👍 Awesome service! The venue was nice and cozy. Good paté as an appetizer. The lamb was good as well. Loved the dessert with strawberries and lemon. Nice value overall for a Michelin star restaurant. Great wine selection and very affordable. People often mention experience, wine, menu, good, service, taste, Japanese,

Every dish was in his own way perfect. Each component matches each other. Unique and interesting taste. Cook I guess like Japanese kitchen and everything has little bit Japanese components. When they served Kareaage, even toothpick was Japanese. Definitely cook deserves Michelin Star. Unfortunately and again very unfortunately (it’s second time in Dijon) I am facing perfect restaurant and very bad service. Arrogant waiter… Another thing is sound of the dishwasher during dinner. Very nice and high level atmosphere. Prices are quite high, but you know why you are paying, just need to admit that there was only one compliment from kitchen, not typical for Michelin Star restaurants. Nice experience, I will come back one day (Hopefully service will be improved). Ratings are below (1 - worse, 5 - the best): The overall food is very very good - 4++/5. Service is bad - 2/5. Atmosphere is nice - 4/5. Prices of food and drinks are fine - 4/5. Overall - nice experience.

We had reserved a table for 1230. We were seated and shown a set lunch menu by the waiter. When we asked about the degustation menu, we were informed it takes 2 hours. We get the feeling that the waiter seem to be discouraging us and mentioned that they will close before we may have time to enjoy the experience. They strongly recommended the set lunch. We had the set lunch with cod as the main instead of the chicken breast. There was way too much salt, so much that I can’t taste the cod flavour or freshness. It tasted like brined cod leaving just a salty taste. Eaten with the garnishing, it was not enough to balance the taste as it still leaves my mouth coated in salt. I’ll rate the main course sub- standard and not deserving a Michelin star. The appetiser of sliced duck was good. The only positive experience, I must say was with their fig dessert. It blew our minds. It got full marks from us, in terms of both presentation and taste, a perfectly balanced dessert.

The tasting menu is absolutely stunning and beyond expectations. Classic but with a little twist that makes each composition memorable. You discover the different plates as you go, and there is no bad surprise. Unfortunately, the sommelier ruins the experience. Since it is a surprise menu, he plays a key role in pairing the wine. I gave him a generous 100 euros budget for a bottle. The only thing he managed to match was the price limit of the bottle (98 euros), but the well crafted, somewhat academic wine was totally overpowered by the food. Short finish, lack of minerality. Moreover, it came to cold at the beginning to become lukewarm at the end of the 2 hours experience. No coolers! Cheap standard wine glasses for table wine. It is impossible to appreciate a complexer nose with this shape of glass. At l'Asperule food is terrific value for money. Wine is just the margin enhancer.

Very good french food with a Japanese touch. We ate dinner and had the 120 Euro surprise menu. I enjoyed every dish. The wine pairing also worked well with one of the selections being sake. Service was very good and attentive. Deserves the Michelin star and we felt like we got good value for what we paid.

Might be the best meal we've ever had in our lives! We were so happy with everything about this experience. Highly recommend!

If only for the dessert alone, this calm restaurant is worth a visit. The melon confit dessert by the pâtissière is a subtle bouquet of flavours and texture. The duck appetizer is wonderful and might benefit from a better display. The main dishes (cod, veal) are delicious, just the companion sauces are rather overpowering. It is a pity one waiter rushed us for orders of all glasses of wine right at the beginning rather than letting us decide as the courses evolved, we also were not given a chance to even taste the wine before he poured a whole glass 😓. Other than that, it is a pleasant experience.

food: excellent, top quality, great (and friendly) chef service: cold, rather arrogant and disinterested waiters ambience: soulless, no music (all you hear is noise from the kitchen), very bright lights (it reminds one of a doctor‘s office or operating room), no flowers, cheap soap in bathroom - disappointing for such a dining experience

Unlike the composition, the taste of the food doesn't match at all and plays separately. It was a very disappointing dinner.😞 Ps. Farcis with bouillon soup was the good

Wonderful culinary experience in the heart of Dijon's historic old town! We went on a Friday night in early August with every table booked that evening. The restaurant offered the 5 or 7 course tasting menu. We went for the 5. The quality of food was outstanding. Quite a simple cuisine focusing on some high quality ingredients cooked in very innovative ways Service was friendly but the speed - or lack thereof - was the reason we didn't feel 100% satisfied. It might have been a one off but the kitchen was trying very hard to coordinate the dishes between the people that have chosen the 5 or 7 course menu. The 5 courses meant that essential two of the 7 course menu were skipped. But that resulted in a wait of 30min between first and second course for us... So not perfect. Would go again however!

a culinary experience based on "blind tasting menu"; a mix match of france traditions , french new vibes and Japanese twist; beautiful presentation; excellent service, spotless and friendly; then, less important, great light system

Excellent food and service in this lovely restaurant. The japanese chef prepares an absolutely delightful French Japanese fusion food from the best produce. Service and tableware are impeccable in. I wish it was closer to home 😊
