Probably the best play ground in Hooghly. It is located in Dankuni, about 5 minutes walk from Dankuni railway station. It is eleven sided ground. There is also a pitch for cricket. The field is covered with soft green grass, surrounded by trees. It is well maintained by the owner Dankuni Sporting Club. The field is surrounded by a four feet wall and over it three feet iron fence. The club provides football and cricket coaching in very cheap cost. So many children and adults come here for practice in morning and afternoon. The club organises so many cultural programmes. Every year Milan Mela and Book Fair are held here in December. We were on our way to Garalgacha jamidar Bari on our two wheeler, coming from Kolkata via NH 16. It is when we just crossed the Dankuni railway flyover on our right side we saw the huge Durga Pujo Pandal, was so big that we almost made our mind to garage our bike and make it a visit. But due to our tight schedule we had to continue our journey as later we had to travel towards Kalyani.
