It’s a restaurant with a medieval concept containing lots of “torture” decorations :) People writing about a rude service are wrong because it’s also a part of this concept. We came around 2pm and didn’t have any reservation but fortunately the place wasn’t busy yet so we got a table easily. Also I need to mention about the portion size: we got one meal which was enough for 2 people. It was roasted duck with some garnish. And it was amazing 😻 Btw you are supposed to be eating with your hands. I can definitely recommend this place (especially I got surprised with their decent prices).

Incredibly rude people working here. We came to visit Slovakia for the day from Budapest. Did not know we needed reservations. We were turned away even though there were multiple empty tables with no sign of anyone coming. Faded pirate decor and signs were not exactly inspiring. I don't care if the food is supposed to be good...this place is a joke.

First of all, you will hear a lot of medieval hungarian speaking, this is the whole sense of this place. It makes the perfect atmosphere for the restaurant and the installations, like the cage and all the peasant related things. The portions are huge, you will likely bring home some bits for breakfast! :) Everything tasted good, the food might seem pricy, but given the amount what you get, it is okay. What you pay for is really the experience and that is great! Recommended if you are not getting offended by the "peasant treatment" ;)

A family on holiday, 2 adults and 1 child. We cross the bridge by foot and get there following good reviews. Once there get inside the restaurant, can we have lunch? Can we eat something?: do you speak English? No. Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Nein. We are somehow told that the lady, the owner, speaks English and we are brought to her. This lady (who doesn't speak English at all) looks at us and maybe there's a child or maybe she doesn't like us (or I think she doesn't want to waste some time explaining the menu to foreigners) she just say: "no table, only reservations". It's 2pm and the restaurant is half empty... As soon as we get outside a group of young guys get inside (8-10 adults), we understand they ask if there is a free table for them, for sure they didn't book a table.. of course they are let inside for lunch.. Reviews are useful for sharing experiences.. Ours was awful and I hope it will help some other foreigners stay away from this restaurant.

Amazing atmosphere. Be prepared for not the usual restaurant environment but rather for a place where the time is ticking in the past. The design was inspired by many torture chambers. A place to visit is a must. Well done guys

Great experience & food! Must go when visiting Slovakia, just across the border of Hungary Esztergom 👌

I was sceptic but food was delicious. Dont forget make your reservation!! Because they are strict in this. Most of bad reviews are because of this. Stuff is funny and ready for your jokes, but they will strike back harder. Kindly rude, you need to come with open mind, good mood and really hungry. For complete experience you need to visit toilets.

An excellence experience of a typical medieval restorant. Awesome atmosphere if you have a tollerant character! Totally recommanded!

The food was delicious. They are a bit special people, but very funny. The only problem was that we didn't have a reservation, but we got a place for the evening.

Probably the best place I ever ate at. Top service with a "peasant inn" vibe. Amazing food in quantities that hurt your belly.

Exceeded my expectations over the roof. Was funny even if I don't speak fluent Hungarian. Food portion was enormous and very delicious. Will be coming back for sure!

The concept of restaurant is "medevial", so behaviour of the staff is like in that times...not pleasant. Portions of food are enormous, but everything you have to eat only with hands...no forks, only small knife. For me not nice...

We visited with a small group for a late Saturday lunch. Reservation is needed to get seated, otherwise you are turned away. The decoration is overdone, especially the skeletons seem to be out of place but the intention is clear. Service is the main selling point of this place and you get what you expect, the staff is intentionally rude with you in a funny way. We liked the food a lot although they could use a bit less parsley. Everything we chose from the menu was great. The portions are so big it’s literally a waste. For drinks, I recommend the Bazant ‘72. Definitely would return!

Funny staff. The beer was not the best one. You definitely need to try the magic sausage and pálinka. The food was also good enough.

Although this restaurant isn't my cup of tea. If you into this sort of things you may actually like it. Reservation requwired, unable to pay with credit cards.
