The Temple is very beautiful. After the renovation it looks much more spectacular! The quiet and serene environment inside the temple gives peace and reliefs stress. One can feel the blessings of Ma Kali here and the historical significance of this stucture.

This magnificent temple was demolished by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman govt. It was got rebuilt by assistance from Govt of India in 2017. It is an important temple in Dhaka. It is not completely built as yet. A big Lotus pond is there. Then only issue here is cleanliness. The premises is not maintained clean and the local people seem oblivious to the unclean and unkempt surrounding. I feel sorry for the Hindus in Dhaka who don't even know how to pray and clean the temples. They just come here mechanically and contribute to the rubbish in and around the temple. Even the priests pujaris do not feel the necessity of keeping the premises clean. There is no effort to put a teeka on the forehead or even serve ā¤šā¤°ā¤Ŗā¤žā¤ŽāĨƒā¤¤ by the pujari. And instead of ā¤ĻāĨ€ā¤Ēā¤• they light wax candles here. The Lotus pond is full of plastic bags and is stinking. But the temple is grand and is a must visit in Dhaka.

During the recent Kali Puja, I had the privilege of visiting the Romona Kali Mandir in the evening, and it was a truly divine experience. Nestled amidst serene surroundings, this temple exudes a peaceful ambiance that instantly calms the soul. The moment I arrived, the beautifully lit temple, adorned with intricate decorations and vibrant lights, captured my attention. The glow of the diyas and the rhythmic chants created a spiritual atmosphere that was both mesmerizing and uplifting. The temple was well-organized despite the festive rush. Volunteers guided visitors efficiently, ensuring a smooth darshan experience. The idol of Goddess Kali was magnificently decorated, and the aura around it was truly enchanting. The rituals and aarti were conducted with great devotion, filling the air with positive energy and a sense of togetherness. Outside the temple, small stalls offered prasad and local delicacies, adding to the festive charm. The entire experience was not just about spiritual devotion but also about community bonding and cultural celebration. I highly recommend visiting Romona Kali Mandir during Kali Puja to witness the divine energy and vibrant traditions. It’s an unforgettable experience for devotees and visitors alike, leaving you with a heart full of peace and joy.

The Ramna Kali Temple, situated in Dhaka, Bangladesh, holds significant historical and cultural importance. Originally built in the 11th century by a local Hindu king, the temple has been an important religious site for Hindus in the region. Its primary deity is Kali, a fierce form of the goddess Durga, revered by many for her power and protection. The temple complex was known not only for its religious significance but also for its architectural beauty, including intricate sculptures and expansive gardens. However, it faced severe destruction during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971 when Pakistani forces demolished the temple, leading to significant loss and damage. In recent years, efforts have been made to rebuild and restore the Ramna Kali Temple. This restoration symbolizes resilience and the preservation of cultural heritage amidst historical conflicts. The temple continues to be a place of worship and cultural celebration for the Hindu community, contributing to the multicultural tapestry of Dhaka. Visitors to the Ramna Kali Temple today can witness a blend of historical reverence and contemporary devotion, making it a poignant reminder of the region's rich, albeit turbulent, history.

Love this place. A peaceful and beautiful spot in the centre of Dhaka. Located in Dhaka University area . A religious and spiritual space for sanatani(Hindu) rituals and prayers. This is a very old and holy place. During the liberation war of 1971 this place was destructed by the Pakistani military. At present this Temple has been reconstructed by the prime Minister of India Narendra modi . All special sanatani (Hindu) occasions this place becomes too much crowded with devotees . There is a large field near this Temple . Students of Dhaka University of come here In their leisure time and spend quality hour here .

The Ramna Kali Mondir is a hindu temple situated beside the former Dhaka Racecourse, now Suhrawardy Udyan. The entire temple complex occupies almost 2.25 acres (9,100 m2) and is on the south side of Ramna Park, opposite the Bangla Academy. The original temple was destroyed on March 27, 1971, by the Pakistani Army during the Bangladesh Liberation War. It was the site of a massacre of mostly Hindu people. It was rebuilt in 2017 by the assistance from Govt of India.
