I've been to a lot of airports around the country and this is one of the nicest and most efficient ones I've been to. It's well organized and doesn't require a ton of transport to get between sections of it. It has a nice, large food court right after ticketing, then you can go through security and get to the terminals to either the right or left. Super easy. The bathrooms and other facilities are clean and never crowded. The shuttles to the parking lots and getting to the rental cars is also easy.

It is One of the biggest international airports of Bangladesh, but it has no international standards at all. The system is not friendly. The area is not so big. So gathering is so disgusting. The behaviour of the staff in gate is not good. They behave rudely with the passengers and the visitors. It is not neat and clean. The authority should maintain the quality.

HSIA is main air access of Dhaka,Bangladesh from domestic and international both,as I’m foreign traveler I’ve so many types of experience here.if someone notice my review from my 1st opinion; NEVER PLAN/EXPECT ANYTHING YOU CAN GET FROM HERE. From entrance to departure/arrival you must’ve all preparation to exit this place. In Covid situation all airports and airlines have so so many formalities and HSIA isn’t different but issue is that other airports have proper information and guidance while you travel through, here situation is complete different. Sometimes airport and airlines stuffs don’t have any coordination.one says it’s the paperwork other say I don’t know 🤷 Most annoying thing if you fail to support any paper and you need instant support need airlines and airports both disagree to support you whereas they simply make a copy from any airport shop. Once I’ve to pay 500 Taka for three copies of photocopy. The departure lounge for international flights is a place of the lowest class examples of irresponsible inhuman and unforgiving management of Dhaka Airport. They don’t allow passengers take in water bottle with them inside lounge, while they sometimes wait for hours. Passengers are kids, little babies, serious diabetic and heart patients – they must need water. The administration are such stupid, rather heartless that they don’t have brains to install drinking water faucets in the departure lounge. Idiot fools, at least arrange to sell water inside lounge. Use your brain and hearts.

I am sharing some pictures of the domestic side. I have tried other foods also but forgot to take pictures. The chicken patties was good enough. I took the latte. All the foods are over priced here we all know. But the food quality is good. I shared some of the airport pictures because the view was amazing in the evening. Foods are recommended.

Being an international airport it needs to have more cleanliness and be well organized according to other neighboring countries'international airports . Maybe after the opening of the 3rd terminal it may get back some life ! Alas!

The photos show what a small and congested airport it is. The management system is terrible; you must wait in line for quite some time before even getting to the main platform, where you pick up your boarding permit. There, the security personnel are incredibly unprofessional. The largest and busiest airport in the nation shouldn't be run like that; every time I go there, I get a Sadarghat-like feeling. The airport requires extensive renovations, and the crew needs good training.

Had a great experience while traveling alone as well as with family. The staffs were helpful, there were enough navigation signs so that you don't have to ask people much about where to go next and all. The bathrooms were clean and not crowded. The waiting area was clean too. But the entry area is very crowded.

This is an international airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Has good security checking and has wheelchair access entrance and parking. It has both domestic and international airlines available here. Extension work is going on, after that it will beat many other international airports around the world with overall look, facilities and quality.

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport falls into the category of an average airport. The facilities here are limited, and there's an overwhelming presence of advertising both inside and around the airport. Unfortunately, the food options leave much to be desired in terms of quality and variety. One notable downside is the presence of individuals who engage in corrupt practices, causing hassles for travelers. This is an issue that should be addressed for a smoother and more pleasant experience for everyone passing through the airport. Overall, it's a place that could use improvement in various aspects to enhance the overall traveler experience

In comparison with the amount of population of our country, it's quite tough to maintain everything, but the airport authority doing great. There are lots of to improve. Only authority can't make the changes, also people of bd should be more careful.

Nothing to write home about! Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh and deserves a better International Airport. It’s quite chaotic and unorganised. Specially the entry to the airport. Nobody follows the queue. The Taxis and CNGs are all over the place. The immigration process was smooth though.

A painful as well as a joyful place, where the pain of leaving your own country is endless, the joy of reuniting with family on return is incomparable. A very strange place. Been here more than 20 times. The airport has 2 terminals. Terminal 3 is under construction. I hope we are going to get better international quality services at the airport.

The worst airport ever. everything is bad management. Many stuff are beggar, everyone at every process were asking for my money all the time. Immigration is very poor management. Too less forianer lanes and it take 5 mins for each passengers to get through the immigration. All are manual work for the officer, and that is why it take so long here. Prepare 1:30++ hour as minimum for immigration process alone. My bad day, heavy mist issue in winter causing delay from domestic flight to international flight. The airport acknowledge the issue but there was no plan or direction to manage the situation properly. All the international passengers that traveled from domestic flights to international flights got the same issue. We all were missing our flight and the immigration officers are never care. The airline staff called me at the immigration and explained the situation to the officer. But the officer just ignored him. This happen to many passengers there. The officer at the x-ray machine at the gate also took my power bank 10000mAh and told me that it is not allowed. I take international flights more than 50++ flights yearly and I know the rules. I got no time so I just gave them my power bank. Fortunately I am a gold member passenger and the airline was waiting for me. I was the last passenger. My worst travel experience ever.

Visa on arrival is a big game. Few minutes in the queue, asked to pay first, went for payment counter, asked to fill a form. Wow… this process needs to be well organized, not to waste our time in going here and there. Airport is nice and small. Found my bag in one minute. Got SIM card

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. It is the largest international airport in Bangladesh. Here is the terminal number three, the terminal is of international standard. People from many countries of the world come here by air. But inside the terminal, the Ansars of the airport harass the expatriate people in many cases. Outside the airport area you will carefully exit. Many brokers and hirunchis stay here.

I am not sure why the arrival section of the airport is in a worse condition compared to the departure section. I spoke with the women who worked in the bathroom. I asked if she gets paid well. She told me she gets paid only 7,500 taka per month (which is nothing in Dhaka). I felt sad. They need to put more restaurants in there.

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka stands as Bangladesh's primary air gateway, facilitating domestic and international travel. The airport offers a decent array of amenities, including lounges, shops, and eateries. However, challenges like occasional congestion, long queues during peak times, and cleanliness issues persist. Despite these drawbacks, it serves as a crucial hub for travelers entering and departing Bangladesh.

Not too shabby but yeah this airport has the worst passenger experience ever. Both while getting in and out!! Almost everyone working is either rude or disqualified in their space. Apparently it doesn’t even sum up with other local airports across Bangladesh

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) is the main international airport of Bangladesh. It is located in Kurmitola, Dhaka, about 17 kilometers north of the city center. The airport has two operational terminals: the domestic terminal and the international terminal. The domestic terminal is a small, one-story building that handles flights to and from destinations within Bangladesh. It has a limited number of facilities, including a check-in counter, a security checkpoint, a departure lounge, and a food court. The terminal is often crowded and chaotic, and the waiting times can be long. The third terminal is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in 2023. It will be a large, modern terminal that can handle up to 24 million passengers per year. The terminal will have a number of state-of-the-art facilities, including a spacious check-in area, a large departure lounge, and a number of restaurants and shops. Here is my review of the two terminals: Domestic terminal: #Pros: -Convenient location -Affordable -Good food options #Cons: -Crowded -Long waiting times -Limited facilities ***Third terminal: #Pros: -Modern and spacious -State-of-the-art facilities -High capacity #Cons: -Not yet completed -Not yet open to the public Overall, the domestic terminal of HSIA is a functional but outdated facility. The third terminal, when it is completed, will be a major improvement and will help to meet the growing demand for air travel in Bangladesh. I would recommend the domestic terminal for passengers who are traveling on a budget or who are only staying in Dhaka for a short time. If you are traveling with a lot of luggage or if you have a long layover, I would recommend waiting for the third terminal to open.

Hazrat Shahjalal international airport. It is an old airport. So it's a little short. The construction of a new airport in the pass will start soon. Soon we will see a great airport in Bangladesh. Airport staff is very helpful. Duty free also has a lot of things. There is also a currency exchange at the airport. Airport staff is very nice and helpful.

One of the best Airport that I've visited. The local lounge is very neat and clean. There is desk of all major airlines who operates domestic flights. Toilets are cleaned. There is restaurant to buy food and water. Although you can't carry liquid during checking. There is dedicated bus service which takes passenger to the flight area.

This airport is on a whole new level, specifically, the travel shop located here. All the employees of the travel shop gather in this fake VIP lounge and engage in loud and disrespectful conversations about the guests, particularly targeting female guests. They attempt to extort money from you and charge extra for every item. They spend their entire day idling away without any productive work. The person at the front desk is the ringleader, allowing everyone to enter the lounge. In the store downstairs, the cashier insists on payment in cash and specifically in dollars. If you refuse to pay in dollars, he becomes vulgar. Moreover, I was charged USD 10 just to access the airport for my departure flight, which is outrageous. Everywhere you go here, people demand money to perform their duties. Bangladesh needs to improve. As a US citizen, I will not return to this place until the airport issues are resolved, and I will advise all US citizens to avoid visiting this country. There is a complete lack of respect for any US citizen here. I'm not asking for special treatment; I simply expect the minimum level of service. Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that all employees also use this lounge to count their ill-gotten money. Some airline employees, like those from Indigo and Vistara, don't even bother to engage with you; they exhibit a dismissive attitude. They treat both Bangladeshi people and others poorly, showing utter disrespect.

The airport is very small and crowded, as it can be seen from the pictures. The managing system is very bad, you have to be in a long line before even reaching the main platform from where you get your boarding pass. The security staff are very unprofessional there. A countries largest and most busiest airport should not be like that, every time I visit there, it gives me the Sadarghat Type vibe. The airport is cleaner and more organized compared to 2019 when I last visited. The cleanliness and maintenance of the toilets is commendable. A good variety of food and a number of restaurants in the international departures transit area. The Mujib Corner for readers is the best addition, where anyone reading books is allowed in and has comfortable chairs, phone charging slots, hassle-free setting, etc. Once the construction of new Terminal 3, airport expressway, etc. are completed, the international visitors will be able to experience a whole new Dhaka.

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport's Domestic Terminal is a modern facility with a sleek design and excellent amenities. The airport's layout is well-organized, making it easy for travelers to navigate through the terminal. The security process is efficient, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The terminal offers a range of dining options, which add to the convenience and comfort of the airport experience. The terminal is also equipped with free Wi-Fi, so travelers can stay connected while waiting for their flights. One area where the airport could improve is in its seating capacity. During peak travel periods, the terminal can get crowded, and there may not be enough seating available for all passengers. Overall, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport's Domestic Terminal is a great airport that provides a comfortable and efficient travel experience. Its modern amenities and friendly staff make it a convenient and enjoyable place to travel through. I would recommend this airport to anyone flying domestically within Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh, one of the busiest and most well-known international airports is Hazrat Shahjalal. For both domestic and international flights, there are now two terminals. For international travellers, they'll open the third terminal. This location is frequently crowded with both international and Bangladeshi visitors. Parking facilities are available at the airport. In this neighbourhood, there is a lovely mosque. This airport has a stunning nighttime view. Right now, this airport offers and accepts an E-passport facility.

It will be hard to put any comment or rate this airport. It was moderately fine airport few decade age when less people had the capability to fly. But now, it's pretty messy. This place struggle to cope up with the influx of passengers. Authorities are trying to improve the service but it's little difficult when you have to accomodate a large number of people in a comparatively small place. Shopping and eating options are very limited. There is one coffee shop serve "ok' standard coffee. For that you need to do the immigration. If you are arriving in Dhaka and if this is your first time, please be prepared for a life time experience.

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka Bangladesh is the main international airport. Everyday so many flight is there. Situated between Khilkhet and Uttara. Very crowded place. Facilities are inadequate comparing with the flight and passengers. Many reports about mismanagement. Taking long time to go inside the airport. So better reach airport before 3 hours atleast. Inside facilities somehow good. Need to improve many more. Airport staffs need to be more professional and helpful. Sometimes report coming about luggage thieving, many airport workers are involved in damaging, thieving luggage. There should be zero tolerance for mischief and wrongdoers in airport.
