Nice and cozy restaurant at the top of the square in Clarens. Was nice and warm when we entered and got seated. Drinks came timeously. Our waitress Patricia was very helpful and a joy to serve us. We had the 500g ribeye on the bone, marrow bone, burger and wings. The craft beer on tap is a must! Great experience and great food!

Had breakfast here twice. Very nice. The waitresses are really nice and the food is good and fast. The muffin that comes with the eggs benedict is not good, rather replace with ciabata. Coffee is amazing! Highly recommend.

Had a good breakfast here. Service was pretty slow, but it was a busy weekend. The portions are massive and the food is of good quality. Breakfast mimosas are a bonus! Will be back again.

We had a late breakfast and tried 3 different dishes, which were all very tasty. The service could have been better, but the food made up for that. The prices were not bad, overall I enjoyed the meal.

We curiously walked past the bustling little corner restaurant. Neat and light, the place had the feel of finer dining with elements of country charm ghat drew us in. It was a busy packed evening, yet the service and food was surprisingly fast churning out meals, cocktails and milkshakes at a steady rate. We had the melt in the mouth rump steak with pepper sauce and added a gorgeous blooming onion on the side. Well worth popping into.

As we arrived in the morning for breakfast, we were the second couple in the restaurant. No other costumers. Approximately 4-5 waiters there at the same time , but after the other couple left and it was only us, it became even harder to grab the waiters attention 🙈 Nevertheless they were all friendly! Breakfast was okay…but, I’d definitely come back for their cappuccino! We’ve tried a lot in Clarens - here we finally had a super delicious and perfectly made cappuccino! Our favorite 😍

Our waitor was bubbly and hospitable, knowledgeable of both beers and the food menu. Service was really good. The eating experience was fantastic. Food was deliciously prepared and yum. Their bottled beer selection is pretty good, I was pleasantly surprised. Inside and out is neat, clean and well lit. Would recommend!

MY NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT!!!! Firstly the restaurant exterior is absolutely aesthetically stunning, it’s what drew my sister and I to the restaurant. The service we received (our waitress’s name is Patricia) was warm, genuine and sincere. The atmosphere inside the restaurant has a homey feel to it. It’s not chaotic instead it’s very welcoming, light and so breathtaking. The food I put a picture below and it was so good. You always eat with your eyes first and trust me I didn’t even want to eat because I didn’t want to ruin the plating. The waffles are amazing and fresh and the fruit added to the freshness. The condiments that came with the waffles are a 11/10 and were really good. Not overly sweet but the right amount of sweetness to keep you wanting more. If you’re in Clarens, The Square is the place to be. Sending the staff and the owner an abundance of love, light and kindness, all the very best.
