Caritas is a Latin word means "Love God's Love". Caritas is an NGO which founded in Bangladesh from 1967 for human welfare as a part of East Pakistan at then. Following the cyclone of November 1970 it was re-organized and become known as CORR (Christian Organization for Relief and Rehabilitation) and took the charter of a national organization on January 13, 1971. The name Caritas was re-introduced in 1976 & started work as vital part of society. Currently it’s operating it’s services in 8 Regions (Chottogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet) & in 186 subdistrict or upazila. During emergency like natural disaster, CB is operational in any part of the country.
