Mukti Hair and Beauty Salon was an amazing experience! Initially, I had some concerns, but once the massage began, I was completely relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is skilled, the ambiance is serene, and they truly excel in providing a rejuvenating experience. Highly recommended!

Mukti is a pro at whatever he does! I had gone especially on a friend's recommendation to get my hair colour done at his Salon. And as expected ..he did wonders to the hair plus other services like eyebrows and cleanup were superb too! He definitely is a perfectionist. Must visit salon if in Mcleodganj..You'll never regret!

Edit: Mukti gave me 500₹ back after I shared how unhappy I was with my experience. He stated that 1200₹ is the standard price for a haircut and that he did not scam me. That might be true, but it is still an extraordinary price for a haircut that bad. I had deleted my initial review after I got the money back. But since he keeps advertising his salon as a “pampering experience”, I really want to share how differently my experience was. I had reached out to Mukti because I have an outgrowing short hair cut and I wanted inspiration on how to make it look tidy while it grows long again. When I arrived at the salon, there was no inspiration. Instead I should just produce a photo with how I want it (ideally, shoulder length again but you cannot make this magically appear, hence my ask for inspiration!). Eventually we agreed that he would just cut off a centimetre to make it look clean again. The result is that my hair is the same length as 6 month ago. He cut off more than 5cm. It was clearly not what I asked for. During the haircut, I felt too scared to speak up. He kept commenting on the bad state of my hair; during the head massage, he had his phone in one hand while pressing onto my head with the other. Lastly, he ripped out the piercing in my ear during the process. It was definitely NOT pampering. Mukti charged me 1200₹. I feel ripped off, it is an extremely expensive haircut. He says that is the normal price (see above).

They are the best in the town. Got a haircut, a shave, Head massage and shampoo. They are true professionals. Friendly behavior and they do a perfect job. Comes with affordable price. Next time i travel to Mcleodganj i am getting a haircut again for sure.

I am travelling from South Africa where I have a hairdresser I have been going to for ten years because I don't generally trust anyone else with my super fine hair. A friend in McLeodGanj recommended Mukti so I thought I would give him a try since I will be travelling for another half a year. I am so happy with the result. Not only did I get a professional cut from someone who has been in the business for 17 years but I also got a head massage and a pampering facial. Mukti uses top notch products and goes the extra mile to make the whole experience worthwhile and worthy of recommending highly to anyone who in in the area.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE I saw the reviews and thought it would be a great salon.. i went there to have my hair cut and color.. I am sure the others reviews are all fake to attract customers. 1. COLOR DRIPPING ON SKIN AND CLOTHES: when they mixed the inoa loreal color, it was very liquid. I asked them about it but they said it's fine. While applying the color, it fell on me many times.. never earlier I have experienced such an amateur doing his job so badly.. During the waiting period the color constantly dripped on my forehead and neck. I constantly had to use tissue and cotton to rub them off.. as they are particularly not good for your skin and you require bleach to clean them off.. my white pants got some of it and I am not sure it will come off.. 2. HAIR STILL GRAY: After all that pathetic experience, I came home and took a shower, i could clearly see the hair was not properly colored.. the grays are still clearly visible.. I will have to color them again.. Wasted money and time 3. BAD SMELL IN THE CLEANING ROOM: The place where the wash off the color is just inches away from the toilet. It was smelling and could not bear to sit there.. I had no choice and just wanted to escape from that place.. 4. TOOK 1.5 HOURS TO GET FINISHED: the barber took unnecessarily high amount of time to cut my hair. He seemed like an amateur barber just started doing his job. 5. BAD BREATH: this was so painful throughout the entire experience. I could breath the foul smell from his breath constantly on me. Didnt do anything after i politely told him about it..

Mukti is a good hair stylist in the McLeod Ganj / Dharamshala area. It’s worth a visit here. I got my hair coloured, my eyes brows done & my face threading done - was great ! He also gives a facial as well and a really good massage. If your in this area - a trip to Mukti will definitely rejuvenate you ! Updated review from my most recent visit Nov 2023 : paid 4000 for basic root touch up & trim. Please before beginning ask the price first and make sure there is clarity. As a Google guide it is my duty to make sure you are all aware !

On my recent visit Mcledoganj, i visited the this salon. Staff is very professional and well behaved. They keep the salon very neat and clean. Price is also justified. Overall experience was great.

One of the best hair cut experiences I have had. The attention to detail from the barber Mukti is commendable. These days, such art of hair cut is long gone. Glad to see still some do it right!

The stylist Aniket was congenial and understood how I wanted my hair done. He also did his work with meticulousness, so make sure you have time. The background music at the saloon was peppy and the bass thump strong -- helped cull some of the drudgery of sitting for an hour. Total price for a haircut and beard trim was 300 -- not economical, but not overly pricey either.

Best saloon in whole Mcleodganj. I highly recommend Mr.Mukti and his team.He is pure hearted person and is very professional for his work. I want to give him my best wishes for his future.

Mukti is an eyebrow threading wizard. I am extremely picky but after months of traveling it was time to get help. He did an amazing job!!!! Both Mukti and Aniket also do a nice wash and blow dry. You can tell they take pride in their work here. Looking forward to returning.
