I was a resident of Fazlul Huq Muslim hall. Not shahidullah hall but have many memories of it. It is filled with natural beauty but the living condition of the student are nowhere near of ideal.

An ancient dormitory of the University of Dhaka. People from science faculty get allottmet in this dorm. Big playgrounds and pond increase it’s a charm. Unlike other dorms, It's students are conscious about their rights.

This is one of three halls from the establishment time of Dhaka University. It was first named as "Liton Hall" and then as "Dhaka Hall". In 1969 it was named after the name of great Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah. This is one of the most beautiful halls of Dhaka University and one of the most accommodated halls of Dhaka University. Only male students from science are allotted in this hall. Many of the greats of Bangladesh were resident student of this hall. There were several martyr freedom fighters of liberation war of 1971 from this hall. Renowned novelist Humayun Ahmed was also a student of this hall. It has one main building and 2 extension building. There is a beautiful pond beside the main building.

Dhaka University, the Oxford of the East, is home to several iconic structures, and the Shahidullah Hall stands as one of its most prominent landmarks. Established in 1965 and named after the renowned linguist Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah, this hall epitomizes the rich academic and cultural heritage of Bangladesh. From the architectural viewpoint, Shahidullah Hall carries a timeless elegance. The traditional red-bricked structures, interspersed with lush greenery, offer a serene ambiance amidst the hustle and bustle of Dhaka City. Walking through its corridors, one can sense the weight of history and the countless scholars who have passed through its doors. However, Shahidullah Hall is not just an architectural marvel; it's a cauldron of cultural and intellectual activities. Home to several thousand students, the hall has borne witness to debates, dramas, and discussions that have shaped the socio-political narratives of Bangladesh. It's a space where young minds come to challenge, learn, and grow. Furthermore, the administration and staff of Shahidullah Hall deserve applause for maintaining a conducive academic environment. The facilities, while not state-of-the-art, are well-kept and functional, reflecting the respect and value the university holds for its students. Yet, like any aged structure, Shahidullah Hall shows signs of wear and tear. Some areas could benefit from modernization and upkeep to cater to the evolving needs of students. But, even in its imperfections, the hall stands as a testament to Dhaka University's commitment to excellence and its pivotal role in shaping the leaders of tomorrow. In essence, Shahidullah Hall is not just a residence; it's a symbol of pride, history, and intellectual fervor for the students of Dhaka University and Bangladesh at large.

Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall❤️❤️ It's a student dormitory from the establishment of Dhaka University. Three buildings are there. The main building's design is amazing! another is Extension-01 beside the pond of Shahidullah Hall and another is Extension-2 opposite to the Burn Institute.Extension 2 is generally 3 buildings connected together. There is a big playground. Cricket tournament of many hall's are held here all the year round!
