Totally new team and the place is super nicely kept authentic! A real place that represents Anderlecht's history mixed with a super nice staff! Please keep this place a secret spot 😅!

Great traditional place, from the internal architecture, the friendly and professional service, and the panel of meal proposed. We had 4 different main courses and all looked as good as they were tasty. Any occasion will be good to go back. Definitely worth the go !!!

I had never tried Belgian cuisine before and this place made me love it. I was lucky enough to be introduced to this place by a local and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. Everything cooked perfectly and packed with tons of flavor, it was a really satisfying dinner. I really enjoyed it and I will definatly be back for more if I come in Brussels again. Highly recommend restaurant.

Went here on a Sunday noon with our kids, we all loved it. I had the "Bistro burger" and it was really good: goat cheese, beef burger, turkey bacon, sweet onions... A very well balanced composition! Service was also very good!

It is hard to find a restaurant where you eat well these days. The chapeau blanc is excellent. Impressive menu, not too expensive. Good value for money. Je me suis régalé.

A hidden gem, one of the few, non-touristic, authentic brasseries in Brussels. Food never disappoints, service is very friendly and it is great value for money.

Typical "art-deco" Brussels brasserie. The service is courteous and respectful, and the food is of quality and well prepared. Perfect for a business lunch or evening meal.

Got a reservation online for 11h30 were seated and told kitchen opens only at noon, going in with hungry kids : why allow for early reservations if your kitchen is closed and a 30’ wait is needed ? Next we order and aren’t told there are some activity books for the kids to keep them busy (a pity !). Undercooked chicken in a vol au vent kids menu, soggy veggie balls instead of crispy boulettes as promised by the menu, the mushroom stoemp was inedible (and the waiter didn’t know it was possible in a kids menu when it was clearly marked on the menu)! And why top the food with a bunch of greens when it’s clearly not edible with the dish? The only good part about the dishes was the tomato sauce on 2 plates out of the 5 dishes, what a pity for a place that we had hoped would be a great resto to have in the area ! Disappointed by the service who didn’t react when we informed them about the food. Very very disappointing overall food wise!!

I have been a regular guest of Le Chapeau Blanc since 2004 and have taken guests and visitors there and it was always a nice happening, gastronomically and socially. The Chapeau Blanc was overhauled: the interior has been made brighter and the menus has been simplified. It is therefore VERY (very) UNFORTUNATE that we did not encounter anymore the same, bon vivant and appetisingly excellent standard. The menu has been simplified and reduced and a signature dish (moules frites) was incredibly badly prepared (we learned that you should not eat mussels that are not open when cooked; well, yesterday’s serving consisted of mussels that were a bit open and once open, difficult to detach from their shell; the frites were luke warm when served). A big stain on the white hat. I am not sure whether I will ever return. An that is very unfortunate because it was one of the last good restaurants in Anderlecht. The wine was good though, as in the past.

The welcome was rude. The place has an unpleasant smell.
