It was truly one of the best experiences of my life to train and study with Krishna and become a part of his yoga family. Iโ€™ve learned more than I ever thought possible over the course of my 500h yoga teacher training. The knowledge I gain about my self, life, and all the aspects of yoga is beyond value. The experiences I shared will remain with me for the rest of my life and I am so thankful for that!

Wow, I just finished my 300 hour training. I found Krishna like most of you by scrolling through different web sites looking for the perfect school. Without a doubt you have found it here! It's not because of the setting, which was quiet, (unlike most here in Rishikesh) or because of the food, which is homemade with love in each bite, or any of your own preconceived ideas of what you expect it to be, but because the man that teaches this course not only is a walking dictionary of what yoga is and is not, but his breath of knowledge is so profoundly deep and genuine you can't help but pinch yourself each morning wanting to pull out of him everything you can possibly learn from a true GURU. The short version is stop looking, you've found your teacher for life. I feel so blessed to have found this man, this school. I will forever be apart of this family.

"You get what you deserve" says Krishna. In the Internet maze of hundreds of yoga schools in India, I was searching for one to go to, and I found his school. Somehow, virtually, I was drawn to it and I enrolled on the 200h YTT course for October 20017. I feel honoured that I deserved to meet Krishna and become a part of his yoga family. Krishna is an ocean of knowledge, an oasis of peace and his heart is a goblet full of genuine love. And he shares all of this with each and every single one of his students, whom he treats like members of his family. Time spent with Krishna and Sangeeta was for me life changing. Not only have I learnt many aspects of yoga, but most of all, I learnt about myself, I expanded my horizons and acceptance. I took Krishna's teachings home and even now, over a year after the course, I can still hear his voice and teachings in moments of my life when turbulences occur. Samatva Yogalaya is definitely the best place to come to learn yoga, acceptance, gratitude and positivity. The building is placed in stunning surroundings, peaceful and quiet. The food is also delicious every time. Thank you Krishna and Sangeeta.

I had the best experience at Samatva Yogalaya with those amazing teachers Krishna and Sangeeta! I arrived there to do the 200hours and being sure I would never teach. I just wanted to improve my own practice and reconnect with my inner self. I ended up staying almost 3 months, doing the 500hours in 1 go and being all excited about teaching what I've learned. It's a real family atmosphere, the philosophy classes are amazing , the food is great, the location is perfectly isolated in the trees but close to the cafes and shops, the rooms are big and comfortable, the teachers are very talented and invested, ... I am looking forward to going back and meet again with my indian family. Thank you for everything Krishna and Sangeeta. You brought me a lot of love and taught me a lot.

We get what we deserve and I feel truly blessed to deserve such wonderful teachers. When you enter into Samatva Yogalaya, you enter into the house of yoga. No doubt Krishna and Sangeeta teach you asana, pranayama, philosophy, anatomy and everything you need to know; but here you are not only a student, you are treated as a family member and you get to experience the yogic life with these kind and humble people. You learn about equanimity and awareness. You learn what Yoga really is. I am grateful to be part of this yogic family! P.S.: The food is amazing!!

I recommend studying and practicing with Samatva Yogalaya to anyone committed to grounding and strengthening their yoga practice and study of self. What a BLESSING to study and practice Hatha yoga with the guidence of Krishna. It has been over three years since begining study at Samatva yogalaya and I am grateful to have learned how to cultivate an enriching foundation for this temporal body on earth. Before practicing yoga, I was severely dissociated from my body and suffocating with anxiety, unconscious of my habits and enviroment... I literally did not know how to breathe and was too self conscious to admit that I needed help. I chose to begin practicing yoga almost ten years ago, it has radically shifted how I relate with myself and the world. A dear friend on the path who Ive practiced with studied with Krishna and recommended Samatva yogalaya when I told her I was looking to deepen my practice. I was put off by a lot of what was being offered by studios as yoga in the US. My personal home practice I began had been so transformative, I wanted to learn how to understand from a practical grounded sense and to study in India to seek yoga is 'closer to it's essence' but was concerned my western mind would not be able to digest. (: I did a 200 hr month long study, deep gradual dive-- I left Samatva not knowing in the mind how to make sense of what my body had experinced and released but so appreciative for consistency and simplicity equipped with tools to trust in regular practice. Focused on foundation, alignment, practical methods of philosophy and movement. The teachings shared teach you how to learn yourself and guidelines to living a harmonic life. Krishna brings so much love humility and humor to his teachings and life, shared simply his knowledge transmits in bite sizes. I appreciated the small size of students and how comforting and welcoming he and his family are. We are all one yoga family at Samatva Yogalaya. :) I write this over 3 years after begining my journey studying at Samatva, I had the honor of connecting through online classes with Krishna in the last couple years which really helped me to get back into remembering my practice, especially expanding my connection with the breath and pranayama practice. I feel replenished in the consistent of practice, and find more ease and balance in the subtly of self and the present moment. So abundantly enriched by the connections made, for yoga family, for Krishna, Sangeeta and Aneesh. So much love and gratitude!

I wish there was a way I could give this more than a 5 star rating. I completed my 300hr YTT with Krishna as my instructor back in 2013, and words can't adequately explain the experience he blessed me with. Krishna has this unexplainable kindness and nurturing energy. I look back on my months of training, at only 19 years of age, and my mind goes immediately to him and his incredible ability to listen, teach, love and nurture. After I completed my training with Krishna, I wen't onto study Kinesiology at University, as during my time in India, he fostered my love for human anatomy and urged me to follow that once unknown passion of mine. I still to this day (3 years later) keep in touch with Krishna regularly, and can safely say his teachings are something that will stay with me forever. I urge anyone looking to learn the true meaning of yoga to seek out Krishna. Words cannot explain enough how much he has changed my life and how much respect and love flows through my veins for him - my lifelong teacher, father and guru.

I arrived at Samatva Yogalaya thinking i knew what yoga was. It turns out i had barely scratched the surface of what is a truly interesting and beautiful lifestyle. Being only 19 when i arrived, i remember being very nervous. To my luck, it was the kindest, most humble and generous people who welcomed me into their family. To this, i am deeply grateful for the month i got to spend practicing and learning from Krishna, Sangeeta and Aneesh. It was not only the best and most enriching month of my life, it was also life changing in so many aspects. Being in the present moment, observing and feeling with my entire body and mind, eating 3 fresh and insanely delicious indian meals every day and of course the amazing habits that are introduced to you, which now i couldnโ€™t be without. And not to mention the most real and heartfelt friendships you get along the way! I am already planning my next visit to my amazing, new indian family, and i canโ€™t wait to come back!

The training in Samatva Yogalaya was one of the best experience I ever had. Samantha Yogalaya was the first school I came across when I was choosing the training in Rishikesh and I'm so glad I didn't have to look moch more further. Krishna and his family are very welcoming. Their knowledge that they shared with us throught the practice was delivered in the best posible way. Krishna is the best story teller. The school where the training took place was well set up and we had the luxury of having our own room. It was great that it was slightly out of the main street of the town. I will definitely come back if I get the chance.

I finished 200h YTT in 2018 at Samatva with Krishna and Sangeeta. I still have great fond memories from Samatva learning asana, pranayama, and theory of yoga. Krishna and Sangeeta are both great teachers and I still think about their teachings on alignment when I practice yoga now.

I am grateful to Krishna, Sangeeta and Aneesh for the experience! It was a month of re-connection to the essence with presence in the body through breath and asanas and one step closer to what yoga truly is. I will hold this experience as one of the important benchmarks of my journey. I highly recommend Samatva Yogalaya to anyone who wants to go deep into the postures and the philosophy behind them. I came home with body and mind purified and steady and much more flexible and balanced. Thank you!

I stayed two months at the school doing a 500hr training and loved every minute. The school facilities were great as it was the accommodation and the food. The group was perfect, they kept it to small numbers so we really got attention and practice hours! I loved that we were encouraged to research and present on a chosen subject instead of memorising for test!! Finally, the most important thingโ€ฆ the teachers Krishna and Sangeeta are amazing, knowledgeable, caring, and clearly live their yoga. If you want to experience traditional teaching of yoga in India without the westernised esoteric woo-wooโ€ฆ this is your school.
