This is historical place where in 1971 on 2nd March a huge number of people who came ignoring the curfew in the historic Bot tola of Arts Faculty,Dhaka University,while military helicopters flew over their heads. In this day the national flag of independent Bangladesh first waved by veteran politician A S M Abdur Rob. Present day, many cultural and political function held here also student take rest after their class.
