The
two
stars
are
given
for
the
really
convenient
location-
just
a
minute
from
the
old
town
of
Dijon-
and
the
extremely
friendly
and
helpful
young
staff.
As
for
the
rest-
this
hotel
is
a
design
nightmare
and
clearly
reverses
the
‚form
followes
function‘
to
‚
function
has
to
follow
form.‘
First,
it‘s
in
black
and
white
which
means
mostly
black
for
the
reception.
The
light
design
is
such
that
we
could
hardly
see
the
receptionist
as
we
were
entering
the
building.
It
felt
like
entering
a
tomb.
This
impression
grew
even
weirder
in
the
lift,
where
you
could
hardly
see
anything
at
all.
The
room
we
had
(407)
felt
incredibly
small
for
two
and
it
wasn‘t
even
the
smallest
category.
It
was
just
so
badly
shaped
and
stuffed,
that
you
literally
couldn‘t
move
without
banging
any
of
the
furniture.
In
spite
of
the
size
of
the
room
they
had
an
overdimensioned
mirror
crammed
in,
that
made
it
even
harder
to
move
and
turned
out
to
be
the
tv.
The
worst
suprise
came
at
night
though.
There
are
coloured
lights
in
the
windows,
that
cannot
be
switched
off-
due
to
the
hotel
design.
It
was
covered
by
the
friendly
receptionists
that
came
to
our
rescue
and
told
us,
he
had
to
do
that
all
the
time,
because
-
surprise!-
the
guests
hate
having
coloured
lights
all
night
long,
while
they
want
to
sleep.
The
breakfast
buffet
was
small,
but
okay.
Nothing
special.
No
recommandation,
no
turning
back.
Marriott
should
really
reconsider
their
design
choices.
