Food is absolutely delicious, atmosphere is cozy, the only thing that let's down this restaurant is that it has the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. I am not kidding. The wait staff are TERRIBLE. Not only do they not smile, they're not even remotely friendly either. And when they're busy looking like they'd rather be ANYWHERE else they'll ignore you every time you try to get their attention. Like actually look you in the eye and just keep walking. My friend actually joked while we were there "don't piss them off or they'll spit in your food". Which almost seemed likely. Are the managers beating them in the kitchen??? Why do they seem so miserable??? Where I come from you're greeted with a smile and wait staff are joyful and friendly. It's customer service, so it's part of the job to make people feel WELCOME. Sadly this just seems to be a theme in McLeod Ganj. No one looks happy to be working in hospo.

One of the iconic restaurant in MacLeod Ganj. Basically Tibetan food specialist. Food quality is no doubt very good. Staff is very warm and prompt. Service was also very quick. The washroom was clean. They have 3 floors of seating. You can seat anywhere to order and enjoy your dilicious food.

Great food at great prices! Every dish we ordered here was fantastic: kung pao chicken, fried momos, tenduri Momo's, chicken chow mein, spicy hot and sour soup, and paneer. The drinks were all great as well: lemon soda, iced coffee, lemon ginger tea. The service was incredibly helpful and friendly. We sat on the second floor by the windows, and had a great view of the town square. I would highly recommend this place!

Tibet Kitchen is centrally located in Mcloedganj just opposite to Mcllo restaurant. The food here is absolutely Divine and their Tibetan Dishes are a must try! I tried the Veg Momos , Veg Thenthuk and Ginger Lemon Tea. All the items were extremely yum and the preparation is just fresh. They serve many cuisines along, so easily can also go for a Multicuisine option. The owner and staff is sweet and courteous and would also help you with recommendations, if needed. Definitely try the momos, they are heavenly. The pricing is moderately priced and the food is absolutely worth the penny. A must visit restaurant for your trip to McLoedganj.

The food was average in taste which was disappointing as tibetian dishes are very flavourful. The tingmo was decent, fried momos were bland and the noodles were extremely salty that it couldn't be eaten. The service was horrible, you gotta call for the server repeatedly just to take an order or get your billing done. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutely in love with every aspect of the restaurant. The portion, the taste, the service and the price everything on point. We ordered fry thenthuk and thukpa. Taste wise very good. Cannot comment on the authenticity of Tibet food but it was tasty and something different from our daily orders. And when we received the bill we were shocked to see such less price. Highly recommend place.

One of the best in Maclodganj, try Momos, Thupka and other Tibetan cuisine here. Ambience is very traditional and service is also very good, they have both indoor and outdoor sitting available. The price is quite on the upper side but the quantity and taste justifies it. The place is usually crowded.

It is one of the famous places in Mcleodganj, and it proves in terms of their food and taste. I found their staff rude, yes…they weren’t even paying attention to us as we asked them to take our orders. We there to have dinner, but end up eating only Momos which was tasty…Please train your employees and make them to be polite with the customers. I won’t visit again…never…

Known as one of the best restaurant for Tibetan food, the restaurant boast of some authentic Tibetan cuisine apart from other cuisines. Tried the Tibetan thali, it was good. The food quality is fine and taste good. Price is a bit on the higher side. Overall a nice experience.

Delicious food. Must visit for Tibetan and Asian Cuisine and they make the best Boba Tea as well. Superb experience in the hustle of streets at McLeod Ganj.

Recently had dinner there and thinking of going back to indulge in more Tibetan food before I leave! There can be a 10-20 min wait but it's very much worth it. We shared the thentuk noodles, cheese & veg Momo's and fried greens (garlicky Bok Choi) and all was excellent. Service was quick for the amount of guests they have and the place is very clean. They have both chair seating or floor seating if you're interested, and the top floor is a better atmosphere than the first floor I found, further away from the street commotion.

We happened to choose this place for our dinner based on the ratings. Unfortunately vegetarian dishes were not so great. We had flat noodle thukpa (thenthuk) , petse fry which were ok. Ginger lemon honey drink was good. The place is also a bit dark ambience.

Visited this presumably popular restaurant with family and friends during our recent trip to McLeod Ganj. Our overall experience was below expectations, with ordinary food. The washroom was stinking and needed to be cleaned and maintained regularly

We had a late lunch, I must say, the ambience is lovely and the food is very, very good. If you are here, you must try the tandoori chicken momos, the thukpa (veg/chicken). Do not miss the Tibetan thali, we had the chicken thali, chili chicken in the thali was to die for, so was everything else! So good! Also, do not miss the Boba tea. We had the matcha boba tea and it was awesome. Do visit! The service is quick and the staff is polite. Thank you for having us, Tibet kitchen. Will definitely visit again.

Centrally located and one of the good restaurants in the market. Food was good. The only thing that needs to improve was Veg momos. Chiken dishes were ok. Some items in the menu are not available. But definitely a must visit when in the town.

Fell in love with Tibetan food after visiting this place. My favourite was thenthuk both soupy and fried . Simply superb. Also tried the tibetan thali the bread and curry that they served it with was the best. The special thupka is also highly recommended. Finish your meal with their japanese cake or a bubble tea

If you visit McLeod Ganj, you must visit this popular place for Thai and Tibetan food. When I visited, it was very crowded. After waiting for 10 minutes, we got our seats. During rush hours, it can take some time to get a table and for the food to arrive, but it's worth the wait. We ordered the Thai thali, Manchow soup, and fried rice. The quality and quantity were excellent. I loved the Thai thali, which included food items I had never tasted before. If you want to try something unique, this is the right place. The thali included momos, noodles, some kind of bread, and soup. Everything was awesome. This place serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The seating arrangement includes both traditional Indian seating and table and chair options. It's a nice, cozy place where you can enjoy a meal with your family and friends.

Being a South African, I am familiar with Indian food and I love the curry. I had sampled a good variety of curry in various restaurants in New Dehli all the way from local corner store to the ones with three dollar signs. Until I found Tibet Kitchen...what??? A Tibetan restaurant in Dharamshala for Indian curry!? Yes, you read correctly! They serve one of the best Indian food. I kept on coming back to this restaurant and tasted varieties of other food on the menu. They do not disappoint! I read other reviews about their poor services, it is because they are really busy. Even so, I didn't find that an issue, just raise your hand and they will gladly assist with your request. I had also posted the latest menu for your reference. It's just a few pages of the menu "book". I hope you will enjoy this restaurant as I did.

Nestled in the heart of McLeodganj market, this place gives you an authentic experience of Tibetan and Bhutanese cuisine alongwith mainstream Indian and Continental choices. The quantity is enough for one and the prices are pocket-friendly. Also, has a great view of the market.

We literally enjoyed the food at this place. Ordered items: 1. Veg thukpa 2. Veg momos 3. Non veg thukpa 4. Non veg momos 5. Fry thenthuk Rating per food Veg/NonVeg thukpa - the taste was very authentic seems like you are having the thukpa in their state. Taste rating is 4.8 Veg momos - momos are very delicious and their filling was very yummy as it has taste of cheese inside it. Taste rating - 4.7 Non veg momos - the chicken inside it is too fresh and juicy. Honestly I didn’t had this much yummy non veg momos ever in my life. Taste rating - 5 😋 Fry thenthuk - I had it for the very first time and I like it’s taste and I felt good after having it. Taste rating - 4

This Tibetan restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes, with a menu that’s sure to satisfy any craving. I tried the Tibetan thali, fried rice, and pork chilly—everything was delicious! The food is definitely the highlight. However, the staff is rude, service was a bit slow, and the ramen didn’t meet expectations. It’s a bit on the costly side, but overall, it’s a great spot for authentic Tibetan cuisine.

Thank god I visited this cafe otherwise I would have missed a big thing.. they are multi storey building and severs authentic Tibetan and Bhutanese 🇧🇹 dishes.. and it’s so reasonable. I love this cafe for the ambiance and food. I would eat everything on menu if I had stayed for 5-7 days just here. The washroom is compact for tall people 😅😅

My experience at Tibet Kitchen was beyond disappointing. If I could rate it 0/5, I absolutely would. The service was rude and unwelcoming. The food was terrible. The momo covering was super thick, making them almost inedible, and the Thukpa broth was completely tasteless. To top it all off, we found hair in the Thukpa, which was disgusting and unacceptable. We were extremely hungry but ended up leaving the restaurant because of how bad everything was. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

They generally have a waiting queue for dining. That should explain how famous this place is. Says without going that it's one of the best Tibetan restaurants in the main area plus they have the traditional Tibetan sitting area.

I visited this place twice in 2 days. I order Tibetian Thali (Veg and Chicken), brownie, Pad Thai and veg crispy honey chilly. Tibetian Thali : I liked it. I loved veg over chicken. Brownie: one of the amazing brownie you will ever taste. Pad Thai: not so great. It was very average and I didn’t like it. Veg Crispy: We enjoyed it. Ambience is great and service is quick. The only disappointment was the person at the reception; I felt the person was rude.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tibet Kitchen in McLeod Ganj, and I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. The restaurant is located on Mall Road, which makes it easily accessible for tourists and locals alike. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with traditional Tibetan decor and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious! We tried the veg thupka and cheese momos, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. The only downside to our experience was the slow service. We had to wait for 10-15 minutes to place our order, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy at that time. However, once our food arrived, it was worth the wait. Overall, I would highly recommend Tibet Kitchen to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Tibetan meal in McLeod Ganj. Just be prepared to wait a bit for your food."

Nice place to get Tibetan food. Wasn't very crowded during lunchtime on a Saturday. We got the Thukpa, Mokthuk and Chilly Garlic Noodles. Good food but didn't particularly stand out. They didn't have the basic steamed momos, only had the cheese momos which weren't amazing. Service was a bit slow. The food was quite well-priced for it's quantity and quality.

Let me tell you that you have to try their Tibetian Thali and Momos for an authentic Tibetian cuisine experience. We didn’t get to eat anything more otherwise would have tried more it their dishes. Thukpa can be bland for some but it’s meant to be like that and is very healthy.

The quality and quantity of the food were excellent. I especially came here for their famous Tibetan Thali, I ordered the Non-Veg Tibetan Thali, which featured unique dishes I hadn’t tried before. It included momos, noodles, mutton shapta, tingmo (a type of bread), and ema datshi (a type of soup). Everything was delicious. This restaurant offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Restuarant is crowded in their peak hours although we got the seat without waiting, service is good and well behaved staff. It’s widely considered one of the best Tibetan restaurants in the main market of McLeod Ganj and also has traditional Tibetan seating.

Tibet Kitchen is a must-visit if you’re in McLeodganj, especially for those who love exploring authentic Tibetan cuisine. I had the Tigmo Bread, Ema Datshi, Thukpa and Indian Masala Tea, and I must say, it was an experience to savor! The Tigmo Bread was soft, fluffy, and perfect for soaking up the rich flavors of Ema Datshi—a delightful and spicy stew made with chilies and cheese. For those who aren’t familiar, Ema Datshi is a traditional dish from Bhutan, but its influence is deeply felt in Tibetan cuisine as well. It’s a hearty comfort food that highlights the simplicity and warmth of Himalayan flavors. Pairing all this with a cup of freshly brewed Indian Masala Tea was the perfect way to round off the meal. Tibetan cuisine has a rich history, shaped by the region’s high-altitude climate and Buddhist culture. It’s a cuisine that prioritizes warmth, nourishment, and sustainability. Staples like momos, thukpa, and dishes like Ema Datshi reflect the use of simple ingredients, yet they pack bold flavors that stay with you long after the meal. The ambiance of Tibet Kitchen is casual yet cozy, with a hint of Himalayan charm. The staff is warm and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a fan of Tibetan food or new to it, this place will leave you impressed. Highly recommended!

Hands down the best meal we have had in McLeod Ganj/Dharamshala. We ordered a bunch of Tibetan dishes to share for the table - Fry Thentuk (sort of like the Thai Pad Kemau), Mokthuk (dumpling soup), Shapta (Lamb stir fry) and the cloud-like, fluffy Tingmo bread. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the portions were huge! Definitely coming back here again!!

One of the best restaurant in McLeod Ganj FOOD - Me and my friends had Tibetan Thali, mutton, momos, chicken Thukpa, and few more dishes, and needless to say all the dishes were delicious and flavourful. AMBIENCE- the place has the vibe to drive your cravings unless your food arrives. It has two floors and the upper floor has an outdoor seating. SERVICE AND STAFF -Apart from food and ambience, service and the staff is also prompt and proactive respectively. ** if you are travelling to Mcleodganj , then make sure this restaurant is on your food list.

This is an establishment in McLeod Ganj. It is popular among visitors to this area. It is centrally located, near the town square. It is great place to have a meal and take a break from the hussle and bustle outisde. Their interior is clean and nicely designed. Their food is nice and the good things is that the prices are also reasonable. The only downside is that you need to climb some stairs.

Authentic Tibetan food. We ordered fried Thentuk and tandoori veggie momos. Momos had cheese and my friend didn’t like it so much. Fried veggie sambha also had cheese and she didn’t like it either because both veggie dishes used the same filling.

Probably one of the best meals we have had in the longest time! Do yourself a favor and order from the Tibetan menu only. We had the fry thentuk (it's like pad kemau), Mothuk (momo soup), shapta(lamb chops) and tingmo(bread). The lamb was tender and extremely flavorful. Went really well with the bread. The momos in the Mothuk had the right mix of crunch and softness and the broth itself was divine. As a bonus for the kids they also have bubble tea. This is truly a hidden gem and I cannot recommend this place enough!

We enjoyed the food to a mild extent, not more. The shabaleb (large fried momos) were good, the pork chilly was mostly composed of pig fat slices and didn’t taste any different than chicken. Tigmo bread was a little dry. And the peach beer tasted like medicine. The cheesecake was good and at a budget price. The restaurant is right on the main town square, and experiences enough footfall.

Got the opportunity to visit this restaurant , and while the whole experience was mostly enjoyable, there were a few areas for improvement. Starting with the positives, the food was absolutely delicious and worth the wait. The ambiance too was welcoming, However, the service left a little to be desired. Although the staff was polite, the food took quite a while to arrive, which slightly dampened the experience. But, I would still recommend it for the quality of the food.
