This place is absolutely amazing. Some of the most groundbreaking technological advancements by humankind, and it's free, no one bugs you, and it's all available to you at your own pace/level of interest. In addition to extremely cool aircraft, there's also fascinating history told through numerous artifacts, dioramas, and displays. You gotta see it - three HUGE hangars' worth of stuff, plus aircraft outside, and it's freakin' FREE. You might get lucky and see and C5 fly overhead, as well.

An awesome museum - a must-see! This site is located on the southeast corner of the Robbins Parkway and Oak Avenue intersection. The entrance is south of the buildings. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot in front of the complex of buildings. There is no cost to the museum and there are volunteers inside each of the buildings. You can visit the buildings in any order but I would suggest going to the 3 stories one directly in front of the parking lot first. It has a beautiful foyer, gift shop, and an information desk where you can get suggestions on what you may want to focus on during your visit. The museum is actually a set of 5 buildings focused on different items. You could easily spend hours or days visiting each of these buildings. The main 3 story building focuses on the historical aspect and spans 3 stories. The building to the south houses the Vietnam era. The courtyard in the middle of the building was being used to launch rockets on the day I visited. The two buildings on the east of the courtyard house various displays and some works-in-progress. As an added bonus, there are planes on display outside the main buildings including a B-52, Presidential plane, and more. Overall, it is a very nice museum and a must-see for any aviation enthusiast or American history buff. I highly recommend this for any visitor in the area.

It was a nice place to visit with a group. I wish they had the volunteers do a presentation or tour. They were so knowledgeable if you went up the desk to ask questions.

We are lucky to have such a place here. My father worked on base for 35+ years and was involved with setting up some of the planes here. Always a great place to bring the kids for a fun and educational trip.

Free museum. Dedicated to Air Force aviation museum. Family friendly, 4 large buildings which displays aircraft and stories on their background. My Father served 21 years, US Air Force. This is a great tribute to Robins Air base and it's entire history. Very informative displays and aircraft.

Make sure you have at least two to three hours to fully enjoy their massive collection. The majority of docents are Veterans, with invaluable knowledge that truly enhanced our visit. The exhibits are immersive and carefully curated, so we learned a great deal. This museum is a must-see!

Best and probably the largest aviation museum you could ever set foot in. Born not far from here, I've been privileged to see many additions added over the years to become what it is now. And to think it all started with just a few aircraft and a quonset hut. Favorite highlights are the SR-71 on display, the flight simulator, I-Max theater, and of course, the gift shop. There is a cafe on the top floor of the rotunda but it was closed on my last visit. There is a playground near the parking area so bring the whole family!

This is truly a great museum! I was surprised by how many aircraft were inside and outside. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. This is a free museum but I learned that they are self funded, so it is well worth a donation to keep this gem up and running.

Free to visit. This is the second largest Air Force museum in the country behind the national Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio. This place is pretty cool. They had some rare airplanes. Different buildings that you can explore different themes in each building all Air Force related. This place you can spend a good half day or a day in and still probably not see everything. Make sure to visit the outside exhibits. Those are pretty cool. You can walk up touch experience. Check out Google satellite photos for what birds are out there.

A perfect place to visit for Aviation nerds. These machines speaks about the history and dominance of aerial combat for USAF across the world. Don’t miss the 3D experience of Apollo moon landing 😀. Lots of other artifacts are placed in the museum from various wars, small scale models for almost every aircraft or helicopter is there on display. If you are interested in US war history or want to feel these war beasts do visit once and you won’t regret.

A fantastic display of history here. The museum is filled with so many different aircfafts and weaponry on display with plenty of details to read up on. By far the largest collection I've seen to date. Also this museum is free which is suprising as I can imagine the cost to upkeep. There are however donation boxes so I would recommend bringing some cash to help support it all. Photography in all areas is encouraged.

We had a great time. Super friendly people and very helpful. They will answer any questions you have. Also helped us with the veterans we had with us. They provided us with a wheelchair to finish seeing the rest of the museum, which is 3 separate buildings. Great time.

Lots of cool things for kids to interact with. Very clean and quiet museum. I like that they have so many models and facts to read everywhere. The staff was nice. It was a week day and parking was not that bad. Go visit!

Took the family. We all had a blast! Being able to show the boys planes/helicopters from WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Cold War Era, and Gulf War Era was truly an experience I will always remember.

This is an awesome museum and I still can't believe it's free! Our 9 yr old son loved seeing all the planes and there were several hands on exhibits to make it interesting for all ages. My husband was USAF so it was a walk down memory lane for him. There are 4 huge buildings to go through so plan to spend a few hours there and wear comfortable shoes. Also, make sure and drive around the property - there are tons of aircraft outside as well. We even saw an old Air Force One behind the museum!

This place is a great stop for any aviation or military buff. The amount of planes here is amazing. They have some hands on cockpits for the young and young at heart to jump into and play with all the buttons and gauges. 4 buildings in all. We did not have enough time to appreciate all that is here, since we hit this on the way to our destination. Kids enjoyed it and loved their models from the gift shop. If you are in the area and have some time to spare it is definitely worth a stop, and it's free, so why not?!

This place was very cool. I really liked the experience. I'm a 20 year old women who isn't very found of going to museums but decided to give this museum a chance and I found it absolutely amazing. They do ask you to wear masks still which wasn't an issue

We stopped for a short visit, and an hour later had seen only a fraction of the exhibits. Great place to take kids. It is free, and they will be learning while having fun.

I brought my boyfriend here since he's never been. He loved it and his dad is interested in coming now too after seeing photos. They have 3 buildings to explore and look through with a lot of information and interactive exhibits. They do require masks if you are not vaccinated. A small gift shop is also located in the main building. And entry is free!

Had a very pleasant afternoon with my grandson who enjoyed it immensely. It's free but they have donation points. The simulated 3d rides at the entrance are as good as any Disney 3d ride (at $10 per person)' and you don't have to wait in the sun for 3 hours for the ride. The variety of planes is staggering, including 3 exterior halls, and plane exhibitions in back of the main pavilion. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic exhibit! I never imagined one could fit so many planes in such a relatively small space; however, it’s incredibly well done. My ten year old nephew was with us and he enjoyed sitting in a cockpit so much that he insisted on returning to it before we left. He also appreciated sitting in the helicopter and wiggling the controls. This museum is unbelievably child friendly and accessible . Seeing the famous SR 71 Blackbird was unforgettable! The volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable, the exhibits were clearly explained, and the artifacts numerous and fascinating. The skeletal plane with the paratroopers inside was creepy (in an Intriguing way). This was a day well spent, and I hope to get back there one day.

Very happy we finally stopped on the way south to see these exhibits. Amazing collection of aviation history set in informative displays. And the docents are friendly and knowledgeable. And it’s free, but please leave a nice donation!

Fantastic place to visit! My 15 year old and 7 year old loved it. There was so much to see and the volunteers were wonderful! We didn't expect it to be free admission. The only thing you have to pay for is a map but it was totally worth the $5. There are 3 hangers full of equipment in addition to the main exhibit areas. We will be back!

This is a must-visit for anyone in the state of Georgia, any aviation enthusiast, or anyone visiting the area. There is less to see outdoors now as compared to 10 years ago when I first went here but the indoor parts are still something you can spend an entire day looking at. Take your time here because there are large portions of the museum you can simply miss if you aren't careful. It is much larger than you might think. Wear your walking shoes.

Great aviation museum! No fee. Lots of great displays. Crowds weren't that bad. Would recommend.

Quick visit as I didn't know it closed early. Got to check out the outside with a quick stop in one building. Seems like I could spend a few hours exploring and taking pictures.

Wow!!! I had no idea that Georgia had such an amazing gem of a museum. You have to see this place. Very interesting history and exhibits and best of all, it's free. Thanks to all who worked so hard to make this place a reality.

This is an amazing air museum! After spending 31 years in the Air Force and around aircraft, you can clearly see the passion and care for not jets the aircraft, but the preservation of history. I salute all those who have made this museum what it is today. Take the time to see it…we’ll worth the visit.

This place is incredible. Four massive buildings full of aviation history. We didn't read much, and still spent over 3 hours to walk through everything. Great place for kids. Lots of room and lots of planes. There's larger planes outside. Nice indoor climate control. Hands on stuff spread throughout. Hop inside a C130 cockpit! There are even ground vehicles of sorts. It's free!

This place is so cool!! S0 many planes, and big ones!! My family and I really enjoyed going here. It takes about 2 hours to get through it all. Very very cool!!

Very nicely done museum. We're history buffs and have gone to quite a few aviation museums and this museum highlighted things we had not seen before. The volunteers were very nice and friendly also. We did not check it out but it looks like there was a nice playground in a picnic area right next to the museum. You need about 2 - 2 and 1/2 hours to see the museum.

  • 5/5 Alex 1 year ago on Google
Very cool place to spend the day! We spent 2 hours here but you could easily spend 4 hours if you spend your time reading everything. Lots of history. I personally liked the Tuskegee airmen display In the world war II building! Admission is free But there is donation spots, gift shops, and hey cool virtual reality experience that you can pay $10 per person for.

  • 5/5 Thomas H. 2 years ago on Google
It's difficult to keep the attention of a 5,7 and 9 year old but I was able to keep them moving quickly enough and amaze them with the virtual reality ride that the whole experience was educational and fun. Highly recommended for all age groups. There is no entrance fee for this museum they ask for a donation. They use to have a cafe but due to declining patrons it was closed. Again highly recommended!

  • 5/5 Donivan G. 9 months ago on Google
I go to a lot of aviation museums. Most all require an admission fee. This museum is free but they allow donations and have a very affordable gift shop. The quality of the displays and dioramas is excellent. It's not quite as big as WPAFB, but has a wonderful layout and has so many aircraft, vehicles, uniforms and other historical items to observe. The volunteers were all helpful and informative. Extremely proud of our servicemen and women and those who made this possible. Thank you!

What I experienced more than 100 Airplanes from World war 1 to Middle East war. Will recommend if you are passing by to stop on Warner Robins and go to the museum Free entrance, lots history, at least it will take over 5 hours to visit and experience fulfilment. The veterans are volunteering their service and acknowledge very helpful Thank you

Great! A must-see! Plan more than one 9a-4p day, though. One day was just enough time for ONE building, they have 3 more, AND the static displays outside. Tell'em Navy sent ya!

  • 5/5 Melinda G. 2 years ago on Google
I can not believe it was free. I only had an hour to spare so selected one hangar to visit, and loved it. Staff was helpful to answer questions and direct me, and the gift shop has a wide selection for good prices.
