Everything I ate in this restaurant was delicious. Opted for the 3- course menu for €49. The appetizer was the only vegetarian option on the menu and that is ok. It didn’t hurt my feelings that the main course did not have a non-meat option as the roasted lamb plate with root vegetables was to die for. Literally. Every bite was slowly savored as I know I won’t get something as good anywhere else anytime soon. The service was impeccable. What an experience! 🤩

What an amazing dining experience! Balanced flavours and food textures, attention to food presentation and excellent service. We reserved a table on the same day over the phone and we got the four-service formula. There is a small back terrace which is lovely - would highly recommend this place!

Delightful lunch at L’essentiel. Appetizing cold starters perfect for the summer. The fish works perfectly with the soft creamy aubergine, and the tiny crunchy vegetable piece added to the texture of the sauce. The slow-cooked veal was good too.

We made reservations for lunch and so happy we did. From the service to the food it was exceptional. The foie gras was delicious as was the entire meal. Off a side street, it is a hidden gem!!

Every dish is spot on for taste, texture & flavour. We can see the glittering eyes of the chef with lots of passion in what he is doing. Impressive wine list and excellence service for the front of house. We will be back if we are in the area.

Delicious and creatively-presented food, all the way through the entrée, main and dessert! There was a bit of a long wait between our main and dessert, but it was well worth it. The staff were also very kind to accommodate my dietary restrictions as a pregnant woman after I notified them in advance. Highly recommend this place!

Really lovely modern Restaurant with creative cuisine. We went for lunch which is a good value. The first courses we're fantastic and our favorite part of the meal. The main dishes we're also good but didn't match the creativity and deliciousness of the entrées, but the fish was perfectly cooked. Service could have been a little more helpful, a language barrier was a bit of an issue but we muddled through. Nice wine list but no guidance for it.

We were a little disappointed by this restaurant. We found the restaurant recommended in several travel blogs and had (too) high expectations reading the menu beforehand. Many of the dishes had the same basic flavours (same sauce and same brunoise celery used), which made it a bit boring. We felt as if the kitchen had to get rid of a lot of these tiny cut cubes, as they were all over most dishes... We didn‘t understand why because the flavors really didn‘t fit the dish at times. We liked that the restaurant uses local produce and wines but that‘s really to be expected in this area! The waiter explained each dish but didn‘t really go beyond that to make us feel accomodated and was otherwise very passive.

Excellent prestations. Outstanding quality. Service could be a little more attentive. Decoration is still affected by plexiglass partitions which blocks the view workout blocking sounds.

Definitely the best meal we had in our trip. We visited for lunch after the recommendation of a local. The service is fantastic, and the “menu du jour” was superb. We enjoyed every bite. This place is not to be missed.

Had a lovely lunch here. Made reservations a couple days ahead. I like their daily menu concept. The food was fabulous, the stew melted in your mouth and the fish dish is something I really want to try to recreate at home so I can keep eating it. The service was good, and they spoke English.

Lovely meal and wine selection for a super decent price

Love the service. Crew was friendly and professional despite my inability to speak French. Food was lovely - flavours were clean and well balanced. Special shout-out for the dessert. It really hits home for me. The balance between sweet and sour is so good, I have to clean everything off my plate.

Absolutely amazing in every way! In the words of my five year old daughter, “This is the best meal of my life!”

Classic French restaurant with sensational food and wine. Aperitif, foie gras and Pigeon perfect. That was last year. Back after 12months and still sensational. Rabbit, Fish and Apple tarte were delicious. I must mention that the plate of seasonal vegetables the chef prepared especially for my vegetarian Sister-in-Law made her gasp with delight.

Tranquil courtyard setting, very attentive and helpful staff, and incredible food. The dishes had interesting and nuanced flavours and the portion size was great. My only regret was not having any wine (long drive after lunch)!

Excellent service and food. A little slow to get the bill but otherwise everything was perfect.
