Lilori Sthan, dedicated to Maa Kali, is one of the oldest and most well-known temples in the Katras region. It is around 22 kilometres from Dhanbad's main city, and devotees of Hinduism and other religions flock here to adore the goddess. Because the Goddess Lilori was the king's household divinity, the local king assisted in the construction of the temple over 800 years ago. The best time to visit Lilori Sthan, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India, is during the winter, which typically begins in October and ends in March. It is not much recommended that visitors visit the temple during the summer.

One of the best places to visit in Dhanbad. I keep going here and I have found peace just by worshiping here. Moreover, the mother never lets any devotee go empty handed. If you ask for some wish, it is fulfilled very soon. Nowadays the number of shops has increased, a park has also been made there. Don't forget to eat the famous Ghugni and Moodi after the puja. Hail Mother Lilori.

The Lilori Sthan is basically a temple where people come to worship Lilori Maa (Goddess Lilori). It is a place having peaceful environment and a holy essence. People visit this place in large numbers in order to worship Lilori Maa and to ask for a vow to fulfill their wishes. Other than the usual temple rituals, this temple is a favorite spot among the locals, to perform marriage ceremonies. The temple has a great view of the Katri river flowing alongside, which gives a distinct charm to this aesthetic place.(Taken from Google*)

Totally separate culture from North India. Sacrificial system (बली प्रथा) is most common in maximum Devi Ji's Temple. Instead of sacrificial system temples are very neat and clean. I don't think it is right to sacrifice innocent animals. All religions have to do with the geography there. Instead of giving sacrifice we should give food and cloths to poor people. My intention is not to hurt anyone I have sympathy for animals.

Maa Lilori Temple is the Kul Devi Temple of the King of Katrasgarh. It is a matter of that time when the king of Katrasgarh used to be Sujan Singh. It was Raja Sujan Singh who installed the idol of Mata in this dense forest of Katras 800 years ago with the help of a descendant of the royal family of Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. At that time this place used to be a dense forest.

Worst managed temple in this entire district dhanbad, totally not worth it, the pandits inside the mandir are complete morons, complete loot is going on inside the temple to go inside devi maa mandir for puja they charge ₹100 per person which will be complete waste, very very very bad management, I request to the administration to kindly take the control of this mandir in your hand so that the management can go well. They have made dharm into dhandha. This is the sad reality of most of our religious places. It would not have been so bad place if it would have came under the administration.
