It's a nice and quiet place also their food is very good

It is still exceptionally well kept inside but the outdoors need just a little bit of care to bring it back to its former glory.but overall I enjoyed my day there.

All is great except for movies. They would not allow my son 8 year old to watch Ant Man movie because it was PG 13 although my wife and I would be thee to supervise

Only visited the movies. Walked through the casino. The establishment is very well run. Security at the entrance is in the back. Love the movies at gold reef. You get to sit anywhere you like in the theater. They have a nice arcade and a bowling alley here as well. There are quite a few food establishments available including a milky lane 👌 Makes for a great outing.

9 to 11 June 2023,there was no water in the rooms, not sure if it was only for that weekend or. And neither was it printed on the information print outs we received upon checking in. To make it worse, we only got bottled water on the 1st day. Secondly, it was my 1st time there and we arrived around 6pm, it was already dark. There is no demarcation stating where residents park, got dizzy driving up and down upon directions from different security guys. The good thing was, the res parking looks very secure.

This review is for Gold Reef City as a whole. Not so great. I had a terriible experience with young boys playing pranks tapping you on your shoulder showing you something siting there that looks like a big bug. As a person with a huge fobia for bugs it was a terrible experience, I think I even pulled a muscle in my neck. They even took photos of me frantic about the bug on my shoulder. They don't have the right to take pictures of anyone without their consent. I really don't think that was a joke. The security guard next to us did nothing, did not even attempt to call the boys to order or to hold them responsible for their acts. Such elements needs to be removed from any entertainment/shopping facility. Thank you for your reply. I am a ferm believer of making things better, that is why I wrote the review. This review also served to make you aware of such incidences that can affect your establishment in a bad light, today it's "pranks" deemed innocent by them, what will it be tomorrow.

I'm not really a Casino person, but it's hardly busy on Sundays and the people there are extremely warm. 🔥

Found panties in our room behind the curtains, this cannot be a 4 star hotel.

The free tickets to the theme park were an awesome treat!!! Try the Executive suites (good prices and perfect for adults with kids - separate rooms)

This is a must for any family. The kids enjoyed it so much. The food is amazing and you get to wander around Gold Reef at night taking the most beautiful pictures.

Great place to have a relax day. Drinks, gambling and a lot of fun option to choose from. Also wonderful spots to take pics

Really didn't enjoy my stay here, firstly towels where not put in our room so had to request. Secondly the mirrors in the bathroom where disgustingly dirty when we checked in, we couldn't shower as the hot and cold water don't work together and the DSTV channels don't all work, some have sound and some are frozen and when i asked room service to sort it out they didn't and didn't get back to me either with any solution. Very unprofessional. The couple good points is the Reception was very friendly and the restaurant for breakfast was fantastic. I paid a lot of money to stay here and won't do it again

Awesome family stay. Went there this weekend for my daughters birthday, such a great place, so much to do and the staff is top notch. Best customer service!! They even sent a birthday cake to the room. Thank you guys so much for making the weekend special

It has a nice old fashioned style. The staff is friendly in assisting with questions. The room itself was a nice big room with beautiful old massive furniture inside. The bathroom had a bathtub and a shower. The toilet paper is hanging in a bad spot though so you have to reach behind you basically. Also no toilet brush to clean it yourself. The room had a balcony with a good view. The breakfast buffet is in the Themepark Hotel. It only has a la Carte in this one. There's a shuttle that can take you to the other one but the waiting time is long. They told us we should tell them around 15 minutes before we wanna go but it does take longer. We waited over half an hour the one day and then decided to go a la carte which was okay but not as good. The other day they told us there's already people waiting and we have to wait approximately half an hour for the next shuttle for us.

The que just to get an armband is really ridiculous. Plus it takes them anywhere from 3 minutes to 6 minutes per customer. So the wait in que is easily 45 minutes plus. So frustrating. Then their machines are incredibly stingy with payouts.

Visiting Gold Reef with my mom in law. We went to see what changed since the Covid protocols have been introduced. We each had an ice cream with a flake.

Extremely overpriced for the quality of service and general attitude. Ninety percent of staff are rude and show a clear lack of respect and interest for the guests' needs. Room service is herendous. Breakfast, which is included, is disgusting although the Theme Park Hotel breakfast buffet is relatively good. Do not waste your money and rather book a room at the Theme Park Hotel. They were unable to give us extra towels, reason being that there were no towels left. 2 star posing as a 4 star hotel.

This place is no longer fun or entertaining , in order to play on the machines you have to que for an hour and on top of it all the machines if not played have cards in them that are not occupied and the staff couldn't be bothered about it. They take alot of precaution for gambling but the children are running around freely and unmasked in the arcade which makes no sense, seems like gold reef just wants our hard earned money and not even bothered about our children's safety. I definitely will not be going back anytime soon until all restrictions have been lifted.
