Dantakali is famous among the Hindus as the place where the sacred teeth of the goddess Satidevi lie. "Danta" means teeth and "Kali" is a Hindu God. This is beautiful temple located at height after 2-3 km drive from Dharan city. It’s so beautiful Mandir. Needs to manage others things to make it attractive for the more devotees.

This temple is one of the most revered places in Dharan. The folklore says that it has the decayed tooth of mother Sati, when her body was being carried by lord Shiva. This temple is located uphill in the Dharan, one needs to park their vehicle and take a little walk uphill to reach here. There are all many shops around the temple to help you with all items being used for Puja. If you are going from nearby parts of India, it is advisable to take a coconut along with you as this would be expensive here. The temple is a very good place to visit and worship. Must Visit if you are in Dharan.

Auspicious place devoted to almighty deity Dant-kali. It is so called place of sati in memoir of her Dant (Teeth). At the altitude of about1600 feet, surrounding by natural beautiful hilly area makes it distinct. Nepali people as they are famous for their behaviour appears very helpful. At Navratra a large devotees join the PUJA here. May deity Dant- Kali bless all of us. Jay maa Kali. Jay Mata Di.

Dedicated to Shivaji’s first wife Satya Devi. When she died Shiva was was so heart broken that he carried her dead body on his shoulders which started to decay & her tooth fell on this beautiful hill. Special viewing is given by the holy priest but not always. It is considered to be another form of Durga so many goats are sacrificed on Bada Dasain.

Thousands of devotees come here to worship; mainly for first nine days of Dashain a great crowds of people can be seen. However amid COVID-19 the visitors are quite less.

According to a legend, after the passing of Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva carried her dead body on his shoulder and roamed for days. Decayed parts of the goddess' carcass fell at several locations. This location, where the Dantakali Temple is built, is believed to house the sacred teeth of Goddess Parvati. Hence the name, Dantakali wherein 'danta' means teeth and 'kali' signifies the Goddess.

Hindus religious place worshipped as 'shaktipith' of the divine goddess Shatyawati (Wife of God Shiva). Supposedly the ancient remains of jaws are preserved in the temple for prayers. The ancient holy shrine was renovated several times for ages.

A very old devi temple . It has its own importance .This place is named as Dantakali because Satidevi's teeth fell in this place. You can go with an auto or van or by walking. It will take around 10 minutes from Bhanu Chowk if you go with a vehicle or take around 30-40 minutes if you go by foot. You can choose to use stairs rather than going through the road.

A Hindu religious place where Hindu goddess Mahakali is worshipped. It is believed that this temple has a tooth of Mahakali inside the temple. There are a lot of restrictions inside the temple. You can not take pictures inside the temple. Saturday and Tuesday are said to be the best time to visit the temple.
