Stranger to find overall 4.9 rating for this hotel…its not even worth 1 star Ambience is very dull (Dont go by the photos on google) I had booked a Deluxe room for my family and it seems that i entered a government hospital. Room provided to me was next to staff urinal, so it either had phenyl or ammonia smell Rooms - Not upto the standards, TV not working properly, Tap water murky Staff - Totally unaware of what’s happening in hotel, i asked for mineral water and he wasnt even aware if the hotel has bottles. Food - Food not that great, i ordered food and it was ready after 2 hours, so i personally went to check in the kitchen and to my shock the cook replied that the hotel owner has instructed him to serve him food first and than the guest Cook - only one cook to cater the entire hotel, room service were helping him. even after instruction of not to make food spicy, he did the same and my child had to survive on maggie Overall - I would give minus rating for this hotel pls pls pls dont book this hotel if u wanna enjoy ur vacation..

Stayed here with my friends for a week on the 3rd floor and the hospitality was warm and extremely fulfilling. Views from the balcony were breathtaking, enough to make you forget all your woes. The food is amazing as well, makes you feel like home. Would definitely come back here next time ❤️

Good place to stay, comfortable and clean rooms. Hospitality of the owner Krishna Sood and the staff is really nice. The food is also delicious. Good suggest for your stay in McLeodganj

The location was very good considering the view and shortcut towards the main mcleodganj market. The room and washroom were huge and very clean. The owner was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Foods served by them were also good. The only thing I didn't like is that they (the staffs) didn't provide food and warm water when asked and the driver was left with no choice in a rainy cold night but to sleep hungry all night.

Awesome stay! The staff treated us like their own family and catered personally to all our needs. The location is very close to Dalai Lama temple and main market. Perfect spot for a traveller. I am so happy I stayed here. Also celebrated Holi with the Krishna uncle (owner) and his family!

Location: Excellent Hospitality: Too Good Food: Delicious If anyone is travelling to Mcleodganj they should stay here at least for a night. The stay is very well connected to the market and Kishan ji is a gem of a person.

Stay was extraordinary...! Krishan, the owner of cottage is very respectful, polite and friendly. The view of Himalayas which we get from windows of this cottage is just next level, shines of the morning in the room is just wah..! Amenities are also very good. I got happy experience in this, just go for it . 😊😊

Awesome host and amazing place to stay, not run like conventional businesses but with compassion and understanding. Our 3 day stay here was amazing, the food was also delicious and affordable! Thank you mr. Krishn , and we definitely look forward to visiting again! The staff was extremely courteous and polite too!

It was amazing experience during the welcome in hotel. We were treated like a family member. Owner of this hotel(Mr.Krishna) is really amazing to welcome us. Food was also excellent like home made food. Everyone should stay over here. Cleanyness and room service is really good. No doubt of giving 5 star.

I had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Starwud Kottage. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Mcleodganj. Took advantage of its location to sit in the balcony and enjoy the striking beauty of nature. It was great. I believe the hotel provides everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out.

The most clean and safe place for our family. View from rooms is stunning. They follow all covid precautions. I have to say this was our best stay in the whole tour. Food is like home. So delicious that made us feel at home. The owners are cheerful and caring. The staff is polite. Humble and always ready to help. We will always come back here and tell all our family and friends to stop theirs search and just come to Started kotagge. I have already told our tour operator to book this hotel for next group.
