---FABULOUS
HOTEL
IN
JOHANNESBURG!
---We
recently
stayed
3
nights
at
The
Saxon
Hotel.
---The
hotel
is
in
a
beautiful
suburb
and
it
is
gorgeous
with
amazing
African
Artifacts
throughout
the
hotel.
---The
entry
level
rooms
are
860
square
feet
and
are
furnished
in
a
lovely
décor
including
a
huge
soaking
tub,
balcony,
separate
shower,
spacious
living
area
and
lots
of
closet
space.
---The
grounds
of
the
hotel
have
exquisite
gardens
and
it
is
nice
to
stroll
around.
---Nelson
Mandela
stayed
at
the
hotel
when
writing
his
autobiography.
---We
ate
all
our
dinners
in
the
hotel
restaurant
with
live
music
and
a
great
atmosphere.
The
food
was
outstanding,
creative
and
of
the
highest
quality.
Thank
you
to
our
wonderful
waiter
Philani
who
provided
us
with
attentive
service
and
to
Lindsey
who
made
us
delicious
cocktails.
Enjoyed
meeting
F
&
B
director-
Ashwin.
---The
a
la
carte
breakfast
was
also
wonderful.
Thanks
to
our
servers-
Onias
and
Elekune.
---Johannesburg
is
a
very
interesting
city.
Be
sure
to
allow
yourself
time
to
visit
it.
We
spent
one
day
with
a
fabulous
guide
who
explained
all
about
the
city
and
also
took
us
to
two
townships.
It
was
truly
a
highlight
to
see
how
the
people
live
in
the
townships.
We
went
inside
their
homes,
had
a
performance
by
drummers
and
singers
and
saw
the
everyday
life
there.
We
found
the
people
so
friendly
and
happy.
We
then
ended
our
tour
at
the
Apartheid
Museum
which
is
a
must
see.
---If
you
are
there
on
a
Sunday
be
sure
not
to
miss
the
Rosebank
Sunday
Market-
it
was
fantastic
and
huge!
Every
day
the
Rosebank
Arts
&
Craft
Market
is
open
where
we
bought
some
wooden
African
masks.
Both
are
nearby
each
other
and
are
only
13
minutes
from
the
hotel.
It
is
very
safe
to
take
Uber
Black
and
very
reasonable.
---The
Spa
at
the
hotel
is
fantastic!
We
had
facials
and
massages.
Thanks
to
Felicia
and
Faith
who
were
exceptional.
Also
thank
you
to
Thulia
(Spa
Reception)
and
Tanya
(Spa
Manager)
---Housekeeping
cleaned
our
room
to
perfection
twice
a
day.
---All
the
staff
had
great
attitudes.
--The
hotel
gave
us
lovely
treats
in
our
room
every
day.
---The
General
Manager-
George
Cohen
surely
knows
how
to
run
a
magnificent
hotel.
---If
you
are
looking
for
the
best
hotel
in
Johannesburg
with
beautiful
accommodations,
great
service
and
delicious
food
than
The
Saxon
should
be
your
only
choice.
---There
is
a
reason
it
won
an
Award
for
Africa’s
leading
boutique
hotel.
