Hard to believe it’s Labour Day weekend, no CFL in Regina SK for LDC & the Banjo Bowl in Winnipeg weekend next weekend. Why not take a drive to Birds Hill Provincial Park just north of Winnipeg to enjoy the peace and quiet whether you’re with family, friends or alone there is fun for all ages. Young and old can enjoy the fresh air for their lungs at the park. Even the dogs with their own were enjoying their day. The leaves are starting to change their colour one part of me is sad to say bye to summer but Mother Nature knows how to bring in the Fall with so much colour. Once was a beach with people playing & swimming will be drained next weekend than than will turn into a huge sand dune. The screaming in the water changed to the Canadian Geese enjoying the water waiting to head south for the winter. It was a little cooler today but still enjoyable to go for a walk, cycle, riding horses, hiking, roller blading, having a picnic/BBQ. Even though the weather is changing you can still enjoy the outdoors as the park.

Unfortunately yesterday my husband took a little tumble at the beach and scraped his knee. He was so distressed and what could have been a traumatic experience turned out to be okay because an amazing lifeguard OLIVIA came to help and SAVED HIS LIFE! 100000/10 So grateful for this wonderful lady, god bless.

It’s a very good place for the kids to have fun as the water is not too deep. It a nice place to spend some time just even for walking.

It's great for families. The water isn't that deep unless u go far. And there are multiple play grounds and nets for sports! Overall friendly beach.

We really love coming here with our kiddo early in the mornings on the weekend. The beach space is really nice and fairly long, they do grade the sand as well, so it is usually smooth, and they have a playground that is good for kids around 2-5 or older. So lots to do. The water is nice and shallow so our kid can walk around in it really well, and we usually leave before it starts to get really busy. There are also washrooms, food, picnic tables, and in the summer they do have some lifeguards on duty. Highly recommend it for a short trip, on a nice day.

My husband slipped and fell over garbage in the lake then ended up getting a leach on him. He was in a distress state and we did not know what to do but thankfully this young lady named olivia came to the rescue and saved my poor husband. God bless you olivia not leaches I’m giving this 5 stars for Olivia but 0 for the beach because they need to clean up. So I’m giving three stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Easy access, close to Winnipeg, a lot of amenities and facilities, a lot of trails for bicycling in the park, very good beach and the water is good for swimming.

Decent scape from the city. Surrounded with a beautiful park and wild animals. Beaches, camping sites, cycling roads and bbq spots!

Even in the off season, theres a lot of fun to be had. A week before the May long weekend and all the water amenities, such as bathrooms and sand wash stations were already operational. The beach had also been raked clean. The quality of the sand is top notch. The goose poop was few and far between.

Kids had a good time but when it came to trying to purchase food or drinks at 2:00 pm we were told the hours were 12:00-5:00 but the staff decided to close early. I can understand closing an hour early but being open for 2 hours and closing 3 go outs early seems excessive

Great times but lots of biting fish while you smile. They nip everyone. My kids used pails and caught them and that was a good day experience. Problem is food around there closes early. Tried to buy ice cream but shop closed at 5pm.

Leeches swimming freely in the shallow parts at the edge of the water. Many dead minos in the water. Sand was nicely raked and play structures were good. Just stay away from the water.
