Tsuglagkhang Complex also known as Dalai Lama Temple is situated at the end of McLoedganj's Market. It's a beautiful, calming and serene place which will surely want you to stay there for long. The temple premises is kept incredibly clean and discipline is also followed along. If you visit early morning around 8- 8:30 , you might even get a chance to see the morning prayer being offered by monks which again is a beautiful experience. The temple complex also has souvenirs shops and Tibet Museum where you could buy, watch and even see a free screening on Tibetan Life and struggles. The complex is also the home of His Holiness but the chance for his glimpse is extremely rare. When visiting McLoedganj, the Tsuglagkhang complex is something you don't want to miss.

Very quiet and calm place for meditation, can spend hours sitting here. Great view of mountains and valley, can even see Dharamshala Skyway cabins floating by. Very well maintained and clean premises. At a walkable distance from McLeod Ganj Chowk with lot of eateries and other shops on both sides of the road. A must visit while being in Dharamshala.

Namgyal Monastery (Tibetan: རྣམ་རྒྱལ།, Wylie: rnam rgyal) (also often referred to as "Dalai Lama's Temple") is currently located in Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala, India. It is the personal monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama. Another name for this temple-complex is Namgyal Tantric College. This monastery key role is to assist with rituals involving the Dalai Lama of Tibet. Its main tantric practices reportedly include those of Kalachakra, Yamantaka, Chakrasamvara, Guhyasamaja, and Vajrakilaya.

The complex is huge, but does not represent anything vernacular about the Tibetan architecture. Most of the construction is so raw and concrete that it is in stark contrast to the Tibetan ambience seen in typical monasteries

Tsuglagkhang complex Dalai Lama is located in McLeod ganj(Dharamshala), which is a pure devine beauty with eternal peace lying in the lap of the hills. It is a paradise for Buddhists and for common people too.It is must place to visit if you are in Mcloidganj.

Visiting this serene place offers a profound sense of peace and tranquility. Watching the monks engage in their daily prayers fills the atmosphere with a calming energy. Taking a leisurely walk around the exterior of the complex is a truly enchanting experience. The beauty of the surroundings, adorned with prayer wheels along the path, adds to the spiritual ambiance. Each turn of the prayer wheel symbolizes a devout wish or prayer, creating a rhythmic harmony with the surroundings. Amidst the quietude, one can't help but feel a deep connection to the spirituality and history of the place. It's a sanctuary where time seems to slow down, allowing visitors to immerse themselves fully in the moment and find solace in the presence of ancient traditions.

The temple of Mahatma Budha is a tremendous sight to behold. It is a wonderful sight to see. All the people who come here and from Bodhidharma, they keep coming here. Apart from this, the general public also keeps coming here. It is a very amazing temple to see and coming here gives peace and relaxation. Very relaxed, very relaxed, a lot.

I had visited during morning time. The area of the temple is huge. Namgyal Monastery also called Dalailama Temple. There are Institute, admistration office and residence of Dalai lama, library adjacent of temple. This place is very calm. There is no entry fees. This temple is just one minute walking distance from Dharamsala skyway/ropeway.

If you are in Mcleodganj looking for a place which can calm your mind then look o further. This is a not just a place of residence for Dalai Lama but a Tibetan Temple sharing the beautiful culture. If you are in the main market then you can walk to the temple. It is situated closer to the Trolley place. Within the temple, you can light up the diya after donating a small amount which varies depending on Diya’s size. One should spend time here if looking for meditation and calm mind. Must Visit

This is the temple complex & office building of his holiness Dalai Lama. Entrance is free. Walk for 100 meters & then take stairs to the first floor. There are 2 different meditation / prayer areas where everyone is allowed. Quite close by to Mcloedganj ropeway. Better to walk if you are staying nearby.

The complex was beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately people didn't adhere to silence as requested on the signage. There were beautiful views around the area. I bought a lovely vase in one of the stores in the complex as a memento.

[""I visited the Tsuglagkhang Complex, home to the Dalai Lama Temple, and found it to be a serene and beautiful oasis. Although signs requested silence, unfortunately, some visitors didn't respect this. Nonetheless, the complex offered stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. I enjoyed exploring the surrounding stores and purchased a lovely vase as a memento. The temple's architecture and surroundings are truly captivating. Despite the noise, I still found the experience to be enriching and spiritually uplifting. A must-visit for those seeking tranquility and a glimpse into Tibetan culture." 🐉✨",null,[0,233]]
