    I brought these bagels to some friends in Virginia, they were stale and rock hard. I asked the young 19 year old to try and get some fresh ones he said "none of these are fresh" so I had to settle. Worst bagels I've had in NY. Ashamed to bring them down. I probably wouldn't complain if it hadn't been for the fact that I tried to call and put in my order for two dozen bagels over the phone, but was told by the young kid that I had to use an app or come into the store as they don't take call in orders. Very disappointed because I used to go here a lot years ago. EDIT RESPONSE TO OWNER: When I GOT the bagels they were stale. I also transported them in plastic bags, I've done this many times before with other bagel spots. I'm not trying to embellish, I came here for years when I lived close, I was remiss to leave this review. I was hoping you'd take the opportunity to exercise good conflict resolution but instead you went on the defense. No acknowledgement of the 19 year old kids left in charge who were too lazy to bother serving me correctly or make sure I didn't get stale bagels. But I suppose you trained them well considering you have the maturity of a 19 year old with the passive aggressive comments to your customers. Really giving out some FIRST CLASS service 🤡

    Whenever my sister is entertaining friends & family, she raves about this place... AND NOW I KNOW WHY!!! While I already knew I loved their bagels 🥯 I had no idea this was where she got the pastries too. This morning's delicious decision was a veggie egg white sandwich w/ feta on a marble bagel 🥯 😋 and it was #PerfectlyDone. Sis kept it simple... sausage & eggs 🥚 🪺 on a plain bagel 🥯 (boring but good). Also picked up a cherry 🍒 crumb/tart/pie. To state the obvious... I'll definitely be back and I'm sending all my peeps there too. #LocalGem #theresthatfoodie

    The woman I first spoke to at checkout was very nice and sweet she had black hair. Then when I came to buy something else some old guy behind the counter goes "I thought they were already taken care of" in a very rude tone. Like sir if you don't want my money just say that. Then I tried to say thank you and be appreciative like I always do with food service workers and he over looks Me to talk to another customer. Very rude and doesn't have a bone of customer service in his body.

    Been coming here for over 20 years, buying bagels, egg sandwiches and deli sandwiches. This place used to be 5/5, but these past 5 years, the quality of the food just isn’t the same. Bagels are not as doughy, egg sandwiches are drier than they used to be. And the last deli sandwich I had came with a potato salad that was just terrible. I don’t know what has happened to this place. Maybe new ownership? You just don’t taste the love in the food, that used to be there many years ago. I will keep trying though, because like I said, it used to be amazing.

    This place used to be good, but these days it's awful! Not only are the bagels mediocre, the baked goods are terrible. Yes, they're enormous in size but all too often are stale to the point of being inedible. (I ordered a cheese danish last weekend and upon biting into it discovered the cheese was moldy!! UGHH!!!!) Plus the service is horrible -- there's always a long line because they're understaffed and most of the kids they have working there have no idea what they're doing. Plus they placed a fraudulent charge on my credit card last fall. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! OK, Mr. (Ms.?) owner, since you decided to reply and slander me, I'm going to reply right back. First of all, the fact that you needed to attack me personally proves just how badly your business is mismanaged. Secondly, all the one-star reviews here can't be wrong. Are we all going to some other bagel place where we have "VIP" status?? You sound like some kind of deranged conspiracy nut. Secondly, to answer the lies in your reply: 1. I ate the cheese danish (at least until I came upon the moldy bit) a few minutes after leaving your establishment, so it had to do with YOUR storage/food prep. Don't blame it on your customers: that only proves what a defensive jackass you are. 2. Your business DID fraudently charge my credit card, and I will be happy to post proof of it here if you want to pick a fight with me. My credit card company investigated, and found that it was fraud (a second charge of over $ 50 was added to the charge I made), and subsequently refunded me the money that YOUR business tried to steal from me (the only time this has ever happened to me, by the way). Despite that, I continued to give you my business. Fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice, shame on you! 3. Your serving staff are mostly new; I know this, because until last week (when I discovered the mold in my cheese danish), I continued to foolishly continue to come to your store. You can be certain that will never happen again, and I hope that those reading this review will benefit from my bad experience. And, unfortunately, many of your new employees don't know their jobs even though they seem to be nice people. That's the reason for the perpetual long lines in recent months -- NOT because your food is any good. And if "these kids" have been with you for "many years," my question is: did you hire them when they were eleven? Most of "these kids" appear to be teenagers. 4. Last but not least, your accusation that "people like me hide behind these bs reviews" is, well, bs. If you had taken a minute to scroll down and read my other Google reviews, you'd see they are all five-star, for reputable businesses that deserve to have customers. Unlike your business, I might add. Believe me, if I could give your business zero stars, I would, and I'll bet many of the other one-star reviewers here on Google would do the same. Again, are we all wrong??

    First class is an apt name for this place, because these bagels were delicious. From bacon egg and cheese to just simple cream cheese and butter, the portions have been generous and delicious, but most importantly the bagels have always tasted fresh even when showing up a little late. Coffee ain't half bad either, and a large iced is enough to fuel a jet plane! Service can be a little slow, but the quality is worth the extra wait. Parking lot right out front makes it a breeze to come and go too.

    I bought a whole crumb cake here Saturday evening before they closed for someone’s birthday. When we cut into it in, it was entirely crumb, dry and hard. We couldn’t find any cake. I brought it back the next day for a refund or exchange and was told that there was nothing they can do unless the manager was there. It was 3:05pm on a Sunday so not sure why the manager had already gone home but we got her/he on the phone and she/he refused to do anything. They tried to tell me there should be crumb on the cake as if I have never had one before. This was such a terrible experience, my in laws live in the neighborhood so we used to come here for bagels but we will never be back. It is overpriced and the quality is average at best. I would not recommend this place to anyone, there’s plenty of better spots around the neighborhood.

    So I’d makes this a lower review if that order mistake wasn’t so funny. On my way to the Hamptons today and stopped in for a sandwich to eat on the beach. Ordered a Turkey and Salami hero, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard and BANANA Peppers. The sandwich is got had BANANAS and PEPPERS 🤮. Like you cut up a banana and didn’t think it was strange enough to clarify?!? Whatever there was so much banana mixed in the mayo it was a mess to take off so I swallowed my shame as well as this very bizarre sandwich Otherwise everything looks really good if a little expensive but I’d give them another try. Just no more banana in my turkey please.

    As many have previously mentioned, avoid at all costs. Purchased desserts that were inedible. Cheesecake tasted sour and bad and cookie was burned. Waste your money if you’d like.

    Went there for lunch with my wife today. She ordered a well done scrambled egg and cheese sandwich which was not scrambled and the white of the egg was half done. I ordered a plain bagel with a side of butter and got a bagel that was so hard and tasteless that it must have been left over from the weekend. Instead of a small container of fresh butter, I was given four pats of butter that must have been taken out of the freezer since it took 10 minutes before it could be spread. The half eaten sandwich and half of the rock hard bagel found it's way into the trash which is where it belongs. In addition to the inedible food, we were served by a person who seemed to want to be anywhere but behind the counter of a food establishment. Bad food and bad service is bad for a business where there are no less than a dozen other bagel.shops along Jericho Turnpike between East Northport and Commack.

    I live out East found this place by accident but I would return clean nice place plenty of places to sit really sweet, blue-eyed dark-haired woman greeted me she respected the smear on my bagel lol and the coffee was piping hot which is how it should Be bagel was delicious and so is the vegetable cream cheese five stars

    It looks nice but my sausage egg n cheese with hot sauce on a wrap was around $10.50 i realize inflation but $10.50 for an egg sandwich that’s literally no better or worse than the next place. I definitely won’t be back

    We had breakfast (an omelette and pancakes) and the food was great. Just be prepared to wait a while for your food (the person taking the order warned me it could take some time though so we knew what to expect). Decor of the place was nice and clean. Staff was very nice. Good experience.

    By far, the BEST place around! We are looking to move back to N.Y. to the area and we have been flying up from Florida. The owners immediately treated us like they've known us forever. The staff is so warm and friendly and forget about the food! Best breakfast, bagels, cakes, it's all so amazing. My kids highlight of the trip! Can't wait to move back. They're going to be sick of us! Haha💜

    Great little breakfast lunch place.. with a small sit in eatery. You do need to place order at counterfirst and they bring it to you.plusthey have a pastry selection for anyone with a sweet tooth..

    My favorite bagel spot, bagels are always so fresh, and they have the best veggie cream cheese here! They have a variety of sandwiches as well as bakery treats!

    Used to love this place but the service and quality that I have experienced over the past few months has been horrendous so I will not be returning to this bagel store. The staff is extremely rude and lies to customers. I called the store asking what time the grill shuts off, the person I spoke to told me I can come in and order by 2:00 pm. I got there at 1:45 and was told with an attitude that the grill is off already. After calling, I drove all the way there for no reason and was given the worst attitude by employees. The system to order food online always has issues and I have never been to another restaurant or establishment that you are not allowed to call in your order. The quality of preparing orders has also gone down. I have gotten mistakes in my order a few times recently as well as barely any cream cheese on the bagels. Terrible service does not care about customers at all

    Wow, came here bc of the terrible experience I had here a week ago. I waited a week so I wouldn’t write something emotional but now that I see the other reviews I can’t help but tell of my experience. Been going here for bagels and an occasional bakery item. So many of these reviews sum up my experience, the negative ones sadly. Yea, I have received moldy pastries. Yes I’ve gotten burnt bagels, crushed bagels. On this last occasion I got home to find that I had been given mostly the wrong bagels. When I returned to the store the person who helped me had trouble understanding all the language and the issue of giving someone the wrong items. At this point I was told that I had said the wrong thing to the person, my fault. When I said I don’t eat these bagels and will have to throw them out I was told “there your bagels, you can do whatever you want with them..” No acknowledgment of the situation by the management who was right there. When approached the manager made it appear that the problem was mine, not a bit of customer support/care. After speaking with the person with long white hair I left this business feeling like I had done something wrong. I felt like I was wrong for questioning my mistake. There was a personal statement from her regarding my gender and appearance. I walked out of there thinking that a miscommunication, that could have been easily resolved had digressed into me feeling like I had don’t something wrong. Having read these reviews I don’t feel so badly anymore, this happens quite often recently. After seeing these reviews and having personal interactions with the manager I can expect there will be a reply stating how I have done something wrong. It’s the customer service industry, the manager seems burnt. It wears people out, and it’s obviously done that here. Time to get out/change jobs/sell before all good will is spent. Used to be my go to place, tell friends and family. Those days are over. Plenty of bagel/bakeries in the area

    Came by this morning and it was such a great experience. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating from the moment we walked in the door. Sara went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. She was super kind to my family and we will definitely be coming back because of her. Such a great selection of sandwiches and pastries. Would definitely recommend the Love & Affection sandwich special it was incredible.

    I got a buttered roll and was charged $4.48… I didn’t realize it until I went to leave and it was 5 am so I didn’t have the energy to question this. I won’t be going back.
