Myself
and
two
of
my
colleagues
were
having
dinner
around
8-9pm
yesterday,
7
June
2023.
We
sat
at
a
small
table
inside
towards
the
end
of
the
restaurant,
next
to
the
large
table
in
the
middle.
At
first,
we
were
very
pleased
and
happy
with
the
service
provided
by
a
younger
male
waiter
who
was
exceptionally
polite
and
courteous,
and
the
food
was
good.
However,
as
we
were
in
the
middle
of
our
main
course,
the
tall
older
male
waiter
with
some
grey
hair
was
leading
a
large
group
towards
the
large
table
behind
us.
He
then
abruptly
came
to
our
table
and
roughly
shoved
it
inwards,
towards
the
wall
seat
saying
that
he
needed
more
room
for
the
new
guests
to
pass.
He
shoved
the
table
right
into
my
older
colleague
who
was
seating
on
the
wall
bench.
My
older
colleague
was
disabled
and
had
severe
mobility
issues
and
was
in
pain,
and
the
table
hit
him
right
in
his
stomach.
The
incident
tool
literally
2-3
seconds,
and
I
protested
to
the
older
waiter
explaining
that
this
was
rude
and
rough,
and
my
older
disabled
colleague
was
in
pain
already,
and
this
was
not
a
way
to
treat
customers,
let
alone
those
who
are
disabled
and
elderly.
The
older
waiter
walked
straight
away
and
did
not
pay
any
attention.
Our
group
was
really
upset
at
this
unacceptable
behaviour.
I
have
separately
made
a
complaint
to
the
restaurant
and
decided
to
post
the
above
as
my
Google
review,
as
I
find
it
shocking,
incredibly
rude,
insensitive
and
totally
unacceptable.
My
colleagues
and
I
arrived
in
Brussels
earlier
this
week
(5-10
June
2023)
to
attend
an
international
medical
conference
and
were
really
looking
forward
to
experience
renowned
Belgium
hospitality,
and
the
above
incident
completely
spoilt
our
impressions
of
this
restaurant
and
the
country.
This
is
not
something
we
were
expecting
to
experience
in
the
capital
of
Europe,
and
certainly
not
in
a
country
which
quite
rightly
prides
itself
for
its
equality,
diversity
and
inclusion.
I
hope
that
restaurant
management
take
the
above
as
a
learning
opportunity
to
improve
customer
training
of
their
staff
to
ensure
that
such
behaviour
is
not
tolerated
and
that
such
incidents
never
occur
again.
