Very well managed temple. The idol is although placed very far. Goid place to visit with family and enjoy the day with the splash of cold water gushing from the mountains. There's also a lot of fun rides and food stalls to top off. A lot of hotels and restaurants surrounding the temple for travellers. Ample space for parking as well. Overall a very good experience.

It is hardly 6 kilometres from railway station Chamunda mandir ( Malan) . Train route from Pathankot also and from Joginder Nagar also. There is a lot of space for Car parking also. You can buy many things here and can also stay here. You can take a holy dip in baner river also. No

A lot of improvement can be seen in the infrastructure of the temple a new building and a new garden has been created which makes it more beautiful. The Queue area has been renovated fully which can hold a large crowd with ease. Which makes devotees wait time easier.

Can't explain the feeling of being there. You will definitely experience something different. River Ganga is flowing through this temple and there are several food points around the temple and hotels are also available just at the walking distance from the temple. Best place for people who love the soothing sound of river at night.

The temple witnesses regular crowd but the management is good and it won't take much time standing in the queue. Now it has been renovated and hence new gardens were built, also there are toilets, plenty of parking space just adjoining the temple.

Chamunda is an aspect of Devi, the supreme Mother Goddess. The name is a combination of Chanda and Munda, two terrifying monsters killed by Devi. The famous temple of Mata Chamunda is in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is around 10 km from Palampur, on the Baner river. Several years ago the king and a Brahmin priest prayed to Devi for permission to move the temple to some easily accessible location. Devi appeared to the priest in a dream giving her consent. She directed him to dig at a certain spot, an ancient idol would be found that should be installed in the temple and worshipped as Her form. The temple depicts scenes from the Devi Mahatmya, Ramayan and Mahabharata. The Devi's image is flanked by the images of Hanuman and Bhairon on either side. This famous Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham is an abode of Shiva Shakti since the saga of Puranas.

This is a holy place & a must visit temple in the region. The sound of the flowing river is peaceful. This place is crowded but there is hardly any waiting time. There is ample parking space available & washroom & cooler facility is available. There are local shops outside the temple. One can take a dip in the chilling cold river but must be careful as the flow is heavy. It takes around an hour max to explore this place.

Shakti peeth Shri Chamunda Devi Temple is a holy place for pilgrims situated on the bank of Baner River in District Kangra. It is about 20 kms from Palampur Bus stand and About 16 kms from Dharamshala bus stand. You can reach this temple by bus/private Taxi easily. On the Navratra special, lots of pilgrims came here for their Manokamna, which is fullfilled by Mata Rani. The view of Dhauladhar Mountains ⛰️ looks very beautiful.

Beautiful and calm place to get the inner peace, i always loved this type of holy place, as it has well settled space for the parking as well as proper arrangements for the crowd with social distancing in temple. Beautiful temple surrounded by dhauladhar hills with renovated by Dogra Regiment of Indian army & moving waterfall on the back side of temple.

This is a holy place & a must visit temple in the region. I recently visited this temple and I must say that it was a truly wonderful experience. The infrastructure of the temple is very well-maintained and clean, which is quite impressive. Another great feature of the temple is the river that flows through the campus, which adds to the overall beauty of the location. The sound of the flowing river is peaceful. This place is crowded but there is hardly any waiting time.

Temple of Chamunda Devi, an incarnation of Goddess Durga is located 19 km from Palampur town on Palampur- Dharamshala Road. This is one of the most famous temple in the area. I visited this after a gap of 30 years and found that now the infrastructure in and around the temple is excellent and very well-maintained and clean. A perennial river that flows through the Temple complex between the Shive Temple and Cremation ground, adds to the overall beauty of the location. This place is overcrowded especially on weekends and holidays when there are long queues of devotees which adds to the waiting time for darshan.

The Chamunda Temple, currently under construction, has undergone a remarkable transformation in the last 2 years. The entire site is a hive of construction activity, signifying a promising future. Although the ongoing work may cause some inconvenience, it's evident that the temple's new avatar will be worth the wait. Notably, Mondays see a distinct lack of crowds, offering a tranquil experience. The ambitious renovation project promises a bright future for this sacred site, with the potential to become a remarkable spiritual and architectural marvel once completed. It's an exciting time to witness this temple's rebirth and evolution.

The temple had in itself a unique significance. It was very huge with lots of open space for the tourists to sit there and relax. The temple is quite spacious and the police there is friendly too. The temple does not allow to click photos of Chamunda devi but you can take pictures of the main gate of the temple. The whole temple is marbelised and the floors are quite clean.

Goddess Chamunda in Hinduism is a very popular and powerful deity. This name represents the fiery aspect of Ma Durga manifested by Mother for annihilating the wicked forces from the face of this universe and to protect the virtuous and pious people. Representing the supreme goddess of the universe, Chamunda is a highly benevolent form blessing the devotees with all forms of wealth, happiness and prosperity. The name Chamunda ensues from the two demons Chanda and Munda who were killed by the Mother. 🙏

Shri Chamunda Devi Mandir also known as Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham is a temple dedicated to Shri Chamunda Devi, located at 19 km away from Palampur. Most peaceful place at the bank of the river. It is very beautiful temple. We can sit there to enjoy the postive vibes and peacefully enjoying the nature. It was really nice spiritual experience. Beautiful place in devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh to visit with family and friends . You can come here from Dharamshala Palampur and Kangra by train by bus Taxi or by your own vehicle there is a lot of space for Car parking . You can stay here in Dharamshala made by Chamunda mandir trust and outsiders also. Must visit this place to feel the positive vibes, sceneries, place, spiritual experience and beautiful nature 🥰🥰🥰

With aseem blessings of Mataji we will continue to pay our visit without miss on annual basis. One request that way to river on back side should not be obstructed as it is one of the livelness in temple space. Jai Mata di

The temple attracts travellers from all parts of India, not only because there are a lot of spiritual legends attached to it, but also because the temple is ancient and its architecture, although simple, has touches of traditional Himachali temple structures.

A very famous Temple of this region. We dropped by to seek the blessings of Mataji on our way to Bir. The temple premises are clean and well maintained. I had never seen a temple with such a big pool. There are many vendors outside the gate selling Prasad and flowers, you can buy the same and take it as an offering to the temple .

Chamunda Devi - correctly said , one of the awesome places of worship located in the lap of Dhauladhar. The maximum area that comes with in vicinity of Temple , is under construction as of now . But overall the place is very amazingly well to visit . Things that you can do in Chamunda Devi - 1. There is mini Tibetan market , you can see artifact's made my locals and purchase the same . 2. Do visit Uncle's softy , and try Ice cream shake (Rs.70) , one of the delicious shakes that you can ever have across India . ( Believe me , when I say it 🙂) 3. There is a local river bank tributary , you can take a dip or just sit between the river , and enjoy the refreshing sound of flowing water that will surely refreshen your soul.

One of temple of ma chamunda is on top of mountain dholadhar , a walk of approximately 20 km. Government aided the trekking with solar lights. Jai ma chamunda.

Situated on the banks of a river. Has huge premises and is kept very clean. There are paid washrooms in front of the temple entry. Need to get down a flight of stairs from entry gate to reach Chamunda Devi temple. After that, there is an open area with big pool of water on the left side, statues of Gods and Goddesses and a bridge that takes to other side of the river from where you can get to the river bank. On the right side, flight of stairs take you down to Lord Shiv temple.
