The language museum has kept many important informations and tokens about our language, language movement and some respected persons who are connected to the development of our language. The place is quite good for people who are interested to know about bangla.They have a good collection there. Though the museum has a great collection, the security system is not seemed good to me.There were no camera, only few staffs.

Bangla Academy Location beside Food and Nutrition, University of Dhaka. Bangla Academy is an autonomous institution funded by Bangladesh government to promote and foster the Bengali language, literature and culture, to develop and implement national language policy and to do original research in the Bengali language. Everybody should visit this place to know the history of our mother language

The language movement memorial hall of Dhaka Language Institute has commemorative pictures and objects on the first and second floors. It is open on weekdays.

There is no Language Movement Museum in any other country in the world. That's why this museum is unique. It is located on the second floor of the Burdwan House of the Bangla Academy. Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated this Language Movement Museum on February 1, 2010. This museum preserves historical photographs of the language movement, newspapers, memorabilia, caricatures, letters, pamphlets, manuscripts, book covers and memorabilia of the language martyrs.

Very important for us. Its a Historical place although.

Great initiative to preserve our language movement! Very well decorated and preserving the old building like this in such a careful way really great. Just love the inner environment and the wooden stairs are so beautiful just will take you back in old age.

Institute of Modern Languages (hereinafter ‘the Institute’) was established on 1 July 1974. According to the 6th Statutes of the Dhaka University Order 1973, the Institute functions under the executive and academic authorities of the Syndicate and the Academic Council of the University. The main aims and objects of the Institute are (i) to promote and to provide facilities for the study of Modern Languages; (ii) to provide teaching, training and guidance in order to prepare candidates for the Certificate of Proficiency, Diploma of Arts in Modern Languages, and for such other Diplomas and Degrees that may be decided upon by the University; (iii) to provide such other services and facilities for training as may meet the needs of linguistic scholars, foreign services personnel and others

It is a symbol of Braveness of Bangali people.
