Pretty restaurant with tiled decoration however the service was extremely slow. They gave us 1 menu between 2 and didn’t take our order for food & drinks until 40mins after we sat down. We only opted for mains as we could see how slow everything was but that still took 30mins. They’re really understaffed even for a restaurant that wasn’t full. We had the chateaubriand which was good & they do specialise in meat but I wouldn’t come back just for the lack of service considering it’s not a cheap restaurant either.

Probably the best place for steak in Brussels city centre. Located in close proximity of Grand Place, in a quiet side street and frequented mostly by locals. The food and service is excellent. Definitely recommend.

Wir haben im Restaurant Vincent zu Abend gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Da wir mit einer größeren Gruppe dort waren, gab es ein spezielles Menü, was sehr lecker war!

I have been coming here for years and it is well above average. Back in the days I would have scored it 5 star but this time it will be only four. Lack some interest from the staff and the fries wasn’t perfect which should be the case when in Belgium. But will most likely come back. Seafood and meet on the menu means I do get what I want.

Myself and two of my colleagues were having dinner around 8-9pm yesterday, 7 June 2023. We sat at a small table inside towards the end of the restaurant, next to the large table in the middle. At first, we were very pleased and happy with the service provided by a younger male waiter who was exceptionally polite and courteous, and the food was good. However, as we were in the middle of our main course, the tall older male waiter with some grey hair was leading a large group towards the large table behind us. He then abruptly came to our table and roughly shoved it inwards, towards the wall seat saying that he needed more room for the new guests to pass. He shoved the table right into my older colleague who was seating on the wall bench. My older colleague was disabled and had severe mobility issues and was in pain, and the table hit him right in his stomach. The incident tool literally 2-3 seconds, and I protested to the older waiter explaining that this was rude and rough, and my older disabled colleague was in pain already, and this was not a way to treat customers, let alone those who are disabled and elderly. The older waiter walked straight away and did not pay any attention. Our group was really upset at this unacceptable behaviour. I have separately made a complaint to the restaurant and decided to post the above as my Google review, as I find it shocking, incredibly rude, insensitive and totally unacceptable. My colleagues and I arrived in Brussels earlier this week (5-10 June 2023) to attend an international medical conference and were really looking forward to experience renowned Belgium hospitality, and the above incident completely spoilt our impressions of this restaurant and the country. This is not something we were expecting to experience in the capital of Europe, and certainly not in a country which quite rightly prides itself for its equality, diversity and inclusion. I hope that restaurant management take the above as a learning opportunity to improve customer training of their staff to ensure that such behaviour is not tolerated and that such incidents never occur again. The restaurant has a lovely traditional feeling, and the chef works incredibly hard. However, water costs twice as much as fries! They refuse to give you table/tap water and charge 7euros for a small 500ml of bottled water, but only 3euros for chips. It is a crime in my mind, that a restaurant cannot produce free pure drinking water to their clientele, but instead choose to rip them off and pollute the planet. The whole city feels like a broken and grubby place intent on treating tourists as if they were idiotic-cash-machines.

Traditional Belgium restaurant. The croquettes we tried very good, the secreto meat horrible, not properly cooked and super thick where it needs to be crispy. The reason why 2* is because between starters and main course there was more than 1 hour delay, and we were only 6 in the table!

Food was excellent. Very friendly and helpful maitre de. The shrimp croquettes were amazing. We used to come here 10 years ago and I'm pleased to say the quality of food has stayed the same. The only slight downside was that they were extremely busy and didn't appear to have enough staff.

We ordered the champagne and chateaubriand. The food was good quality, and the wine was excellent. However the service was lousy for the price. Poor attention to detail, and not worth the money.

Absolutely overrated and too expensive for what you get. The wine we got was warm(?) and not that good. The meat was fine but the fries were underwhelming. Overall a disappointing experience.

We had a great night at Chez Vincent, as always! Excellent food and wines ! Great and cosy atmosphere, especially with the beautiful Christmas decorations that Ilhame, the manager has arranged. The service was really good and they all made us feel very welcome by making sure we had all we need to enjoy our night! I highly recommend it ! :D

Nice atmosphere , friendly staff. Gave directly a good feeling and the food yeah like good food should be. But you have to make a reservation. It is in a unique ceramic paintings frame classified in UNESCO in the pedestrian center of Brussels that our team of professionals will make you discover many Belgian homemade specialties. Our chef selects our meats that are cut and flambé in the dining room. Dominican street is one of the oldest shopping streets in the center of Brussels dating back to the 17th-18th centuries. These buildings were erected during the major reconstruction campaign in the center of Brussels after the bombardment of the city by the troops of Marechal de Villeroi in August 1695. In 1913, the entire ground floor of No. 8 is redeveloped by the architect Maurice Grimme for the Rôtisserie Vincent "House founded in 1905". It is at this time that the restaurant room receives an exceptional interior decoration by the presence of large painted ceramic paintings produced by the firm Helman (founded in 1897).

This restaurant is pretty unique in the way of interior design. It is a bit weird but the centre tables are surrounded by wood which together form a sail boat. The wall is beautifully decorated with painted tiles. Foodwise there is not much to complain about. I would happily go here again.

Central location, good service. Perhaps a little tight inisde but that seems to be the case with many restaurants in this area. Food was ok - I had the chicken vol-au-vent which came with a tiny pot of frozen chips (very poor). To me it was overpriced at 27.50 euro and I didnt find it filling.

We had beef chateaubriand with black pepper sauce. The waiter was very friendly, gave us valuable tips and guided us for the best dinner experience. Sorbet trio was also delicious and felt prepares by fresh fruits. The atmosphere is very refreshing with beautiful ceramic paintings. Plus, they respected our reservation request and provides us a beautiful table spot.

This place was recommended by our hotel when we asked for classic Belgian food. I loved the atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. You enter through the kitchen and if you sit in the main dining room, you will seem most of the food prep. We ordered starters here. They were all delicious.

I’m biased but this is my favourite restaurant in all of the world. I have had some bad meals here but at its best it is incomparable. Difficult to find, and from the outside it looks more like a butchers shop. Do you think I would ruining this place with a five star recommendation if it were easy for tourists to find? Tourists, go somewhere else!

The food was really good but the service was horrible. Rude staff who think they are funnier than they really are! I went to a waiter to tell him I had a booking, he literally said “ Yeah what do you want me to do ? “ Please remove the mussels from your menu if this is not the season. The customers don’t know about it

We waited 1,5 hours for our main course. Two fish dishes which each were covered with tons of butter. On the menu it said ‘spicy sauce’ which was a mistake by the manager, as it was bernaise. 6,25 for a bottle of water, no tap water available. It’s the opposite of a comfortable, worthy night out.

Jahrot was an wonderful waiter. He was knowledgeable of the wine list and local favorite dishes. The interior of the establishment was nicely done in tile and antique wood. Service was immaculate. I really enjoyed my meal on a mid afternoon Saturday.

We visited restaurant Vincent on a Saturday evening (make sure you make a reservation; it seemed empty when we arrived at 19:00h, but one hour later the restaurant was full). Our experience was lovely: very friendly staff, delicious food, and a unique interior. We will definitely visit restaurant Vincent again!

First enjoyed the decor , amazing murals on tiles on the walls. We had small appetizer mussels and they were fantastic. And chateaubriand for two with bernaise, which was also fantastic. Meat was great cut perfectly cooked - picture doesnt do justice . Couple beside us had the peppercorn and said it was great , wish we tried it. Super great feeling here , like 5 star family restaurant :) would love to go back ...

It is a very well located restaurant, nice staff and charming atmosphere. The food is okay. We had the mussels, which were not very tasty, small and some could not be opened. We also had the pork cheeks and it was also fine, but not very tasty either. Overall it is a good choice, a bit overpriced for the quality of the food you get.

We went there as a recommendation from someone who visited 10 years ago! As a vegetarian, there wasn't much of an option apart from the Tortellini but the portion was very good and the taste was really nice as well. The ambience of the restaurant is really good. The meat eaters loved all the meat that was served.

  • 2/5 Fiona M. 11 months ago on Google
The restaurant is incredibly loud and you have to walk sort of 'through' the kitchen to get to the seating area, which seems to be stressful for both staff and customers. In my food, there was a literal small stone which nearly cracked my tooth, and a small bottle of still water (0,5l) cost 7€, which is massively overpriced.

Food fine but service a bit surly. We ordered a spirit aperitif by name, which they didn't have but the waiter said he had something similar and brought us a beer! To be fair, it was nice but not what we wanted.

  • 4/5 Jeff A. 4 years ago on Google
The place was empty when i walked in but the head waiter gave me a table tucked in a dark corner by the entrance. At least it wasn't by the toilet. The saving grace was my server and the pork short rib which was excellent. Maybe I would have gotten a better table if I had a european look.

This restaurant with Belgian kitchen is different as others. First of, it is in a very beautiful old style looking area in the center of Brussels. Look around before you open the door of this place. I don't spoil and let you get surprised by the "Entry". Inside it is also extraordinair and score very high with his beautiful old faience. This is definitely a must visit location. Tip: request them to prepare you a crème brulé in the open kitchen in front of you :-) Small menu but very high quality food and i loved it. Budget seen: really more than average but worth it.

I visited the Restaurant with a business group of 10 People. The menu offered many beef cuts and they were cooked to perfection accompanied by delicious sauce. The restaurant walls and ceiling are beautifully decorated and the 1912 prices are displayed which is great fun facts. It’s centrally located surrounded by other restaurants, bars etc. Recommend
