No one picks up the call No one reply to emails and we are not allowed to approach the embassy directly for visa related questions I have submitted two documents at Chinese Embassy for attestation on March 17th 2020 and I have not received the documents yet. It's been almost 5 months now. I contacted VFS today and they said documents have not come back from Chinese embassy yet. Please let me know the status of my documents. I had called regarding my friend (Indian National) who is panicking because his student visa is expiring in July and his results are coming out in September and we needed to know what to do next as he is in India at the moment. He has done his MBBS. The lady who picked up did not listen to what I was saying and said that I needed to contact china and not her, and she hung up on me after saying this very rudely. I called her back trying explain the situation and asked her for her name, this time she gave me consular visa service no and even though I asked for her name she hung up. My question is if someone is in urgent need of assistance like this, is this how you treat a person calling for help? Do you just hang up without even listening to what I am saying? she didn't even hear me out? I am highly disappointed at the kind of reception I have received from this person. As someone who is representing a country, they need to be polite and forthcoming and if they don't have it, politely put me through to who has.

I called Chinese embassy to remove some of my doubts relating to my visa. It was 10 in the morning and a very unprofessional and an ill-mannered voice from the other end ruined my whole day. My suggestion to embassy guys is - please give few lessons to your people regarding how to deal with phone calls professionally.

Message to the Chinese Ambassador to India: I recently applied for a tourist visa at the Chinese visa processing centre at Saket, New Delhi under the express category. I'd filed my application on Sept. 1st, 2016, assuming that I'll get my visa stamped on my passport on Sept. 2nd, 2016. After visiting the VFS centre for the last 3 days, I was informed that my application is on hold (I really don't know what that means!) and finally I'd to withdraw my application as I'd to apply for my Schengen visa as well. In the meantime, there were no messages being passed on by the VFS staff about my visa status beside the fact that as a norm you don't inform the candidate either via SMS or email. I finally withdrew my application today (Sept. 7th, 2016) with a clear understanding that I'll not pay for the non-receipt of any kind of service. Honestly, this has left a very negative experience in my mind and I wish that I've never to travel to China professionally or for leisure. In the 21st century, one expects a far superior kind of service especially if one's paying for it!! Is that too much to expect from your embassy staff?

Staff in the Embassy consular department are nice and hardworking, dedicated themselves to assisting people in both China and India. Please distinguish them from other sevice men who are not from the Embassy.
