Went to Royal for breakfast after a long time and got bit disappointed with their environment inside. Dark and not so clean. Mutton paya is good, 120 tk, Naan 12 tk. Daal vaji was not good at all. Tea 25tk cup, Very small cup. Firni 50tk cup. Small portion compared to price.

Food is not so good..also hospitality .compare to sultan dines and kaccci vai..here single plat kacci price is 230 and Single mutton piece and a copta... otherhand in 240tk'' kacci vai ''offer you kacci with Double mutton piece with bashmoti rice. You can differ Between this two picture 1 st one is royel 2 nd is kacci vai. Thank you

Their Chicke Tandoori is good, Mutton Tehari also good. We. Didn’t get biriyani, stock out. The restaurant not neat & clean, they should take care of it.

I had a delightful lunch at Royal Restaurant and tried their Mutton Khichuri, which was absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, I got food poisoning. Hotel management really needs to to keep an eye on the kitchen and the staffs if it is hygienic and clean or, not.

Royal restaurant in old town of Dhaka had very big name, they served mostly Kabab and Chinese item. The place is cozy, there food quality is Average. Price is comparatively Okay compares to other restaurant.

The food taste was average because for some reasons the previous experience was missing, maybe the cook was not in a good mood. I took the kacchi platter so can't tell about the other platters. But their Pesta Badam Sharbat was good.

We went for evening snacks and ordered paratha, nan, beef shik kabab, chichen tandoori, pesta badam sarbat of 1 litre and tea. All foods are tasty and worth of money. The total bill was 840 taka approx which is reasonable in terms of food taste. I recommend this place.

Superb experience both in terms of food and service. Atmosphere was little messed up. Anyway, just try to ignore it to come into contact with a wide arrays of menus, specially famous in Old town of Dhaka. And price?? Oh guys, don’t worry at all. Much cheaper than many other famous restaurants, till today.

Delightful experience with old town food, drinks and kebabs! Blown away by the mutton leg roast! Other items are ok too! Reasonably priced and taste makes this restaurant pretty unique! Although reaching the place with public transport would be a better choice as parking cars are quite impossible due to narrow streets and heavy traffic flow!

I went there on 1st October 2021. I Order 'Mutton Biryani(kacchi) with Kopta' and got a cockroach for free. Taste of food was not that great. Cockroach was well cooked but not sure about the taste of it. I almost ate it. Poor cockroach, they had to kill it to cook the Biriyani. Left as soon as I saw dead guy. Not recommended. Eat there at your own risk. #cockroach_lives_matter

Environment is suffocating. There is no window upstairs. Dimly lit and crowdy. Wash room is quite bad. No digitalized billing system. People come here ,I guess, for cheap prices. Taste is okay. Gave three stars only for cheap prices.

The Biriyani are so much testy and price also cheap. Restaurant place so much backward, But setting place so nice and clean, There have Bangla food also, If you visit there must try special biriyani with jali kabab.

In the old town beside Lalbagh fort the renown restaurant royel is very popular, but the food quality day by day was down, environment was medium but many space there,variation food item there.

Some places run with their word of mouth, even without google review. The breakfast is one of the most anticipated food in Bangladesh, and certainly not to be missed. The Nehari is the best, I had some good ones recently, but nothing compared to Royal’s. Their firni and labang are popular. Nice dark cozy environment to eat and talk in a group.

Royal Restaurant is basically famous for their Pesta Badam Shorbot. I really loved it. But the mutton kacchi is very disappointing. Bashmoti rice was greate but the mutton piece was not tested good. Dont know why! btw I'm in love with their badam shorbot.

Food quality was good and the service was fast. The prices are higher than other restaurants. Service was good.

Tried it for morning breakfast... Cheap price, a lot sitting accomodations, staff behavior is quite good i found. Neef Neehari was good. But their daal was excilent... Beef neehari, goat neehari, and chicken soup only available in morning , no egg fry will be provided. So those who didn't like these stay Away.

Took plain pulao, chicken rezala and badam sharbat. Their plates are a bit small in size which makes eating difficult. The restaurant is so dark, lightings should be improved. Absolutety liked the famous badamer sharbat, but rezala was a so so item.

Good food, good service and pretty good environment. Price of the food is also pretty reasonable.

Visited in October of 2022 and 7th July 2023. Their chow mein is to die for, which was the focal point of our hasty visit. We didn't try their other dishes but the way people queue for them, they must be tasty. Downside was the waiting time was quite long. The staff were helpful. Would definitely recommend. 👍

Had breakfast with family during the Eid holidays. It’s not possible to come here on weekdays for the traffic. We had all the items on offer for breakfast: dal, vegetable, nehari, paya, soup. Dal stands out in taste, others are good, but not extraordinary. On an average food quality is on the higher side. Milk tea is good as well. However, nothing tops the Pesta (pistachio) badam sharbat. That’s what is out of the world. Previously had their biriyani which isn’t too bad either.

Food quality : 8/10 Service : 5/10 Cleanliness : 4/10 Overall : 6/10 I found the zali kabab tasteful with the beef biriyani pack. Waiting time is abnormal even in off pick hour.

Food are delicious. Specially go for beef shik kabab and tandoori. Badam sharbat is awesome. The special tea is enjoyable.

Busy, loud, friendly, and a prominent place for old Dhaka cuisine. Better to go for dinner, but before 11 p.m. since it's closing time. The service is good, but the 'Chicken Rezala' wasn't up to the mark. I also found the food to be a bit salty. However, the kulfi was delicious.

This was our first time in most desired restaurant in Puran Dhaka... We've ordered Gorur Biriyani, Khasir Biriyani, Gorur kabab, Rumali ruti, Kala vuna and famous Badam shorbot... It was a great experience.. The kabab with small portion ruti just melted in our mouth... Obviously Gorur biriyani was better than khasi...the aroma was great

The food was tasty and also convenient for your pocket. The road to go there is a little bit noisy and narrow but if you are a foodie...who cares!
