If you find yourself in Dijon, for work, for pleasure, for killing time, for whatever reason... take yourself off down a small alleyway towards a small hole in the wall restaurant and enter into a cave of trinkets and a world of nostalgia. If you are not sure what to expect, then that's good, you shouldn't expect anything normal. Your senses will be overwhelmed by the memoribilia crammed in every nook and cranny of this little gem. Photos, dolls, posters, saucepans, lamps, plants and all manner of household apparel will keep your eyes and brain busy for most of your visit. Wherever you look, they'll be a reason to pause, squint and ponder "what on earth is that?" Take a seat and work your way through the handwritten menu giving only vague notions of what food to expect. Sounding fairly decadent and delicious but still leaving a good amount of mystery of what will land on the table roughly 15 minutes after you order. But be prepared, the portions are enough to feed an army. There'll be more potatoes and cheese than you can shake a stick at, and a healthy slab of meat. A token salad completes the meal but it's a lettuce leaf too far. Truly delicious, a friendly and welcoming ambience, a cat, an eclectic playlist to keep you humming. This place has it all. Not to be missed in Dijon. You will not regret a visit. 5*!!!!

Absolutely amazing! The food is amazing, you will feel like you have just stepped into the past! The owner is kind, the quality is very high and you will instantly feel at home. Will definitely come back!

EAT WHERE THE LOCALS EAT! Very friendly owner who cooks all the food as well as serving and incredible food! You may need to know a bit a French as well as having google translate but all the dishes are amazing so you can't go wrong. Not to forget the GRANDE portions, especially for the price!

Had a great experience here - the owner does not speak any english, but he introduced us to his cat Mimi and gave us free shots of Creme de Cassis in the end. The portions are huge and really tasty - highly recommend!

Absolutely wonderful! Au gratin was huge and so delicious. Drinks were amazing and super affordable. Service was quick and friendly. Great price, huge portions, laid back atmosphere. We’re really enjoyed this experience and left super full.

Like entering the upside down. You need to visit. Great host who is server, chef and sommelier. Rustic food and a great tart tatin with shots. A brilliant evening and if you're lucky Miminn the cat may make an entrance. Lovely night, highly recommended.

A really charming small restaurant, with a very nice one man show cook and waiter. The food is tasty the wine is excellent and the restaurant it self is one kind in the art. Mimi the house cat is funny to watch, I would enjoy that food every time again Portions are very big

Budget dining option This little restaurant is hidden down an alley near the centre of town. With the exception of the steak (which we didn't order and probably should have), the menu is based on potatoes, cheese, eggs and salad. The meals are very large - our omelette was tasty and came with salad and a side of fried potato slices and the gratin (which came with a salad) was huge. Fabrice (the owner) is very nice and cooks everything himself. It's very tasty but not a fine dining experience.
