I visited this place multiple times. I appreciate their food which is delicious at a reasonable price. But last time they served us leftover Pulao and curry. It was unexpected. Before that I did not have any issue with the quality of food. I will visit again.

I ordered chicken bhuna, din vorta & alu bhorta, and it cost me 331 taka. The amount of food does not represent the price that I have paid. It was barely enough for one person. They gave the tiniest 2 pieces of chicken that you can imagine. The taste of the food was also not up to the mark. Disappointed with the order.

I tried their Letka khichuri twice and became a fan of it already. The interior is somewhat OK but what stands out is quality of their Bangla food items. I tried Dim bhorta, Begun bhorta, Loti chingri and alu bhorta and loved all of them. Probably one of the best options for Bangla food items I have tried so far in Dhaka. The price makes up for the quality food they offer. Highly recommended.

Have you guys visited this place yet? I have tried four of their items Let’s start from their star dish item Kb khichuri( KB stands for Kala bhuna with achari) It is one of the top most khichuri at dhanmondi and in here you get decent amount of meat and I have added extra meat also. Taste:9/10 Ilish korma If you are an ilish fan then this dish will be a perfect choice for u. Taste:8/10 Hyderabadi Dum To be honest the meaty part was really good but the rice wasn’t that flavourful sadly. Taste:7/10 Walima roast This one was also good but I think the tikia need some modifications Taste:7.5/10

Dhanmondi Deshi Food Finds! KALA BHUNA ACHARI KHICHURI (with extra meat)- One of the best khichuri I’ve recently tried. The consistency of the rice was mushy/runny aka patla/letka khichuri, cooked with the perfect mix of spices with tanginess from mango pickle which gave it a versatile flavour. Paired with beef kala bhuna. The tender beef pieces stewed in its own juices and slow cooked in a variety of traditional spices was a hit. Topped with fried onions & chilli with a serving of salad and pickled onions. The perfect combo especially in this weather. Price BDT 520 MUTTON DUM BIRIYANI (REGULAR)- Biriyani cooked in kachchi style, very fragrant dish, the mutton pieces were very soft, rice was well cooked but the rice was a little on the dry side. I’ve given them my feedback hopefully they’ll look into it. Price BDT 450

I had this set here which I had forgotten the number but it was delicious. They also gave 2 pieces of chicken in one set which most others don’t have. So that's a + 1 star. It costs 320 + 15 tk vat extra which is not included in the menu. I suggest you ask them about the vat % of your order first, if it’s necessary. The atmosphere is reasonably clean and ambient. You won't get disappointed.

Food quality is good. I tried their deshi items like vorta, kalabhuna, fishes, dal etc. Kalabhuna was not up to the mark, but other items were very tasty. If you like deshi items, this restaurant can be a good choice. Staffs are well behaved and the ambience is ok.

Good quality food. Tried mixed vegetable, egg bhorta and daal bhorta. All three were tasty. I also tried Kalabhuna Achari Khichuri and it was so yummy!

Previously I ordered their Bangla food many times and they were very good always. This time I went to the restaurant while running an errand, and tried the Thai menu. I ordered the Thai Set 2. The food was average. Most of the lights of the restaurant were turned off and there was minimal natural light, so the environment seemed a bit gloomy. They need to be more careful about the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. It felt like one of those restaurants who mainly focus on online orders when I visited. The service was good though.

An amazing place to have Bengali / Bangladeshi foods. One of those places where you can find a diverse selection of different fishes. And their khichuri is simply amazing! Would highly recommend this place for their quality and value for money.

The food was really yummy. And the portion was nice. But I found it a bit overpriced. Also the atmosphere didn't seem very clean. Their washroom door wasn't working. Plus the hand washing area didn't have any doors either. You can literally look at it where you can clearly see it. So not a very good view.

I recently ordered achari khichuri with kala vuna. The beef was off. Caused Stomach upset. Not ordering again. Response to the question from the owner: No, beef was not spicy. Rather it smelled bad - I mean the beef was rotten or something like that. And as i said, i had a bit of upset stomach after eating this.

Recently their attitude towards customers getting worst day by day, 1st of all they dont give changes (money), 2nd of all they dont provide the same amount of food they used to give, 3rd of all when customer tells them food amount is not accurate like before they says not to come again....SUCH ATTITUDES TOWARDS CUSTOMERS IS DANGEROUS AND ITS SAYS HOW LOW QUALITY MINDED PEOPLE THEY ARE....Its sad that day by day people's attitude towards customers getting worst these days....IF THEY DON'T GIVE ANY VALUES TO CUSTOMER, THEN WHAT ELSE TO BE EXPECTED..... EXTREMELY BAD ATTITUDE SERVICE FROM FOOD LAB DHANMONDI and meanwhile their food quality has been decreased day by day.....I won't recommend this service to anyone, Customer = Business if they don't want Customers to come back, means they don't care about Customers at all....BAD ATTITUDES SERVICES AND FOODS.

I was so disappointed when I opened the box of sonalika chicken achari khichuri. It had so much oil!! There was a thick layer of oil above the rice. The rice was extremely soggy and the food was unnecessarily spicy. I was really looking forward to having this dish. You can get a box of tastier khichuri at a lot cheaper price at some restaurants. Then I saw the 1 star ratings on foodpanda and saw similar complaints. Maybe other dishes are better but my experience with this dish was a disaster unfortunately. I hope food lab will use their customers' constructive criticism to deliver better food in the future.

Ordered a kala bhuna achari khichuri from Food lab through food panda,it cost 359tk overall,i found the food cold,not a bit of warm actually, amount of khichuri was great but amount of beef is very poor,they only serve 4/5 tiny pieces of beef which is not sufficient even for one person,but they provide 2 people's khichuri,taste was great,but i expected the khichuri to be dry but it was soft which they didn't mention also,but it taste good with beef kalavuna actually,but according to the amount of beef and completely cold food for me it was not price worthy, I found it overpriced.

Just ate there with my mom. Blown away. Everything is amazing from the rice to the dal. To the shrimp to the fried fish. Amazing

A hidden gem in Dhanmondi. Great place for bengali food. Staff are all very helpful. According to the staff most of the kitchen staff including chef and some front line staff are from the Boishakhi restaurant which was in the same building but closed now. Food quality and taste is excellent. Price is also reasonable.

We were craving for bengali food after a long time and we tried their borta platter and loti with chingri. The food was simply delicious and after a long time we had such amazing bengali food from outside :)

Had their achari khichuri with kala bhuna again last night after a long time, just as amazing as the first time, portion sizes were very good as well, even if you have a big appetite you aren't going to be able to finish 1 serving of khichuri alone, but it is as advertised as 1:1. Meat quantity is also very healthy and not to mention these are good pieces of meat, juicy and tender not the bones and cartilage that are served to imitate higher quantity of meat. Its a must have if you are khichuri lover.

Absolutely disgusting. The food is mediocre and overpriced. Never in my life I've seen one piece of ilish fish be 500 taka. Your business won't succeed by ripping off customers since nobody will come back. Hope this place rots. Edit: The owner loves harassing customers who don't give 5/5 and gives him compliments- as seen in the comment below me. Can't even take criticism like a man.

Found this restaurant through Foodpanda on a hungry evening while scrolling. I was craving the deshi beef bhuna and korma roast with polao hence jumped at the first opportunity to order these from the menu! I genuinely enjoyed this meal so much. I was skeptical at first since I have not tried their food before, but it did not fail to impress! The chicken korma had generous amount of gravy, and had the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. The chicken roast piece used was decently sized. The beef bhuna, I became a huge fan of. For the first time, I found a restaurant not cheating customers by adding 4 bones out of the 7 pieces they serve. There weren’t any bones! And the pieces were perfectly cooked and tender. The flavors were amazing. The khushboo polao was the perfectly cooked addition to mix and match with the dishes and have a heavenly bangali meal with. I am so impressed and hope they hold onto this quality for a long time!

Placed order for 2 units letka khichuri with kalavuna, Total price with VAT 789, but kalavuna so poor quantity, we shocked about their robbery. Total food value maximum tk.200. Shame to fraud!

Very good bangla foods. A little bit expensive but worth it. Specially the Letka Khichuri with koyla beef is awesome. Smokey beef with excellent flavor will please you surely.

We chose the menu of Bengali food, although it is a little expensive, but I would say that there is a restaurant + cafe in Dhanmondi. Their beef and mutton were not good but the pulses and mixed vegetables were good.

food is extremely expensive compared to the quantity and quality.the mutton birani was awful and i didnt get one of the items i ordered through food panda...but i had to pay for it

They serve the best Bengali cuisine here in Dhaka. The location is at odds with the business prospect and their social media activity is practically non existent. The restaurant is all about zero marketing and quality food. Caveat: food can be a little pricey.
