Too good for visiting all the points in Matheran

This is One of the Five best points of Matheran. Never.. i mean never ever miss the sunrise from this point. I dont know why this point is named as khandala point. I would have named this point as Sunrise point. As matheran already has the sunset point. Now if u want to enjoy this point, only go before sunrise. Search in google about the sunrise timing and just for one day wake up early, and reach this point 15-30 min before sunrise and see the twilight the sky offers and sit and relax untill u slowly see the sun coming out from the dark. Its super amazing and after sun rise sit for more 30min to soak in the sunlight. This point is hardly 700-900 meter walk from main market place or jama msjid which takes around just 10mins. Khandala point highly Recommended.

Most serene point which is directly connected to MATHERAN market, the morning view is breathtaking... No need of horses to view this...

This is the first point we visited at Matheran. And when we started walking towards other points, we expected the same view, so we were not very excited. But believe me, every point has its own beauty, and also, the journey towards each point also is very calm and rejuvenating. You can experience the untouched forests as you walk towards the next points.

It was a wonderful experience to visit there. It's small but a very good hill station near to Mumbai you can reach there by local train rainy is the best season to visit this place.

Khandalla point also known as Sunrise Point has a great view of the horizon, quite and clean place with lots of dogs 🐶 but don't be scared by them.

It's a sunrise point. Though we reached the point on time, the sun was visible only for a short time when it came out of the clouds. But the place was sublime as most other points of matheran.

Khandala point is small point nearby to Matheran market. If you're visiting on weekdays it will not be much crowded but of you're visiting on holidays you'll have to wait to enjoy the beauty of it. Being small point you can skip when you're visiting on weekends and Holidays.

This nearest point from Matheran market. It has a good view. Matheran is overall nice place. I didn't like the road work that is ongoing. It made this place like a concrete jungle and you miss that. Matheran was much better before road construction.

The location is quite good and the view is nice. The only problem is monkeys. I will recommend not to keep any carry bag in your hands, specially females. You can carry water bottle monkeys don't attack on that 😅

Great view point very close to the main market for viewing the sunrise. You can capture the dramatic hues of the sun p Clearly as it is rising up majestically. In recent times the side railings and step renovations have been done and the walk doesn't look that dangerous anymore. Definitely a perfect start to the morning to fill it with all the energy.

This point is very near to the market and is a comfortable walk. The view is very beautiful. The walk to the point is very well developed. There is no name board or direction near the walkway but the locals will help you with directions.

It takes 20 to 30 steps to cross Khandala Point, Khandala Point is a short distance from Main Bazaar, and the first point, Khandala Point offers spectacular views and Khandala Point canyon is very deep and scary when it is not monsoon. Standing across this point in time is like standing in front of a cloud.
