Minor Disappointment: The Beautiful dam is gone.Overall great stay. The coolest outing.Very Clean Showers!Very Clean Toilets.Bedding and Utensils Very Clean.Fridge and Microwave.a bit of a 5 star in the Bush😁Braaistands provided as well. However the House-keeping Team can do better on the dust front.Dust along the Picture frames , Plugs and under the bed.I'm allergenic to dust. But we wiped that off.And it was a Joyable 2 day visit of walking, horse Riding and Quard bikes

Enquired about pitching my tent as Bus Stop advertises camping possibilities. Was informed at reception that to pitch my tent would be 600 rand rather than the 160 rand on the blackboard on the rear patio. Clearly something has gone badly wrong with their business model. I can't be the only person to have left bewildered and without having spent anything on camping, in the shop or in the café.

Cute place. Liked the games on the table. Not impressed with the HUGE sandwich. It was just very thick not a big slice of bread with one slice of bacon and some cheese...

Beautiful, scenic camping site. You're surrounded by stunning sandstone mountains and the song of nature from the stream/river that flows into the dam. The ablution facilities are sufficient for campers, but don't expect 5-star comfort. The campsites are a not all level and/even, but are still OK for tent users. I would have given an extra star if the ablutions were a bit nicer and the campsites more level. Personal safety is not a concern. Would I go there again? ABSOLUTELY, yes!

We camped here in December 2021. The setting is absolutely amazing! However, I think the site is not reaching its potential, which is sad. The ablution facilities are very (very) basic and hot water is a scarcity (the geyser trips all the time). It's kept clean, but I think they can do just a few things to dramatically enhance the camper experience. The dishwashing facility is not up to standard. Ten campsites not well marked, uneven and muddy. Only one water point for all the sites. It was raining a lot, and I know the mud can't be controlled, but I would expect management to at least fill up large holes on a site (for example right in front of the braai) with gravel to assist campers to utilise facilities. It's a beautiful setting, so I guess the trade-off is between the setting and the facilities. I don't mind roughing it up when camping, but I think the price charged deserves a little bit more investment in the facilities. It's a high price to charge for such basic facilities. I'm not sure if we will return. The problem is that there are so few camp sites in this area. We camped at Glen Reenen a few times, but the construction and busy road made us look for another place. Here (Busstop) at least, it was quiet and safe, but the facilities were lacking. So maybe we will return as we just love the setting, but we will probably plan to be more self sufficient (own shower and washup facility, long hose to get water, own braai).

What an amazing view! Absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately it seems as if nobody really knows what is going on here. We called in the week to confirm we will be camping there. When we arrived on frifat afternoon at 1650 no one was there. We called the number on the bus and the one on google but no one answered. We went into Kiara lodge to the reception with the hopes that someone there might be able to assist us in booking in and going to the campsite but they said the bus stop is completely seperate. They eventually gave us another number to call so we finally got to someone to assist us. We went to camp ground and finally set up camp. There was loadshedding and the power kept tripping the whole evening. The view was absolutely breath taking but I definitely think the bathrooms need a bit of an upgrade. On Saturday when we went to the bus stop to book for abseiling, it once again seemed like no one knew what was going on. They then sent us to Kiara lodge again so that we could book there for the abseiling. It just felt like a whole up and down and up and down experience. As for the abseiling, definitely 5 stars. The guides were really well informed and made the trip fun. Shoutout to Patrick and Petrus for a great abseiling trip

Very nice and shady camping sites next to the pond. Ablutions are basic but very clean. Zita made us feel so welcome. You can truly support them and Di Bus Stop. They are honest and kind people.
