Nice market for textiles, clothing and tailoring. The vendors weren't as pushy as I had expected them to be.

Chandrima Super Market is located between Dhaka College and Dhaka New Market. It's also a very old and popular market. Here, customers can buy clothes and essential items at a very low price. Clothes can be bought at a very low price from some of the garment shops here. But there's always a lot of crowd here. #good_market

New Market in Dhaka is undeniably one of the busiest and most vibrant places in the city. Situated in the heart of the capital, it's surrounded by prestigious educational institutions like Dhaka College, City College, Dhaka University, BUET, Dhaka Medical College, and Eden College, making it a hub of youthful energy and academic pursuits. For shoppers, New Market is a treasure trove. The famous Nilkhet book market, located here, is a haven for bookworms and students searching for textbooks or reading material. Moreover, it's a shopping paradise for ladies who can find an array of dresses, shorts, t-shirts, and all the accessories they desire. For the gents, there's a wide selection of shirts, pants, t-shirts, and various accessories. It's a one-stop destination for all your shopping needs. The bustling atmosphere of New Market, while exciting, can also be overwhelming due to the constant flow of people and vehicles. However, it's this very energy that gives the place its unique charm. The diversity of shoppers and students from different backgrounds and walks of life coming together creates a rich cultural tapestry. If you're a food enthusiast, New Market doesn't disappoint either. There are plenty of food stalls and eateries offering delicious local dishes and snacks. It's an ideal place to sample Dhaka's culinary delights. In summary, New Market in Dhaka is a bustling, multifaceted location catering to the needs and interests of all kinds of people. Whether you're a student, a shopaholic, a food lover, or someone looking to soak in the vibrant Dhaka atmosphere, this place has something to offer for everyone. Just be prepared for the crowds and the excitement that come with it.

One of the busiest wholesale and retail markets. It is always noisy. Many buyers and sellers from Dhaka and outside districts throng here. The indoor environment is air-conditioned. In general, this market is a huge market for people's daily necessities. It is usually closed on Tuesdays.

The largest and busiest market of Bangladesh. This market is always over crowded place. People from all the area come here for shopping. You can buy anything from readymade garments to plain cloths, grocery to households. You can get all your required products in one place and definitely in cheap price than other market. One thing is important that you need to know bargaining to shop here. This is the main market for shopping of all classes people.

This is good place for buying and selling all goods and products. All types of buyers are available. Normally the vendors ask for high price, if you new here you feel confused which rates do you say that time. But if you are regular Customers and know the behaviour of the vendors then you will bargain a lot with vendors and get the desired products in desired price.Baby's toys are available here. There is short of sports materials. Foods shops are available. The quality of foods is not highly hygienic but average but testy because of hunger of tired customers. Overall it is good place for buying our desirable products. All are welcomed to buy their products.

Dhaka New Market tends to get crowded during peak hours, particularly on weekends. Navigating through the narrow lanes can be a bit overwhelming, so it's best to plan your visit during less busy times.

New Market, Dhaka was built in 1952-54 as a shopping complex primarily to cater to the needs of the city people, and especially those of the residential areas of dhaka university, Azimpur and Dhanmandi. New Market, Dhaka Eventually, it attracted shopping people from all other areas of the city and even places outside of Dhaka. The market is located at Azimpur, with Mirpur Road on one side and Peelkhana Road on the other. Adjacent to the market there is a centre of retail shops for clothes, medicine, toiletries, and sundries necessary for household purposes and a large cluster of shops that sale cosmetics, souvenirs, show pieces, utensils, light electric items, and makeshift furniture pieces. The New Market boundaries also touch a complex of grocery shops and a market for fish, meat, fruits and vegetables. Thus New Market today means a large complex with a variety of stores around and inside its original core. The core of the Dhaka New Market has three high arched gates leading to organised rows of shops. There is a running covered veranda in front of the shops. The core market has a total of 468 shops. Visitors can find most of their requirement in these shops.[ Data is collected from the net]

One of the most active discount and retail showcases. It is boisterous all the time. Numerous purchasers and dealers from Dhaka and outside locale crowd here. The indoor climate is cooled. As a general rule, this market is an enormous market for individuals' day to day necessities. It is generally shut on Tuesdays.

New Market is very crowded. There is no covid safety. So everyone must ensure their own protection first. You will find all types of clothing items, jewelry items and shoes at reasonable prices. But everything is replica. You can get less if you bargain. All types of people, women, men, children and adults come here to shop. You have to be very careful here. Keep your money, mobile, wallet, valuables carefully. There are many thieves and pickpockets here.

New Market is the largest commercial shopping market in Bangladesh in north of Azimpur, Dhaka. It is situated on the opposite side of Chandni Chowk Market. Walking around New Market. The best place for shopping in dhaka in best price. This is a historical market in Dhaka. The market is divided into different sections, each specializing in a particular type of product. For example, the eastern side of the market is dedicated to clothing, while the western side is known for its jewelry shops. There is also a separate section for electronics and household goods. 🛑I think one of the best over crowded please in the world . 📍Mirpur Road Dhaka 1205 Bangladesh #newmarket #shopping #streetfoods

Almost all types of things available in this market and they are usually of good quality but you may have to bargain with the shop keeper.

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the Dhaka New Market in Bangladesh and I was truly impressed. The market is a lively and vibrant place, packed with people looking to buy and sell a variety of goods. The market offers an array of products ranging from clothing and electronics to food and spices. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I was particularly impressed with the wide selection of local produce, which were of very high quality and reasonably priced. All in all, the Dhaka New Market is a great place to shop and explore, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique shopping experience in Bangladesh.

But you find everything you need very cheap. Some shop are expensive. Here you found many thing like clothes, home material, cooking item, foods, grocery, winter clothes, belt, nose pin, earrings, clips each & everything. Though it is helpful for people many ways. No matter what this is a five star place for me. The first hanging out with friends started here. It was the time when there wasn’t even any single escalators’ shopping mall in Dhaka. I spent every Chand Raat here for straight 9 years with my best friends.!probably it was all to feel the festivity,.oh ,! the vibe it had that time . You can see the colour of it . I appreciate all of its culture except there were lot of children worked here. Which was actually everywhere then.

one of the oldest markets in Dhaka city as well as Bangladesh. Here you can buy all types of garments specially ladys and kids and also gents and boys. The quality of the garments is not so up to the mark but you can buy it for your day to day usages. The prices are also not so high but you have to burgain for that. The sellers usually ask for about two or three times of the actual price so you have to be aware of it.

Near Old Dhaka, the New Market is located in the northern part of Azimpur. Anyone knows by its name and the market is also on Mirpur Road. Though over the years many shopping malls have been built in Dhaka, but the appeal of the Dhaka New Market has not diminished. This shopping market remains full throughout the year with the presence of buyers. While clothing items are mostly sold in New Market, you will get other household items as well. This place always overcrowded. Dhaka New Market is famous for the availability of good quality products at a cheap price. You can buy clothing, cosmetics, shoes, boys' T-shirts, shirts, pants, etc. Under the huge roof of New Market there is a huge collection of anything you want.

New Market (Bengali: নিউ মার্কেট) is a commercial shopping market in north of Azimpur, Dhaka The market was set up 1954 as a shopping complex, to cater to the needs of the people from the residential areas of University of Dhaka, Azimpur and Dhanmondi. Construction began in 1952, on 35 acres of land during the tenure of Nurul Amin as the Chief Minister of East Bengal. Construction ended in 1954. Today the market has multiple buildings as well as sidewalk vendors. New Market area is triangular in shape with high arched entry gates on three sides. There were spaces for 440 shops and a triangular lawn at the center. The total area was 35 acres (140,000 m2) of land. During 1950's to early 1990's, it was the most popular place for shopping as well as recreation. Novelty, an ice-cream shop, was one of the most popular destinations of the young people. During the 1980s, 3 more New Market blocks were constructed on the north under Dhaka City Corporation, for example, New Super Market for crockeries, Bonolata for kitchen market, Chandrima and Gausia market for varieties of items and D block for groceries, each having over thousand shops. A park inside has been converted into a mosque at first floor level with sixty new shops under it.

""In one word, it is a place to buy almost everything, having budget friendly too. But there are two major problems remain. Such as, . 1. Higher profit: This is the main problem of this market, in here most of the seller will demand higher product price when any probable buyer wants know about any product rate. Most of the time the seller will ask 3-5 times more of actual product price, but its on the buyer now, how they will buy it. If they are familiar of this new market higher price asking, they will try their best to reduce it to an actual product price rate. . 2. Rude behaviour of the saller: It is another problem of this market. If any customer ask a product price, the seller always force those customer to say a price whether they like the product or not. If the customer is not responding of this, they will misbehave with him to any extent. . .

"The Dhaka New Market " till 90's it was the biggest shopping center in Dhaka. It's a retail market. You can find everything in this massive market. Fish to gold jewelry. People build many other market around New Market. There was a section for book stores. That corner makes us nostalgic every time we go there.

The Bargaining Centre of Dhaka. You can find anything you need at a very affordable price range if you're good at bargaining (as they ask for 3x/4x price for most of the items). However, you'll enjoy your shopping spree here that's for sure.

A market to buy almost everything. If you are confident about your bargaining skill then go there and you can buy some good things at cheap price. But one thing you have to keep in mind is this market is super crowded everyday. The market is close on Tuesday as holiday.

It's a very big & popular market in the Dhaka City where you can get everything is important for your daily life uses. It's not a typical mall like others in the Dhaka City. The market is pretty wide so it's easy to roam around here & there. Usually it's a very crowded because not only rich but every kind of people go there for shopping.

This place is a heaven for cheap products but having great quality. You can buy a lot of clothes at a low price but for personal factor you need to check the quality for yourself as if there is defect in the product or so. There is some hygine issues but i think it is pretty manageable. So maybe pay a visit and do great shopping.

A busy place for shopping of men, women, children including all household items to everything can be found here at comparatively cheaper and reasonable price. The place is very crowded with all types of people. The place is not disciplined, not that much of modern. You have to be concerned when you come to such place with your valuable gadgets, money or even with children to prevent any kind of unexpected occurrence. You have to bargain with the sellers for the reasonable price of the product. Happy Shopping. 🙂

This is such a place where the people can buy their necessary things like clothes, ornaments, groceries, cuisines, and so on in reasonable prices. Variations of products and low rate of prices have made New Market familiar and popular to all classes of people. But honestly, it is a crowded place that may irritate some customers to do shopping with ease. I personally love to shop my necessary things from here.

Dhaka new market is great place to visit for all your household needs. Fish, vegetables and other groceries. Get good deal if you know how to bargain. Shopkeepers are very persuasive and it's hard not to fall for entrapment. Over all its always a pleasure and fun experience in shopping. Some of the food stalls have great food. Not a place for tea drinkers as I couldn't find any place for a cuppa chai. Sachet coffee 8s all you'll get.

crowded. busy. not a place i like at all. but yes, anything you want, its there. and you can find things at a reasonable price as well. the most interesting part of this market is the presence of all varieties of people. you get to see the weirdest of things happening there. an observant pair of eyes might find this place pretty funny at times. Objects, animals and humans create a rather colorless carnival here; which might not be able to surpass the amount of weird fun elements over the haphazardness of the place.

This bustling marketplace, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse range of products, left a lasting impression on me. In this review, I will delve into the highlights of my experience and why Dhaka New Market is a must-visit for anyone exploring the city. A Shopper's Paradise: Dhaka New Market truly lives up to its reputation as a shopper's paradise. From traditional garments and textiles to electronics, jewelry, handicrafts, and more, the market offers an incredible variety of goods. As I strolled through the narrow lanes, I was captivated by the vivid colors and the lively chatter of local vendors. The array of clothing stores, both modern and traditional, catered to all tastes and budgets, making it a great place to shop for both locals and tourists. Cultural Immersion: One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to immerse myself in the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh. The market is a treasure trove of traditional Bangladeshi crafts and artifacts, providing a glimpse into the country's artistic traditions. I was particularly drawn to the exquisite handwoven fabrics, such as muslin and Jamdani sarees, which reflected the craftsmanship and elegance of the local artisans. Delicious Culinary Delights: Exploring Dhaka New Market is not just about shopping; it is also a culinary adventure. The market is home to numerous food stalls and restaurants, offering a wide range of delectable treats. From mouthwatering street food, such as samosas and jhalmuri (spicy puffed rice), to traditional Bangladeshi sweets like rasgulla and shondesh, there was an abundance of flavors to savor. I highly recommend indulging in some local delicacies while taking a break from your shopping spree. Local Hospitality: The warm and welcoming nature of the locals added to the charm of my visit. Shopkeepers and vendors were always ready to assist with a smile, creating a friendly and enjoyable shopping experience. Their willingness to share stories and recommendations made my time at Dhaka New Market all the more memorable. I recently had the pleasure of staying at "Hotel Suite Palace", and I can confidently say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This hotel truly deserves a 5-star rating for several reasons. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The check-in process was seamless and efficient, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. It's evident that they prioritize customer satisfaction. The accommodations at "Hotel Suite Palace" were nothing short of luxurious. My room was beautifully appointed, with elegant decor, a comfortable bed, and a stunning view. It was impeccably clean, and the attention to detail was impressive. Every aspect of the room contributed to a feeling of relaxation and serenity.

    - You would get almost every thing here and in nearby markets - A go-to-place if you love shopping - You MUST negotiate here (even you see "fixed price" tag) - Check the products thoroughly before buying - Please do not buy fast foods from here. They rarely maintain quality and hygiene. - Keep your wallets safe.
