Their milk tea had a good spice aroma. Food and hospitality, both are outstanding, much better than many other hyped eatery of old Dhaka.

It's no more the Al Razzak. They changed a lot. Service become awfully. For 20-25 people, they have only 2 waiter. Asked to parata 2nd time and they come up with nun. Overall, they have lost their standard and quality.

One of the most renowned restaurant in old Dhaka. their food quality is really on the top. we provide a variety number of breakfast dinner and snacks menus even they provide traditional food from old Dhaka city. but nowadays their service time is not appreciate able. they took really long time serve the food on the table or for take out. the washroom condition is not even upto the mark. they need to rebuild that place.

I came to Al-Razzak after my family spoke very highly about this place. Didn’t know what to except. They seated us in a private family room where we had plenty of privacy, only if you don’t want to dine at the main dinning room. They don’t have a menu but the server will go over their daily specials. We’ve orders chicken roast/polao, Kacchi biriyani and mutton leg roast/polao. Kacchi was very disappointing as it is old Dhaka after all. But the mutton roast was to die for. We had to order extra because meat was falling off the bone. The gravy was so addicting, so we continued on. Also tried their borhani and doi(dessert). Okay, this doi is exactly what I was looking for during my Bangladesh trip. I mean starting with the texture to the taste, everything was just so perfect. I would recommend trying anything new from this place. You won’t go home disappointed. Hope this review helps the ones coming from outside of the country. Enjoy.

Excellent kaccha biryani, I had heard about this restaurant from my father that the kaccha biryani that they serve is very good, although I have been coming to dhaka from ages, but never got the change to try one. So me and my friend went there to try some khassi biryani(goat biryani) I have also attached photo of it. Just awesome taste, we both enjoyed it, a little bit sweet but still good, we also ordered murq musallam which taste more like chicken Manchurian and sweet. One more thing you need to remember when visiting this place, you have to eat with your hand not with spoon or fork that will ruin the taste of biryani. If you truly wants to enjoy a biryani use your hand, the joy of licking your fingers after you have finished the biryani is incomparable. I truly love the taste of Bangali lemon and green chili both as flavor to any dish. Just spray little bit of lemon on it and viola perfect biryani.

Foodies those who are craving for authentic old dhaka cuisines can give your try who have not yet been here, among the most famous old dhaka restaurants with accomodation facility that was simply exotic. The 350tk half dish of Mutton Kacchi will test your stomach size and their legendary Mutton Leg Roast is somewhat different from upper level of delicacy. Grab and devour quick.

Their hand wash area and toilets are very dirty. Not suitable for family, specially for women. Food quality and taste has declined a lot than past days. The good things are, tablets are clean and staffs/waiters are good.

On last December I went there and found it closed; since a couple of months. I got a little frustrated because, I have visited several times and enjoyed delicious foods since my childhood. This is one stop food station where you can have the best Dhakaiyan traditional foods. The kebabs are mouthwatering, and chicken biryani is fantastic. Once it's open again have a visit and enjoy kebabs. There are private chambers if you need to maintain separation from other people. Thia is the unique feature of this restaurant.
