From my very children I used to there with my father who was a renowned guitarist and was attached with renowned dancer Gowhor Jamil and Rowshan Jamil. I still remember the occasion of 1400 Bangla New Year when my father along with hundred’s of students of Jago Art Center ( organisation of Rawshan Jamil) roamed around Dhaka city in Pander Truck. An an inhabitant of old Dhaka specially Dholaikhal it was my father’s responsibility to arrange the truck for students and teachers of the art school. Sweet memories. We had a break I. Charukola and have need day snack there. The roads ware almost empty at the time of pohela boishak are that time.

One thing that immediately stands out about charukola is its impressive facilities. The campus includes numerous studios and workshops, as well as state-of-the-art equipment and technology. This means that students have access to everything they need to bring their creative visions to life, whether they're working on a painting, a sculpture, a film, or something else entirely.Another strength of charukola is its faculty. It boasts an impressive roster of experienced artists and designers who are passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of creatives. Many of the faculty members are also actively working in their respective fields, which means that students get a unique opportunity to learn from people who are at the forefront of the industry.

Charukola is a place that represents the voice of art. It continues the tradition of 'Mongol Shovajatra', which aims to reduce rage and aggression. At this institute, students are encouraged to express their inner creativity through various forms of art such as sheets, pages, sculptures, and more. As visitors, we can appreciate the creations and the creators themselves.

I have a looooots of things to talk about this place! If you're looking for some peace, silence, greenery in dhaka, you can have a visit to this place. I know its really tough for the students to welcome outsiders like this, as I myself have seen some of them literally spoil the place with their behaviour or activity. I would request people to be sober, it's not a park, it's an educational Institute.. Love love love. See you soon charukola🤍🤍🤍

A tree without leaves can be artistic too. This place is an example of art. Photos can be taken nicely if the photographer is good enough otherwise, photography will be a complete disaster just like ours (the noob photographers 😣)

Charukala and Bakultala likely refer to places associated with arts and culture in Bangladesh. "Charukala" often refers to the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Dhaka, which is a centre for artistic education and creative expression. "Bakultala" might be associated with cultural events or spaces, but specifics could vary. If you have a specific question about Charukala or Bakultala, feel free to provide more details so I can assist you better.

Institute of Art in 1948 which was the first educational art institute in this country and eventually became the main centre of art and cultural practice. At its beginning, there were six teachers (Anwarul Huq, Quamrul Hasan, Safiuddin Ahmed, Habibur Rahman and Syed Ali Ahsan) along with Zainul Abedin as the Principal and eighteen students. The activities of this Institute started with two departments – Fine Art (at present Drawing and Painting) and Commercial Art (at present Graphic Design). The Institute was started in DNMI Hospital building at Johnson Road in Dhaka. In 1952 the Institute was moved to a building at Segun Bagicha and then in 1956, it was moved to its own premises at Shahbagh. In 1983 this college merged as an Institute with Dhaka University. Honours courses were introduced from the 1992-93 session. The Institute was turned into the Faculty of Fine Art of Dhaka University in 2008. At present, there are eight departments in this Faculty. There are 63 permanent teachers. Professor Nisar Hossain of Drawing and Painting Department has been performing the responsibilities of elected Dean of the Faculty since 30 April 2019.
