Took Achari Rice Meal and Lime Refreshment drink. Both were average. One of us took the Mushroom Melt burger and it was pretty good. From my previous experience I also liked their burgers. So for your first visit I'll recommend to try their burgers, then anything else. Service was good. There's an open balcony where you can smoke.

Fantastic staff behaviour and good food quality. We were the first customer of the day and the restaurant was neat & clean. We ordered their Shah Poutine, Achari Rice, Gyro Chicken Over Rice & French Fries. Quantity was enough to satisfy our hunger.

Very good food and great environment. One thing they need to adjust is the spice level. I ordered Gyro Chicken Over Cajun Fries and Mango Habanero Grilled Chicken. Both of them were great. However, the spice level was much higher than what I get in their Baily Road Branch. The Lemon Iced Tea was extremely good.

Loved this place. The foods were tasty. A little expensive, but I felt they were worth it. We have tasted/experimented with several items from their menu, never have been disappointed. Don't forget to try their Shah Poutine. Once we reached there at their closing time, but the staffs were very cordial and friendly while they were waiting for us to finish our food. It was my birthday and one of my bros came to surprise me. We both decided to go to Madchef as I was craving their Achari rice. The plan was to order 2 Achari rice but my bro had other things in his mind. He somehow convinces me to order the Basil Chicken. This was new to me. They had 3 different rice for the platter, steamed rice, creamy rice, and achari rice. I chose achari rice of course. From the Achari rice section, they had 2 types of achari rice, garlic, and naga. I chose Garlic Achari rice. The platter contained garlic achari rice, poached egg, a lemon, and basil chicken. Achari rice was absolutely brilliant. It was sticky, sour, and spicy. The poached egg was like any other poached egg, soft and warm. The basil chicken was spicy, soft, tender with a bit of hint of basil leaf, and sometimes a bit sweet. It was brilliant. Overall it was an amazing meal.

It is one of the best places for having poutine in Dhaka. The ambience was good. I especially miss the sizzling hot serving of poutines. Their Achari Rice platter was also delicious if you like spices.

Love to do our Ifter in this restaurant for a all time. Fish'n X Chips all time favorite but this time along this we try Garlic Mussels. Which was better in taste. Let's talk about Fish'n X Chips , we miss the lemon and crunchiness of the fish . Overall nice and spacious place . Well behaved staff and coordinated.

Madchef is an old favourite. Their food never disappoints. Whatever I tried from their menu, i liked them. This time, i tried their Shah Poutine- it was so good. Other items were tasty as well. Love their garlic mashroom, and french fries as well.

Like many other brand fast food joint in Dhaka. Taste is different than KFC or Herfy. Liked the taste for a change. The staffs are quite friendly but some of them were new (had to explain many times). Limited basement parking available (be prepared for road side parking, which may be difficult).

One of the very famous (perhaps even a fan favorite) restaurants in Dhaka, I suppose. I don't know if I'm the only one who has experienced such deep disrespect from a restaurant. I can't even believe it, I swear! It happened over a month ago. I visited with a colleague(male) after work. It was our first time at Madchef, specifically the Banani branch, and we were in high spirits, eager to try a great taste burgers. However, from the moment we entered, we felt an unwelcoming atmosphere. Nevertheless, we tried to ignore this and placed an order for french fries, a classic/basic burger, and one of their special burgers. Now, onto the food. It was barely edible; I couldn't even finish my burger (and burgers are my favorite; it was really hard for me to waste food, but I had no choice). The entire time we were there felt like a burden. They stared at us with disdainful looks (almost as if they were making fun of us). I can hardly believe everything that was happening in right before my eyes, involving many staff members; not even one. In one instance, they were literally laughing at us! Oh my God! (I've attached the cropped image here as well). If I had the time, I would definitely consider filing a complaint against them for their mockery and disrespect. (I'm not sure if it goes against the law or anything; I just know it was a nightmare for us). Anyway, after several months, I'm here to inform you all that it's possible to encounter such unprofessional, intolerable, and unpleasant behavior from a restaurant in Dhaka! (I could have written this review on the very day we visited, but we were so shocked that day, and I believe my review would have been more emotional. That's why I decided to write it today). (We were truly shocked by how a restaurant could treat anyone this way in the world). I just wish and hope, nobody, not even a enemy ever faced this type of disrespect from a restaurant, where we go for chilling & good time) Beware, mates! The food was delicious but could have been better if they really focus on improving the flavours and not dump sauce and cheese on everything. Service was excellent , the staff members were well mannered and the atmosphere was good . Their AC's are a bit weird cause it was kind of hot inside. Overall the experience I had was nice .

Madchef is one of my favorites. Their platters are way good but I would recommend to make their salad a bit more juicy. Now it's like just some leaves. Their rice is very flavorful and their sauces are also great.

3 stars for food. 1 star for service. Had to wait 30 mins for one rice meal. There was 20 minutes between the serving if two main courses. Waiters and Servers have no clue how to manage a restaurant floor. 2-3 waiters stand on the middle of the restaurant crowding the place and standing too close to guests that are trying to eat. No assistance to guests unless guests call out for help. After waiting for 5 minutes for a menu had to ask someone for one and only then was told about online menu. Even when there's no more space left to sit, guests are allowed to come in. HEALTH HAZARD. Overall, very disappointed with the service. Great example of how restaurants go downhill over the years.

I went there to meet a friend for lunch and as I entered I was greeted by the staff and it was a really warm welcome. Although I never took MadChef to be a restaurant always considered it to be a burger joint but then again their menu is so much more diversified than it what it used to be 2-3 years back. After my visit today this is a restaurant for sure and a brilliant one. I have had everything on their menu but lucky for me they added 2 new platters I couldn't help myself but have it and it was too filling like a proper lunch. Excellent enough the place is clean and nicely decorated. Their artwork in the restaurant is nice as well. Although one aspect I didn't like and it was being able to see what's happening inside their kitchen. I mean I am fine with that but as it was lunch time saw the people eating inside without any consideration for sanitation which bothered me. Other than that everything else was fine and good.

Madchef's Achari Rice is one of my favourite item. Price is okay for me according to the quantity. Though Madchef is popular for their burger but I didn't like their burger that much :( Achari Rice : 9/10 Chicken Burger : 6/10

The food was average. Madchef has gotten a lot of downfall since they established. It's not the items that I will crave for later. Also the service at Banani is prolly the worst. The waiters aren't well trained enough

Update:My most recent visit was during this year February and I think it's time to update my stance Food has become really expensive. However the price increase doesn't reflect on portion or quality. Rather I felt like the quality has dipped . Yes they are trying to bring in innovation in food but in turn making it overly complicated. it's not one of the best good joint in Dhaka anymore. Earlier review: Although Madchef started as a Burger joint, it expanded it's good offering and that's what is keeping it afloat. About the new place, it's good , spacious. But I will always miss the old one. I loved that space quite a bit. Regarding food, it's great. The new poutines are good. In fact this is the best place to come with your peers. Not only you will enjoy the food, but also the company. Service is top notch as usual and kudos to them for being able to maintain it properly. In Bangladesh context, this is pretty rare.

It has been a while since I went back to madchef again. I used to love their burgers. The burger I ordered was not bad. The bun neither seemed nor tasted like brioche. The patty was tasty, and the seasoning was spot on. I loved their fries with Cajun spice. Their "achari rice with tender chicken" could be interesting for people who like pickles. There was a dish with chicken, fries and some cheese sauce which I don't think is my cup of tea. The shake was a disaster, filled with whipped cream and nothing much. The mint drink was OK and refreshing. This place used to be better. Like most chains, the quality of this chain has degraded over time as well.

I am not a big fan of fast food so my trip to these type of shop is rather limited. But if i have to say about this place, i would definitely start with their sauces. They really got nice flavor of sauce and thickness and i really liked them. Burger was also enjoyable and the petty had a nice crisp burn which was nice. Decor is not so great but sitting arrengement was ok. Overall, if someone would like give me a treat, i may prefer this joint.

Food is good here I must say. According to price the items are worth it. 10% VAT is added and on all items. However, some items have 10% SD (Supplementary duty) as well. They maintain a good hygiene. But the environment is not too good as the place is small and becomes noisy easily. Also, the smoking zone is visible while eating which doesn’t look good as people (especially underaged kids < 18!) roam around, smoke and behave obnoxiously.

I haven't been to my once favorite place madchef in a while. The reason being that, in the name of diversifying their menu, they actually kept launching countless new items with hefty prices too frequently without retaining the quality of the classic items people used to go there for (e.g. their burgers and the shah poutine). But I was excited to try their newly launched items: Mango Habanero Grilled Chicken and Creamcheez Stuffed Chicken. I won't talk much about the habanero chicken because it just seemed to me like another one of their experiments that tries to be too many things but ends up being just average and way overpriced. The Creamcheez Stuffed Chicken however, completely blew me away. It might look like regular chicken strips but it's stuffed with spinach and oozing cream cheese. Along with the creamy cheese base, this item bursts in your mouth with a perfect balance of chicken, cheese, and spinach. It also has a very good proportion that can easily fill up 2 people. With this dish, Madchef again managed to retain that special place in my heart.

One of the smallest branch of madchef,I think. We went to have dinner, most of the seats were full.but they were having some bug problems.with mosquitos. They had to turn off their lights so that less bugs get inside. Food was usual,good . Spicy cajun fries- they were really good. Just a perfect place for having some unique fried rice items. We have tried all of their rice items and their taste is just out of the world. Staffs are cooperative. Atmosphere is very nice. I highly recommend this place.

Achari naga rice with Basil leaf chicken is their best item I think. For all spicy lovers it'll be a treat to taste. But who doesn’t love spicy food, don't fo for it.

Nice interior.. On the 5th floor of a building in road no. 11 in Banani. Spacious and during the corona situation, they are maintaining the cleanliness norms. Friendly staffs and last but not the least, the burgers are good. Me and my friend had the 'Smoky Chic' which was okay, but not awesome. There are other burger stations that are better in all aspects..

Food was excellent as well as the interrior. Price is resonable. Their nutella shake and the mint lemonade was quite excellent. The place was very calm.and obviously mentioning point is their safety precaution was awesome they sanitize almost everything. They use onetime plastic instead of ciramic.
